After a hike up a hill what a wonderful find. A small cafe with snacks and sandwiches and CHOCOLATE. Many different flavors in cute packaging of chocolate to take home are also available. Service was attentive and prices a bit high.
Very Nice selection of souvenir chocolates, a bit pricey though. Good coffee and friendly fast service.
Cute cafe at the base of signal hill. The dark roast is delicious and reasonably priced. Family ordered the big 20$ dessert but worth it for a family sharing it had so many bits in it! Since I last visited it also seems to be...expanded. A welcome addition to the hill and perfect stop!More
This little cafe on the way to Signal Hill is a hidden gem. The coffee is delicious as is the chocolate which comes in so many different varieties ! We returned the next day to try their carrot/ginger soup and scone which was so delicious...!!!! .....I could have returned again the next day ! Also had a lovely milk chocolate rose tied with a pink ribbon that my husband got me for our anniversary. Loved this place.More
Due to COVID, their chocolate products are limited. I would recommend their gelato, as it was delicious! I saw pictures of products they usually carry, and they looked fantastic. I'm glad I was able to enjoy this visit, as I can only imagine the hordes...of people that usually visit this place which means you won't have the availability to enjoy the chocolate.More
What a wonderful idea to open the new cafe on Torbay Road. Easy to get to and lots of free parking. The sandwiches and desserts are fabulous. Best hot chocolate ever. Made with real chocolate and not that powdered stuff. Then all their chocolates to...choose from and the gelato is fantastic. They change flavours frequently and to the season. Love the staff. So friendly and helpful.More
It is located in the same building as the visitor centre. There is adequate seating inside and out but the service area can become crowded as it is small. The service is very efficient and the food was freshly prepared and well presented. There are...great views and you can watch the eagles soaring over signal hill, well worth stop.More
First went to the Signal Hill location as needed something warm to drink after being very cold and wet. Loved their hot chocolates. Then went to their Duckworth location as we craved it when we saw it again.
Take a break on the climb to the top of Signal Hill & get a hot chocolate at Newfoundland’s best chocolate cafe. There are so many flavours to add it’s difficult to decide but they are all super delicious. They also sell chocolate bars which...have been a real treat as gifts back home, the wrappers depicting the colourful homes of the city. The cafe offers free a WiFi to customers & nformation on local walks & history can be found too. Toilet facilities are super clean. The outdoor space has an incredible view back over the Harbour & colourful chairs to sit & take in the views.More
The coffee was good, sandwiches average (nice crispy potato chips tho'). Service was a bit haphazard, and the set up doesn't help with people waiting to order, people waiting for their orders and people trying to come in and out, all in the same small...space.More
We visited this quaint little café last week and thoroughly enjoyed a serving of what has to be the best chocolate gelato I have ever tasted. A blending of chocolate flavors with chocolate bits included combined to produce a taste that is unrivalled. We'll be...back!More
We went on a cloudy day after a hike for a cup of their hot chocolates. We tried a cup of the milk chocolate with sea salt and one of the dark chocolate. I preferred the dark chocolate one. I was disappointed that although it...was almost noon, the lunch options shown on their online menu were not all available. We tried a couple of their chocolate bars on the ferry coming over from Nova Scotia but thought that their hot chocolates were better options.More
Only place to grab something to eat on Signal Hill. Had gelato but rather pricey. Beside the National Park display.
On a cool day with some fog and cool air the hot chocolate was perfect. Tasty delicious and made for me the way I wanted. Wow is all I can say... I’ve never had hot chocolate like this before.
