We went out as a group from work and had a wonderful night. The service was excellent and all the food was top notch. Of particular note was the pork shank. The person who had that meal thought it was superb. It certainly looked impressive, and was huge. The scallops were excellent and the desserts were all wonderful.

We had the muscles, burger and nachos. Muscles were plentiful and fresh from the sea. Burger was average. Nachos were the best part and came with layers upon layers of toppings. Candidate for best nachos in the city for sure. Shout out to our server Chad for being great and tentative. Easy to talk to. Definitely not the last time... More

The Tenderloin and Creme Brulee was absolutely amazing! We normally only come here during summer but we're pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. Our server, Chad, was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Awesome time! Highly recommend!

My boss and I have beeen travelling to Newfoundland for about a year now for business. Each trip we find a new restaurant to try out in the St. John's area. Last night we gave the Gypsy tea room a go and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was relaxed, quiet and warm. Our server Sid was friendly, knowledgable and... More

We have dined here three times, twice in the dining room and once in the lounge. The meals far exceed the menu description. Beautifully presented meals. The salmon, duck and lamb platters are amazing! Excellent appetizers, desserts and cocktails. In the summer, the windows in the lounge open onto the street affording the feel of dining on a balcony. The... More

This place is located downtown in the historic Murray premises. The food and service is great. I loved the blackened salmon and my husband loved the cod. Prices are good for a nice place to eat. Gorgeous outside in the summer.

We have been here for events, lunch and dinner. Never disappoints and the calamari is awesome. Each time I have eaten downstairs as the main level is a bar atmosphere. Not that that is bad, I was out for a meal not the bar, although I hear that the bar menu is quite good as well.
