Friendly service (Haley offered great suggestions and was familiar with the menu, as well as very chipper), nice selection of beer, really enjoyed the wood fired pizza. Clean, comfortable restaurant. One of our best meals in St John's.

We are in town For a wedding and booked a dinner for 20+. The full experience was absolutely amazing, the drinks, the food and the service were all A+. The Manager was super friendly, telling jokes and taking pictures and the staff were feeding off...of his personality. At the end of the night he recommended we go to a local bar called O’RILEYS, we had a blast from start to finish. Highly recommend.More

We had supper here with a large group, everybody said their food was excellent. Beers are a plenty, and all brewed in house. I had the pizza, it was awesome.

A glitch on their end left us sitting for a long time while they located our on line order for pick up. Half a dozen staff were crowded around the end of the bar near where we waited for our order. They didn't have much...to do as there were few people in the restaurant. But no one was asking us if we wanted anything or offering any apology or explanation. We had to keep asking what was happening. No one seemed to know anything. 'Mind, they were nice when asked it was just that no one knew who was working on the problem or what was happening. 'Ready in 3 or 4 minutes' became 15 then 20 and on. We decided to have a taste of the Wheat beer while waiting. It was good enough that we too two bottles home. One staff member kept taking her mask off saying it was too hot. Its pretty close quarters inside. Hard to distance. I'd advise sitting outdoors while the weather is good. The table we got sat at to wait hadn't been cleaned. When finally someone showed up who seemed to know how to fix the problem they were having with the online system, our order finally went in so it was another long wait each time 'ready in 3 or 4 minutes'. We got the food home and even the two who have eaten there several times agreed the cod was not fresh, the oil tasted burnt, not fresh. The two of us who had never eaten there found the panko overwhelms the fish tho we realize that is a personal preference.. Most of the meal went in the bin for all of us. The taste of the fish was off putting to the couple who have ordered there before. The chips are really good. With all the great fish places in the area, we wouldn't go back except for a beer. And its pricey. Fish for four was $84.More

We sat on the patio as the inside dining area was full. The cod fish and chips were excellent and there was a wide selection of their own draft beer

We made reservations to get a table for 2 on a Monday night (they're super packed even on a weeknight)! Hubby ordered fish and chips while I had steamed mussels and they're the best ones we had in our NL trip! We also had their...local beer and iceberg cider and they're just ok. Highly recommended this place when around downtown St. John's!More

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FOR YOUR FLIGHT! I visited on Aug 8, had about an hour before my flight. I ordered a turkey club to go while I sipped on a beer. There were about 7 patrons in total in...the restaurant and 4 staff out front. After 15 mins I asked about the sandwich, the guy who served me said it's coming right up sir! I waited almost an hour, had to ask 5 times where is the sandwich. He kept sayin "it's coming right up". With my flight now about to leave in 10 minutes, I finally received the sandwich and dashed off to the departure gate. As I stood in line, I opened up the box containing the sandwich. WOW!! It was gross...ice cold, slapped together with an ice cold, grey blob of turkey meat that was at least several days old, bacon came straight out of the fridge with hardened grease on it. I payed $18.99. Wow! I threw it straight in the garbage and went without. After waiting for 55 minutes for something that takes about 5 minutes to make, it was the worst case scenario I've ever seen at any restaurant. It's the only food service restaurant at St. John's Airport and they "got you" here as seems they purposely delay you so that you have no time left to do anything about it. Shameful!!!More

Murray Premises is a unique hotel with a lot of character. Yellowbelly is only a 4 min walk from the hotel and all the great hot spots.
