Extra crowded because of rainy weather and patio not available, so all the wait staff was inside! Our waitress was very helpful in suggesting dishes, including half a Caesar salad and half order of chowder (neither on the menu as a half portion choice). When deciding whether to order lobster tail or lobster dinner, she suggested lobster & scallop fettuccini, which came with a lobster tail. Lobster stuffed haddock was a little overcooked. DInners were very slow coming out, maybe because there was one very large party nearby. Kitchen must be small for the size of the restaurant.

Although we were there for a late lunch, they let me order from the dinner menu because I really wanted a meal with fish and now shellfish. I ordered the Pan Fried Haddock and absolutely loved it, especially with the glazed carrots and glazed new potatoes. If we were locals, this would be our 'go to' restaurant for regular meals out. My husband had the lobster roll platter and chowder and both of those were great too. Service was great too. Very happy for the delectable memory.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have a meal when she spotted this place. We were lucky enough to get in without a reservation. The service was fantastic, our server, Autumn, was fantastic and saw to our every need. The food was spectacular. We ordered a lobster and artichoke dip to start and it was almost a meal by itself, very good. My wife had a seafood chowder and she said it was one of the best that she has tasted, she ordered chowder or soup all of the time so she knows her stuff. Although everyone has their own tastes. I ordered Lobster stuffed Haddock and it was pretty good. Laid out on garlic mashed potatoes and brocoli, the presentation was great, but I took care of that in short order. Now I am from an area that has all of the seafood you can look for and I eat a lot of it. So much so that my wife tries to get me to order something other then fish. I have a good idea of what haddock and Lobster should taste like and this was as pretty well as close as you could get to my tastes. My only issue was that I would have liked it a little hotter but it was not cold enough to complain about. I just like my food extra hot. The servers were very busy and at times you could see the strain on their faces from being tired but they all did a wonderful job. I saw some of the other orders that were being brought out of the kitchen and my wife and I were in awe at the size of the orders. We will most likely return here in the future and I will be sure to bring my appetite. Thanks to everyone there. it was our pleasure to eat at you establishment

This restaurant seems very busy at dinner time. I ordered the Seafood and Steak, where you choose the type of Steak and Seafood you want, which is priced accordingly. The meal came with complimentary Bannock Bread and Butter, which was ok. I had the 7oz Tenderloin Steak with Lobster Tail. It came with choice of Potatoes and Vegetables. The Steak was slightly over cooked, dry and lacked flavour. I chose the Parmesan crusted mashed Potatoes, which arrived cold and had no flavour. You could tell that the mashed Potatoes were cooked perhaps days in advance and were supposed to be microwaved before being served. They were terrible. The Vegetables were over cooked and soggy. They were obviously cooked earlier in the day and stored in a container of warm water. They were not good. Service was average.

I really wanted to be wowed by the restaurant, but it was mediocre at best. 3 of us dined this evening, they were busy and we had a reservation that was honoured and we were seated immediately. We ordered two glasses of wine and a mocktail. The mocktail came out of a can and had no garnish or anything that was interesting at all. It was so flavourless that a replacement drink was ordered. The oysters were ok, but despite repeated requests from our server, we have no idea what they were let alone how fresh, etc. We were told they came from their supplier and were the cheapest. I asked for more info repeatedly. The seafood dip was outstanding! Full of fresh seafood. One of our party had the pasta. They accommodated dietary needs and the pasta was full of lovely seafood. The fish platter two of us shared was a true miss. The clams and scallops on the platter were great. The fish was terrible and the shrimp were only ok. I am so disappointed in the meal. The prices are reasonably but the qualiry is uneven at best. A shame for a place with potential.

I took my brother, his wife and friends out for a birthday celebration. Overall, most people were happy with their food choices. Their wine selection was limited, but good. My brother (whose birthday we were celebrating ) was disappointed with his “prime rib” steak. When he saw “prime rib” on the menu, he assumed that it was the traditionally cooked, thick, slow roasted prime rib. It was actually a large, thin steak that was grilled and tough. He asked for medium rare, but it came well done. I ordered a tenderloin steak. The waitress forgot to ask me how I liked my steak . It came medium, but I prefer medium rare. I also ordered a combo with crab legs. The crabs legs were cooked well. When the restaurant found out we were celebrating 3 birthdays, the server brought us 3 super delicious pieces of cream cheese covered red velvet cake with fresh fruit, complete with sparklers. ( complementary birthday cake). Our server was very friendly and our food service was good. I recommend this restaurant, but they need to explain their steak options better and pay attention to cooking steaks to the customer’s order.

We were visiting from the Toronto area and wanted as much seafood as possible so we stopped for lunch at this highly rated restaurant. I mentioned my dairy, gluten and soy allergies and Paige, our server was accommodating and knowledgeable about which dishes I could eat. The salad I got had scrumptious shrimp and this maple vinaigrette that I still can't forget because it was one of the most delicious things I had. My partner had a lobster roll and fries which he said were tasty. The oysters were great however the only issue we had was that they weren't rinsed properly as we got sand and grit as well as little pieces of shell which we never experienced the other times we ate oysters at other restaurants. Otherwise, a good clean place with great food and clean bathrooms. I personally Love all the Indigenous art work they had as decor.

Awesome Experience!

What a delightful lunch experience for our group of three! The indigenous artwork on display were beautiful additions to the decor. Our servers, Adam and Alyssa(trainee) were knowledgeable and very personable. One member of our group was a vegetarian and when she asked for options, Adam gave several selections, that could easily be adapted. The presentation of each of our meals was appealing, the meals were delicious and the portions were generous. There were other diners, but there was no rush for us to finish our meals. This spot is at the top of our list for a return visit!

We visited this past month for our second time. Our first experience a year ago was good. This month the experience was poor. We were truly so very disappointed. We were so looking forward to our evening. My stuffed haddock was not hot and there was an 8 inch long hair in it. Really put me off. My husbands salmon was well overcooked. The third dish (Lobster) was lovely. Our waitress was unpleasant and made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. The waitress who looked after the next table was lovely and very pleasant. The person looking after you is so important and this woman is in the wrong job. She was always rushing around and curt with us.

WOW! Stopped by for lunch and was truly impressed with the quality of the food and the fantastic wait staff. The seafood chowder was very, very good (and comes with fresh baked bread). I had the clams and haddock - huge portion and cooked to perfection. My wife had the salmon salad and found the fish to be delish - fresh and plentiful. Other menu items seemed wonderful. Our waitress, Raven was friendly, knowledgeable and quite helpful. Will definitely be back - highly recommend this establishment.

We had a very enjoyable dinner at Wolastoq last night and were pleased that the food and service were back to their expected high standards after our disappointing experience on the patio last year. The restaurant was very busy. Our server, Abby, was pleasant and efficient. Although the dine around Fredericton menu was available, we opted for the regular menu. The service was quick and the delicious bannock was enjoyed by all. My wife had the seafood linguini, I had the seafood risotto, and our grandson had the lobster roll. All were excellent and the portions very generous, especially the lobster roll. We shared a green salad and carrot cake. It was nice to see they offered premium wines, like Beringer, by the glass which was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has done well and was highly recommended for a business dinner. I could see the potential, unfortunately it just didn’t shine through during my visit. Everyone was friendly. The inside is small, with a large patio extended to the side parking lot. Meals are pricy. A few disappointing things that occurred during our visit included dirty wine glass, standard wine glasses no matter what wine is ordered, butter for bread in the plastic takeaway pods, out of stock on some wines, whole lobster, and shrimp. The seafood risotto had a mixture of small lobster pieces and it looked like the shortage on shrimp may have extended to scallops as well because there were several mini shrimp and scallops (like the frozen kind) mixed in with a few of the regular sizes. I’m sure many have had a great experience here and it wasn’t bad, just did not leave me wanting to return based on the experience de I had that one particular evening.

Ordered takeaway. Hair in food, missing items, poor service

We were in from out of town visiting my sister. With 3 boys under 6 in the house, we decided to order takeaway from Wolastoq so we could at least have a nice meal at home. Upon returning and setting the table we found the seared tuna was missing it's vinaigrette (and with no option in the house my wife simply had dried salad). No garlic bun with that ether. My sister ordered their Mac & Cheese and it came complete with a long brown hair in it. Gross. Phoned to complain about this and they say they would refund the items. We flew out the following day and were told if there was an issue they'd let us know. They did not refund anything and when calling they could "no longer find the order" Save your business and head somewhere else. The quality control there has proven to be terrible.

Excellent seafood!! We paid $45 for the lobster dish with scallops shrimps and mussels. Worth every penny. Their started breads are really good too. Served warm and super fresh. Staff are nice but they expect high tips than other places you’d normally go (18%).

It was difficult for me to make myself understood for my Reservation , even my name which I pronounce well in English. I had to spell it 3X. I don’t speak English well but still!!! I think there was a bad time from my interlocutor.In short, we surrendered well and the service was impeccable and warm despite our bad English. Mac’cheese with lobster, very good and generous in lobster. The soft Rockefeller oysters surprised a little because they are far too hot. We no longer taste oysters. The chowder was warm. Fried ice cream, a delight!
