Nice ambiance very sharp and friendly service

We stopped by here because when it says its a library pub and wine bar you should. The service was excellent and the two appetizer's of burger balls and date wrapped bacon were good. My wife said the Greek salad was pretty average. Some dishes were not available due to supply and high fresh quality standards. This is what a decent kitchen should do and not compromise on quality. Just my opinion. I would rather not have it than be served some crappy dish.

Well worth a visit.

A cozy little pub on Main Street in Wolfville, N.S. When we were there it seemed to be frequented by middle age customers - many who knew one another and obviously frequented the pub on a regular basis. While we only had cocktails we did see nice looking food plates pass by. Service was given with a smile.

My wife and I were checking out Wolfville and stumbled across this neat old bar on the strip. We went upstairs where they had live music on this Saturday early evening...great fun and the food was decent too. Love the vibe and historic charm.

Unfortuntely gone downhill

I went to this pub about 4 years ago and got the burger, it was great. Today we went back again as we were in the area. My husband and I got the tacos. He got pork and I got fish. He didn't enjoy his pork but ate it anyway because he was so hungry and we had waited long enough. My fish tacos was super dry, I took a couple bites but I could not eat it. Even the taco vessel (pita) wasn't fresh. I figured for $17 they must be good; I was wrong. I figured at a pub there would be fries, no fries to be seen on the menu at all... So I ordered my 6 year old the garlic fingers (as that's what she opted for) They were called "Daves dirty fingers"? Under the starter section of the menu, for $16 I assumed they must be some delicious garlic fingers... once again we were very disappointed. It looked like a small pita, spreadable garlic with a small amount of orange cheese. Now for a child, bland food is her forte but if I had received that as an adult (which is what its meant for as there's no kids menu) I would have been sending it back and leaving. AND for $16 ?! Never again lol I didn't pay for my fish tacos as I sent them back but to be honest we should of sent it all back and left. I just felt bad for doing that. My husband went inside to the bathroom as we were sitting outside and he said it was very dirty inside. We just will not be returning to this restaurant as there are many other better options further down the street.

Great atmosphere here at the Library Pub. Servers were enthusiastic, good at their jobs, and incredibly welcoming. The food was taste with a good range depending on your appetite. Drinks were also a great range from non alcoholic options to a wide variety of alcohol. The music upstairs with the open balcony on a summer night was just the thing to kick back and relax after a long haul flight. Can’t wait for my next visit

Stopped in for a lunch on a beautiful sunny day and were seated in the cheerful window seat. Warm greetings and quick service as the place was pretty quiet, in the early afternoon. We both ordered drinks and our meals. I ordered a breaded chicken sandwich and salad, and my partner ordered the pork tacos. My sandwich showed up blazing hot, had been microwaved within an inch of it's life and was presented with less then half of cup of the saddest most disgusting looking salad greens I had ever seen. My partner said that his tacos were ok. Not at all very good, and the pork was completely unseasoned...which is odd for tacos, with a drizzle all over the plate which was barely enough to give it any flavor whatsoever. I guess most maddening is that the menu claims of using locally sourced products and growers is laughable, and it seems like they are simply incorporating buzz words and language that they know diners want to hear, but don't have a clue how to bring that vision to reality. I am so mad that I wasted my money here, and will never order food again. There are so many beautiful, better options in town, and surrounding area. All that being said, the service was absolutely fantastic and the drinks were great. What a disappointment, when with a little more effort, it could be excellent. I am still so mad that someone fu$#@% up a salad.

Sadly this pub/restaurant is not nearly as good as it once was. While the selection of beer remains fairly good, the service is entirely lacking. On a quiet afternoon three of us went there for lunch. Our waiter was efficient in taking our drinks order, and that is where it stopped. He was far more interested in spending his time chatting at the bar with a friend than checking on our order or doing much of anything. After almost half an hour waiting, he decided to check on our order. Then he told us the order had somehow been ‘wiped’ and there was no food being prepared. No effort was made to offer a complimentary beer to wait again for an order to be prepared. We paid for our beer and left to go to another nearby pub/restaurant where the service and food were very good. Definitely our last visit to the Library Pub.

Best Pub in Wolfville

This pub is always one of my favourite, the food is always amazing and atmosphere is always delightful. The last time we were there they were low on staff but our waitress, Lauren, did an incredible job, she was very attentive, friendly, and was somehow managed all of her tables in the same way. We will definitely be back, and we hope to see Lauren there again!

Charming pub. We sat upstairs in the air conditioning. My husband had the burger with blue cheese and loved it. I had the chicken and cranberry sandwich and mushroom soup. The sandwich was a bit dry, but it was still good. The best part was our server, she was very personable and attentive. If we were locals, we would be regular customers.

I preface this by saying that we were wanting to support small business because of covid restrictions.... We had a nice meal at this pub, but I had a new linen dress on and when we went to leave I had bleach stains on the back of my new dress. The owner said sorry and then very dismissively went back to what she was doing. She offered no compensation what so ever. When I started warning the other patrons she, all of a sudden, cared what I thought. She told me she is using a bleach solution to disinfect the seats and we were at a booth by the front window. the vinyl had several cracks in it and my dress absorbed all the trapped bleach. I sent her an invoice to pay for the dress but have not received any compensation as of yet. I now ask everyone wherever we go to see what they have in their spray bottles. Be careful everyone....

Great food, drink, and atmosphere.

I love libraries and pubs, so this was my kind of place! They have a few rooms, including a downstairs bar. I sat in the room with the beautiful furniture, dark paneling, crystal chandelier, oil paintings, tinned ceiling, fireplace, and books and got a glass of the Grand Pre Tidal Bay white wine (a winery I later visited) and an appetizer of bacon-wrapped Digby scallops. It was all great.

Excellent food and service

We had a wonderful late lunch. The pub decor is beautiful. The music set a wonderful atmosphere and the food was excellent. We had burgers- one with Caesar salad and one with cabbage and feta salad. Flavours were outstanding. Tried some local beer which just made the meal even better. The server was great , so attentive and pleasant. We will definitely go back

I have email this restaurant numerous times and also called and left messages to find out if I need a reservation. They have yet to get back to me. It has been weeks!! They have lost my business and I will not be recommending them. In fact I will warn people to stay away. Don't say on your answering machine to leave a message and you will get back to me and then never get back to me! Such a simple task !

I was introduced to this Pub way back to early 2000’s with some good friends. We all liked to explore new food and drinks. My first time trying Pesto Chicken Pizza and Flurtinis.Havent gone back in awhile but my husband and I and friends love to explore new and old eating establishments. Hope it hasn’t changed too much!
