During Covid times, they asked for Id and vacs proof Friendly service, food was excellent, especially their fish and chips . Of course their beer was good, they have been brewing for years. Moncton location is still new and fresh.

First thing I noticed was the atmosphere, followed by exceptional service and their curry is amazing!

Went there with friends for lunch and from the start, was not well greeted. No one was overly friendly or welcoming. There was only a few tables taken when we got there and it took a long time to get served/take our orders. It did...get busy but took 2 hours to eat and pay for a lunch. 2 of us got tacos for taco week in which they forgot the sauce and so it was very dry. After asking if it should come with sauce, she unapologetically brought some sour cream (which should have come with one of them). My friend is allergic to dairy so asked if the sauce was mayo.. wanted to make sure there was no dairy. The waitress answered, walked away and then rolled her eyes like she was annoyed. Probably though we didn’t see her. Worse overpaid food/service received in a restaurant. At least with the overpriced food, you’d think you’d get half decent service. Not to mention a different waiter had delivered our food and tried to give it to 2 other different tables before finally bringing to us, the right table. So poorly organized.More

While the atmosphere is quite pleasant and noise level low enough to enjoy conversation at your table our overall experience was somewhat dissapointing. We were seated right away but a lot of time passed before a waiter came over to greet us. no drink order...was taken while we were waiting. When the waiter did finally arrive it was straight to taking a food order and I had to request a beverage and a beverage list as none was present at the table. Food prep took above average timewise and I noticed a lot of dishes were sitting under the lights at the kitchen serving counter. Once our food did arrive the first thing I tried was a french fry as they looked like they were going to be good skin on fries...Utter dissapointment. Cold cardboard was all they tasted like. It wasn't until awhile later that I realized the fries were in a large metal bowl sitting under the lights. Well then that part now makes sense...absolutely no timing on having fries being ready fresh as the meal is ready from the grill... My comments are meant only for the restaurant to use in a positive way...I hope they read this and make the changes and have a successful business.More

I went to the Gahan House with a few friends. Right off the bat out waitress was extremely rude and was very short with all of us. She didn’t ask how we were or welcome us to the restaurant; all she asked was if we...just wanted water to drink. We were given dirty looks, and not only were we brought out the wrong food, but when we corrected our orders, we received rude stares and were looked up and down in a demeaning manner. Our server had put a damper on our entire night that we had been looking forward to. I believe that we were treated poorly because we are a group of younger girls (19 years old) who had been stereotyped as teenagers who would not tip. No matter the age, paying customers deserve to be treated fairly. This waitress, who hadn’t even introduced herself to us, needs to start leaving her emotions and feelings out of the work environment. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, my friends and I will not be returning to this restaurant.More

4 of us and toddler stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Promptly seated and served. As for food, general consensus was that it was tasty, but expensive for the portion size. I had a breakfast burrito, which was primarily filled with rice and black...beans. Wife had nachos, which were well dressed. Both of our dishes came with house made salsa, which we both found missed any semblance of heat that a good salsa should have. Nice place with beautiful decor, but not somewhere I’d say I have to return to when back in Moncton.More

We came to Moncton for a few days and were staying at the Hilton property attached to this restaurant. I had been to the Gahan House in Halifax a few times so I was excited to see it in Moncton. We started with Pretzel bites...as our appetizer. I was a little nervous about this because of the mustard and cheese dip. I do not like mustard at all. However, try this even if you do not like mustard. This was such a good appetizer. The salty pretzels combined with that dip. It was so good. It is not one of the things I crave. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the beet salad. I liked the sandwich. Was it my favorite? Not at all but that is a personal preference thing. I did not like the slaw on my sandwich. I ate it without the bun but I had t push the slaw off. I did not like the taste of it. The chicken was really well cooked and tasted good. I loved the beet salad too. I did not like the little bowl it was in because the dressing was not over all of the salad. I needed to make room on my plate to have the salad out so I could mix it more. Tasted great though. It was not the watermelon salad which used to be on the menu but it is really good. My mother had the fish and chips. She really liked her first piece of fish but she felt the second piece was not cooked. I think it was but the heat of the other piece of fish on top of it made it wet so the batter was soggy and gave it a strange texture. The fries were really good too. Overall, no complaints at all. I like Gahan house. I like that the menu changes sometimes so you can try other things. I will continue to come here when I am in Moncton.More

My partner and I have been to this restaurant a few times now since we moved to Moncton in November 2019. We love the beer selection, and the beers are really quite good (the Island red--hope I got the name right--is my favourite). We've tried...a few items on the menu, and the tacos (both the chicken and the haddock ones) are great, as is the fish and chips. I've had the latter several times and it does not disappoint. The chicken and chorizo penne is also good. The cast iron pork tenderloin is also great, or so I'm told (I haven't tried it yet myself). The one item I've had that I didn't care for that much was the coconut chicken curry, although it was passable. There are still a few items on the menu that I would love to try, and I look forward to going back and doing so. As the title says, this is one of our go-to places in the city.More

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm. Outside patio was quite busy so we chose to sit inside it wasn’t busy at that hour. My husband and I decided to share the Street Corn and the Falafel tacos with a side...of beet salad. Everything was very good. There was nothing left on our plates. My husband also enjoyed two glasses of their craft beer. The bill came to approximately $53. This was my first time at the Gahan House, I’ll definitely order the corn again as an appetizer and can’t wait to try something else off the menu! Presentation was superb. We did wait a bit for our food but we didn’t mind, we chatted and my husband enjoyed the beer. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised!More
