Small town restaurant that impressed. Seating available inside (nice decor) and outside sidewalk w/umbrellas. We sat outside and it was very nice. Service was good and attentive.

We stopped in as it had an outdoor patio for food and drinks. Service was prompt and server was courteous. Several tables with patio umbrellas and other shaded areas. We opted to eat outside as opposed to inside as it was a beautiful day. Patio...is situated very close to Main Street however the vehicles drive very slow and noise was at a minimal. We started with calamari and it was delicious. There were various beers to choose from and we also had the fish and chips which were again delicious. Great portions, crispy light battered fish and chips.More
We had high hopes after reading reviews. The lobster roll was definitely the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot, soggy and weird housemade mayo you couldn’t tell what it was. The seafood casserole was bland and could stand some breadcrumbs. The drinks...were all mixed incorrectly. Shediac is great but don’t go here.More
Had a club sandwich with fries. It had plain lettuce and a thin yellow-red tomato; not great compared with some of the past meals shown on Tripadvisor. We were there during a quiet time. Prices were very high for quality of food.
We were with a group of almost 50 women for a weekend retreat in Shediac. Instead of following the group, three of us opted for finding a local eatery. In our three night stay we ate here twice! Excellent food, well presented and friendly service....Highly recommended.More
This is the 2nd time I eat at La Coast and both times were disappointing. The fish and chips were not inviting. The fish was overcooked and dry. It had no seasoning which made it quite bland. I thought the fish would be an improvement...from the chicken I had last time.More
service was great also the food. We had the club and the fish and salad. We ate outside on the terrace.
Disappointing in several ways - loonngg wait for service once we were seated, then cocktail ordered was very weak. Dinner did not improve matters...seafood chowder came covered in an overly-thick, gelatinous mound of cheese that was almost impossible to cut through. Once past the cheese,...the seafood was whole, not cut up, so I had to eat my chowder with a knife and fork. Maybe some like it this way, but after touring around the Gaspesie and East Coast for the last two weeks, every other chowder I have eaten was not served this way and was much more enjoyable.More
Looking forward to a great lobster roll but they do not have a good one. Yes, it has real lobster but just chunks on thick, tasteless, non toasted roll. Could never recommend.
The house salad was filled with complex flavours and totally fresh. The fish n' chips was a panko-crusted fishy dream come true. Very light, not greasy, and a boatlaod of fresh fish inside. The patio was a great place toi observe the traffic and enjoy...a hot day under an umbrella. Our server was very nice, got our order right, and was prompt as could be. LOVED IT!!!More
Went for lunch and loved it! The lobster rolls had big pieces of fresh lobster, the homemade fries were great and the salad dressing delicious. The young guy that served us was friendly and efficient. Great experience overall.
We LOVE the food from La Coast. We eat there regularly. Friday night La Coast burgers are a staple in our house. Perfect, local beef on a brioche bun . Simply put, the way a burger should taste. We have heard they made all their...sauces in house. Fries seem house made.Live music Friday nights! We are always sad when this restaurant closes down in the winter. But so excited to have it open again!More
The Home Made Soup was Excellent. The lunch Menu was pricey but you were not hungry after, as portions were large.
La Coast Restaurant is our favorite restaurant along the Northumberland straight. Service is top notch, and this is NOT pub grub, your meal is prepared by an awesome chef using local ingredients, you will not be disappointed!
Beer was ice cold, and both servers were super friendly, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars. I expected alot more from the fancy looking setup, and the over priced menu items. I ordered the "fish and chips" which consisted of one single...filet of panko crusted, undercooked fish(not REAL fish batter), and a lobster poutine on the side which was cold: standard, mediocre pub food, in a high end restaurant. Needless to say, I was not impressed, and the only reason I never asked for a refund, was because the staff were super friendly.More
