After hearing our daughter rave about about this place for four years, we finally got to see and taste why this tiny place is so popular! On daughter’s insisting I had ‘the Beast’ and an iced coffee. The owner heard me say it was my...first visit so he came out from the kitchen to say hi and provide a friendly history of the business. Lovely chat. Short wait for our order which was delivered to our table outside. The Beast did not disappoint- oh my, it was sooo good. I now understand why so many students find themselves there on a weekend :) The menu seems huge. Both sweet and savoury options galore. This place is a yearly stop for me as a former X grad who ate here weekly while I attended school. The waffles are always delicious. The service was terrible today. There was two other customers waiting on their order when I arrived. After 30...minutes of waiting, I popped my head out from the dining area and the lady asked if I was waiting for something. I told her my order and she piped up and said it was ready. It was packed sitting on top of the oven. Frustrating to wait that long and no one thought to call our name when it was ready. The waffles were very tasty but it was difficult to use the utensils. I do understand and appreciate that the owners are trying to be environmentally friend but may want to explore other options for utensils.

I am usually not a waffle fan, but I had an amamzing breakfast waffle sandwhich at this quaint little restaurant downtown Antigonish. Nothing fancy, but definitely satisfying!

We asked our daughter what she would like to do in Antigonish. She said we had to have breakfast at the Waffle Bus. She said it was a tiny space but that the waffle choices were fabulous. I absolutely love the Waffle Bus Stop. I've had their blueberrry waffles, which IMHO are to die for, and ham and cheese, vegetarian, and something that involved bacon that was unspeakably delish! Sweet or savoury, they're the best waffles I've ever tasted. It's also a...great pleasure to do business with such friendly and efficient staff, and, as a bonus, their washroom is actually clean! I visited the waffle bus stop randomly. It is a tiny store but does have 4-5 small tables/chairs to eat at in a room off to where you order. The place is bright, welcoming and friendly. Everyone had a smile. Things were made after you...order so you know it’s fresh. Taste was amazing (had the ham and cheese sandwich). They also had smoothies, very good. All of their wraps/straws etc are recyclable or can go in the composite - amazing!! Highly recommend try this place!More
We're Belgians and we loved it. Although we only tasted the plain Liège waffle (twice), we loved the waffles, the concept and the wonderful people.
This was our lunch stop on the way to Cape Breton Island. We had dogs with us so luckily we could sit on the balcony. They have a great selection of both sweet and savory waffle sandwiches in perfect size and price, not to small...and not too big. We all enjoyed our sandwich very much and we highly recommend coming here if you're around ! the BEAST was my favorite :)More
We (Mom, Dad, 2 teenagers) went here after reading some reviews & wanting something that was not fast food. We were a bit skeptical about the outside appearance but the staff was very friendly & the place looked clean inside (very tiny inside - better...to eat outside or take away). The waffle sandwiches were completely delicious - 3 of us had the steak & cheese, 1 had the grilled cheese. Everyone was happy. The sandwiches were a good size, we all felt satisfied. Definitely recommend this place. I can see becoming addicted to these sandwiches.More
