The waiter Adam was very rude! He told me the tip was not good enough! I have eaten in many places and not once did the waiter/waitress say the tip wasn’t good enough! I always got a thank you! Since when did a waiter dictate...how much you should give them!More

Very good food. Right next door to our accommodation. Excellent service. Not accessible- stairs at the front door, and washrooms in basement down a long flight.

Wow what a gem this place is. Very cosy and beautifully decorated. Staff are super friendly and service spot on! Fast and efficient. Food is to die for. I had the butter chicken and that should win an award. Best ever. Hubby had bbq ribs...and they were tasty and tender. Decently priced as well. I can’t wait to go back some day. Was one of our highlights on our Celtic Colours vacay!More

This is a really attractive pub/restaurant. I'm originally English from Irish parents and my wife is a Caper. We went here for lunch just a few days before Fiona (I hope everyone is good). We went upstairs and I really like the decor. It feels...like a proper pub like you would find in small town Ireland or northern England. I was excited to give the seafood a go and I ordered crab cakes with the chorizo sausage mussels. The crab cakes were decent but a bit over cooked. I didn't enjoy the mussels at all. They were a lot smaller in actual size, not the portion the mussels themselves than I've ever had before and the sauce was a mistake. I should have stuck with something more traditional. The service was great, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the local IPA was excellent. Great vibe but I'm not sure the food is above 3 stars. Pity, I had read really good reviews on the food, maybe it was just an off day? I will give it another go next time I'm in Sydney.More

We were in Sydney from a Royal Caribbean cruise. We wanted to eat somewhere local and experience the town. We chose this place and glad we did. It was an easy walk from the cruise port. The food was great. There was live music while...we were there. Enjoyed it very much.More

Great pub atmosphere with great service, lobster rolls, local craft beers, and our waitress was very attentive, despite being very busy.

We were in Sydney for one day as a cruise stop and happened to stop in here for a lunch and glad we did! My wife had the lobster roll and she thought it was fantastic. I had the chorizo tacos and I was very...happy with my choice - they were great! We washed them down with one of the many available, tasty, local beers. Service was excellent (Rachael), too. Would certainly go back.More

Loved this place! Lovely views. No live music tonight though. The staff are very friendly and efficient. It’s cozy. The wine list was good enough and reasonable. The food was great! So….I would highly recommend if u are looking for a reasonably priced and friendly...atmosphere place to eat some good food!More

Service, food, and atmosphere was amazing. We were lucky to get a table on the upstairs patio where the view of the water was nice.

Three of us had dinner here recently. The food is mediocre at best. Quite pricey for the quality. Only one of us lives locally and he stated that he only ever gets appetizers as the rest of the menu is highly overpriced for the ordinary...lower quality dishes. We all agree with that comment! We, the two visitors, will not return. There are definitely better local restaurants.More

We were there for lunch on a day when a cruise ship was in port. The Pub was very crowded and the service a little slow. However, the wait staff was obviously working very hard to serve everyone as quickly as possible, and they did...it with a great attitude. We enjoyed the Chowder, Crab Cakes and Calamari. All the food was very good and tasty. Governor's also offers a good selection of draft beers. The plentiful outside seating under several shade trees offers nice views of the harbour. Give this Pub a try - you will be glad you did.More
