Stopped in for lunch a little before noon on a recent Saturday and place was empty. Not a good sign I thought but we were told the food was great and ordered anyway. I had the Yellowbelly Burger, a beautifully cooked piece of meat topped with caramelized onions and blue cheese. Delicious. The staff was friendly and casual. The decor... More

Fine to grab dinner here, local brewed beer was fine and so was wood oven pizza. (Fig and prosciutto pizza really tasty by the way.) Staff pleasant, everything was reasonable as pub fare goes, on the other hand, nothing outstanding. If you come here for a beer or a bite, you won't regret the choice, on the other hand, it... More

We visited on a Saturday evening and the place was full of people - it's like a pub but with that microbrewery vibe. A fairly young crowd. I had a sample of 4 ales, all very nice but the St. John's stout was easily the best. The burger and chips was hearty, if not slightly on the unseasoned side -... More

It's really just an average pub food place. They have quite a beer selection. I didn't try the pizza, but see the wood fire pizza oven. The food is not bad, but definitely doesn't worth the price. The calamari doesn't have any flavour, just bland. Without telling me the extra charge, the server asked me if I want mayo on... More

We stop here sometimes if we're in the area and just wanna sit down to have a nice drink outside. The food is pretty good, not super amazing or anything, but we like to split a fish & chips once in awhile. Service is good too, they always help us out if we need extra chairs or anything if we... Come here for the beer and atmosphere. Food is good, but second to beer and atmosphere. Brewmaster Liam is great and is often in the bar. Also host a challenging trivia one night a week.

Second visit during a weekend in St John's for a meal after enjoying some live music the night before. We were a large group of 19 persons, and the servers managed the group real well. The people on my side of the table all enjoyed the meal. The Yellowbelly brews complimented the food. Had the Yellowbelly burger with huge onion... More

We love the food, drinks, people, and atmosphere downstairs. Yellowbelly is our go-to date spot, the underbelly is perfect for good drinks and intimate conversation. We have a hard time convincing ourselves to go anywhere else!
