I had a cod and curry dish. There were a lot of veggies on the plate and perfectly cooked. Also the cod was a large piece and flaky / hot. The downfall I thought was the curry sauce on the fish. It appeared to be...more of a room temperature and somehow the flavor did not seem to be cohesive with the overall dish. The menu also described the dish with basil ( maybe that was in the sauce ? ) and topped with cashews. The dish was served with peanuts instead. A little disappointing ! Thankfully I do not have a peanut allergy. We shared a piece of chocolate cake for desset and that we 100% enjoyed. Another positive was the waitress. She was very busy but friendly and efficientMore

It was very busy and we didn’t have reservations, but they had ample seating were able to accommodate us. We were able to enjoy dinner outside in their outdoor dining area on a beautiful warm September evening. For our meal we ordered fish tacos and...local fried clams; both were delicious. They offered a local brew called Richard, which was a nice addition to the meal. I would definitely eat here again.More

I was really pleased with the quality of the food and choices within the menu. Staff were very courteous, and although they were short handed and we were a very large group, I feel they were absolutely as prompt with their service as they were...able. My meal was excellent, presentation was good, place seemed clean, overall very satisfied.More

We were walking in St. John. We stumbled on an area near the shipyards. There are a few restaurants side by side. We decided to try this restaurant. The patio is on gravel stones. We ordered the steak with salad and potatoes. It wasn’t great....Tough meat and soggy salad. The overall taste was bland. I would not go back. The waitress we had was very friendly and kind as we have various dietary restrictions. It just felt there was no attention to detail in the preparation of the food.More

My family ate dinner here twice while in Saint John. The location down at the Port was wonderful. We ate outside both evenings. The food was great and the service was attentive. We had lobster, lobster rolls, fish and chips and seafood carbonara - all...delicious.More

The food was truly good, however it took over 1 hr 15 minutes before we saw any kind of food coming our way. And during that time no one came to check on us. We had to get u- and ask for additional water. Very...disappointing. To top it off the machines are set to default at a tip of 18, 20, 25 %. Since when did tips no longer had any veering on the actual service?? It is a sad thing nowadaysMore

Outside or inside dining available. We were inside because it was raining. We actually ate in the bar. Good menu variety with plenty of crat local beer selections.

They used to be one of the best place in town, but they went downhill really bad. Escargot au gratin, the cheese was barely melted. Fried clams, the clams were good, but Cisco frozen coated fries, not fresh cut. Chicken nacho, the chicken was the...dried pre-cook chicken they sell in supermarkets, not fresh cooked chicken.More

Food very well prepared. Cocktails were amazing. It’s pricey but worth it. Seafood was very fresh. Best lobster I have ever had in my life. If you are ever in the area highly recommend.

Went for our first dinner out with our 10 month old on vacation. Both had the lobster boil - prepared well. Service was decent. Ambiance Okay - touristy. Would recommend calling ahead for a high chair.

Went for supper and got 2 appetizers. For a seafood focused restaurant, the 5 coconut shrimp i got were the same ones you can buy in the frozen section at a grocery store. The only difference you get 20 in the box for a cheaper...price. The blueberry salad was a bed of lettuce with a smoothie on top. My bill was over $40. Not worth it at all.More

Went here with a couple friends and had some great seafood. Personally had the lobster melt with fries and loved it. Good portion and very tasty. One of our favorite meals while in town so far.

Grannan’s has a prime location on the quay in a very heavy tourist area. Fine dining? Basically, a local version of Applebee’s. The wine was cheaper than cheaper. A handful of mostly low-end Australian imports that are on the same quality level as Yellow Tail....In other words, bad. One Canadian wine — a sauvignon blanc. The reds were almost exclusively Australian save for selections from Spain and Argentina as well as cheap Beringer from California for Cdn$48. There’s no reason for this being a below-average restaurant. As for for the food at this seafood-centric restaurant, I wanted the scallops but the waitress said they were pre-made with the bacon wrap and that couldn't be removed. Waitress also admitted the shrimp wasn't local or regional.More

Chowder was bland, cesar salad was great. Oysters were good but had no fixings... just plain on ice with some red wine vinegar (maybe? no one told me what it was). The rest was... meh. Server seemed... angry? All around a lot of money for...a meh lunch. Did I mention... meh?More
