Every time we are in St John’s, Newfoundland we have to visit LePiatto for the best pizza and Caesar Salad. Excellent wood oven cooked pizza. Lunch special $17.00 pizza and salad. Good wine list. Great service.

Wilted salad, wrong pizza, very noisy atmosphere. The pizza was not what we ordered. One star or less. Would not return.
This restaurant has nice character and service. However, the food does not have a lot of character, it tends to be a bit bland. We had garlic foccacia as a group starter. It was not what you think when you think "foccacia". They said it...was their take on it, but I think their take might have missed the mark. It was like pizza crust. The spaghetti and carbonara was a similar miss. The cook needs to revisit how to make some Italian dishes. The cute thing they did was give our young son a ball of dough to make into a pizza shape. They then put sauce on it and baked it for him. It kept him occupied for quite a while.More
We went here based on reviews and were not disappointed. It’s definitely a busy place but the manager kept things hopping and was super pleasant to the Skip/Door Dash guy which was classy. We were served by Mustafa who was lovely and looked after our...table well. Between us we had several types of pizza and one calzone… all were delicious! Generous portions and came out pretty quickly. Overall a great meal/experience.More
I’ve eaten here numerous times in the past but after a number of poor experiences I stayed away for years. Decided to dine in recently and give it another try. Had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated which wasn’t an issue because we...hadn’t made a reservation. Really nice staff, clean place, light and airy. We both ordered pizza and both were done perfectly. We washed it down with Italian beers and red wine, very good. Nice to see Piatto is back to delivering top notch fare and reasonable prices. We’ll return for sure.More
Went there for dinner two evenings in a row. Very nice pizza! The tiramisù was also good and made with savoiardi, as it should be.
If you’re a wood fired pizza lover then this is your place. The best I’ve ever had. It’s a cute little place that has great ambience and great staff.
Finding authentic pizza in St. John's is hard, but Piatto does it perfectly. As a European, I can say that the menu options are aligned with what you would find in Italy. Fresh tomato sauce and lots of variety made for a delicious experience!
On of the best pizzas I have ever had. Restaurant has a great vibe in an old building. Has been on You Gotta Eat Here (TV show). Great service. Right in downtown St. John’s near the harbour. This is the place!
I ate there 2 times in 2 weeks. The first time I sat at the bar and watched in awe at the girl making and cooking the pizzas in the wood fired oven never stopped the entire time I was there. What a pro. The...pizzas I had both times were quite flavourful and just the right size. Not heavy like some places. The wait staff was courteous and friendly. Lots of beer and wine to choose from. Relatively inexpensive in the downtown St. John's restaurant scene. I recommend but make a reservation on Thurs to Sunday or you may not get a table.More
Piatto's on Elizabeth in centrally located to members of the Polish Husbands Club. An excellent Neapolitan alternative to other excellent pizza joints in the city. Za with white sauce is my own favorite, done as a calzone to order. Italian draft beer, plus a rotating...tap. Atmosphere excellent, service always great: they've let us close down the place, overtime, often. Highly recommended as authentic Italian cuisine.More
We did not have reservations and they squeezed us in. Food was amazing and so was the service. Best dessert so far on the rock. Value for money was also very high. Thanks for a wonderful first nite on the rock
The atmosphere is very cool. Wood floor, high ceiling and large murals. Cool lighting. I was greeted as I entered in a friendly, genuine way. The service was great with attention to detail. Friendly conversation. The food was great. I was able to customize my...pizza and was encouraged to do so. Chocolate mousse was for dessert with espresso top notch.More
BEST AUTHENTIC PIZZA ANYWHERE! 3 of us in St J's for 2 nights, desperate for change from hotel fare, chose Piatto. What a damned good choice, with easy walk to a vibrant venue with friendly staff, fun decor and BEST pizzas we have had worldwide....Am serious.More
We made the mistake of ordering pasta here. It was a very fat noodle that was very starchy. Both my wife and I had servings of pasta with a large clump of noodles stuck together at the bottom of the bowl. This Resturant is very...popular with the locals and is known for their wood fired pizza. The Restaurant was packed last night and most (all) were enjoying the pizza. The service was outstanding in the upstairs part of the dinning room. I would recommend but next time will be pizzaMore
