Breakfast and lunch road-side diner that was a feast for the eyes and the mouth. The Cabin's t-shirt slogan was "What's said at the Cabin, stays at the Cabin." What an awesome testament to the family who runs this quaint diner. Each wall was devoted...to New Brunswick sports such as hockey (of course), racing, and golf. The meals were affordable and portions generous. It was obvious the hometown crowd loved be recognized as their orders didn't even need to be taken by the wait-staff. I'm going back again when I can order more off-the-grill treats.More

Absolute rustic and old-school diner/greasy spoon with friendly servers and simple food, but one heck of a SOLID lobster roll! The place may look a little dodgy when you pass by it at night but trust me inside is all Fredericton style hospitality. Nice and...comforting. Good breakfast options too! Apparently, this spot has been open since the 50s, so that is a testament to its quality.More

Growing up in Fredericton, The Cabin has always been a comforting experience for me. Recently, I decided to introduce a couple of friends who aren't from here to the restaurant. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by an unpleasant encounter with an older, blond woman who...seems to work every Tuesday. Throughout the day, she exhibited condescending and rude behavior towards us. My order, a turkey dinner, arrived as a hot turkey sandwich. When I brought this to her attention, she insisted that I was mistaken and refused to acknowledge the error. Despite the familiar taste of the food from my childhood, the overall experience was overshadowed by the woman's rudeness. The atmosphere conveyed an attitude of indifference, as if they were successful with or without our patronage. Disheartened by the poor service, my friends and I have decided to explore other restaurants in the future, and we will not be returning to The Cabin.More

This small little restaurant has been around forever. It's a gem for breakfast but get there as they have about 10 tables and that's it. If you drink decaf coffee..forget it. They bring you a bottle of decaf Taster's Choice to make your own with...hot water. But the first time you ask for bacon you'll go wow! There's plenty of it on your plate. Great spot and friendly.More

I came in 15 minutes before close. It is a small neighborhood restaurant. My order was a clubhouse with onion rings. It was very good ,VERY GOOD. Thick slices of bacon and THICK slices of turkey. It had to be Hellman's Mayonnaise and without asking...my onion rings were well done which I like. Basically a very good home cooked meal. It was very well done. It was the first time I have eaten there but am going back for breakfast tomorrow. That was home cooking for the soul. Thank you KeithMore

The people that worked there were super friendly. The place seemed neat the atmosphere it reminded us of another place we had been to somewhere else. I ordered the eggs Benedict with grilled potatoes. My husband the steak and mashed. Our food was out super...fast maybe 10 minutes. My food was cold only the sauce on Benny was hot. My husband's food the steak didn't look great fatty and overcooked he asked for medium he said it was ok. We also had a fly bothering us while we were eating. Since food came out super fast I do wonder if it was fresh. I still have waitress a good tip not her fault. My husband would like to come back and try again me not so much I really wanted to love it but couldn't too badMore

I get that it's been around a while and its somewhat nostalgic but the food needs a makeover. Unless your into your mom's cooking when you go out to eat.

Lunch was terrible. Should have gotten the breakfast. Over cooked roast beef. Sauce on sandwich tasteless. Good fries though. Watery coffee. Waitress was real nice

I am a regular customer and I love it here the waitresses are so nice. They welcome everyone! What makes the Cabin so special is that there is history everywhere-and it may seem small but it is mighty! All the food there is delicious my...personal favourite is their milkshakes! This restaurant is the perfect place to eat if your looking for a quick meal, there is all day breakfast lunch and dinner. I give the Cabin 5 stars because its just a wonderful place in the community and im sure many people love it. I must say there seems to be people that dont like the cabin-and thats ok but sometimes it is nice to go to a small tasty restaurant and have a meal with your family and friends not go to one of those big chain restaurants with 200 people. I love the Cabin and I hope you will too!More

We didn't like food. Green peas and carrots probably from can, grilled cheese sandwich basic, eggs tasted weird...the waitresses were really nice. Sits are tight, not enough room between tables. Deco, curtains look old. This is not a place I would recommend.

I was SHOCKED by how rude the waitress was. I almost never submit bad reviews but this was really the WORST experience. It was so bad that we could not stand there any longer, we instead went to Claudine's which felt amazing with the friendly...staff and great food.More

We ordered two turkey dinners. They have it on the menu daily, so you would assume it would be always fresh. First, the rolls were dried out. Second the dressing was strong tasting. Lastly, but most important was the turkey itself; it was a messy...pile of dried out, tough, and torn up fragments of meat. There wasn't one actual carved slice of turkey on the plate. Obviously there wasn't any meat left on the carcass so they widdled out miniscule bits off the bones. What we got was what we usually give our dog when we finish off our home-cooked turkeys. We mentioned our concern to them, but there was no response or attempt to compensate for the poor meals. Never will go there again. Such a shame! .More

As a long time customer of this restaurant and a known regular I was in attendance when this incident on Monday morning occurred.Although I was not privy to the conversations that took place with the owner, the waitress or the senior who wrote this review...I did indeed see her reaction which was rude and over the top.The waitress did tell her to have a nice day but did not follow her out the door. The lady left out the part where she dropped an f bomb and proceeded to exit the premises slamming the door so hard the walls shook!! I would hope as a senior myself that this type of behavior is not deemed acceptable. I would also like to point out that the staff at the Cabin has always been polite, friendly and extremely accommodating.I hope that she was simply having a bad day. An apology on her part would seem to be in order.More

Small, rather grubby little diner in Fredericton. The food is generally passable--pretty much like run-of-the-mill diner food in any city. The atmosphere is dark and dingy and the decor consists mainly of old bric-a-brac gathered up between thrift shops and dollar stores. It hasn't been...updated in years, but the result is dingy rather than nostalgic. The seating is uncomfortable and cramped and there is little to no sunlight in the place. This is not a place for restless kids, for date night, or for Mothers Day. If your preference is quantity before quality---and there is nothing wrong with that--then you'll be happy with the amount of potatoes on your breakfast plate. However, there isn't anything special on the menu that can't be found somewhere else. We also felt pressured to order and to leave. (Also this was during Covid and I felt there was little social distancing being practised due to the small seating area.)More
