Waiter was trying to serve too many tables. He provided really bad service. We asked what beers he had. He just asked "what do you want?" He made no mention of specials. Our starter arrived cold after 20 mins (so we sent it back). When...More

Fish and chips were good. Service was friendly. Good atmosphere. Much of large menu was prepared frozen.

Stopped in for lunch and found a great menu with lots of choices, both local and comfort foods. Staff was extremely attentive to our needs, delivered the food in a timely manner and offered numerous suggestions based on our questions.

We arrived at 11 am and were the first people in the restaurant for lunch. Service was great and the location and interior were great. The haddock was excellent, served with a twice-baked potato. We also had the blackened salmon, which they served on a...More

I used to remember years ago going to Governors excited to have a fine dining experience. But now they seem to be growing too big for their kitchen to keep up with service. Quality has been lost although prices remain at the fine dining level,...More

Meal and service was exceptional. Very reasonable wait time with awesome staff service. Just a pleasure to sit there and enjoy your surroundings. This reason is enough to visit.

When we went to the Governor's Pub and Eatery, it was our second attempt. The first night we went, it was obvious that they were REALLY busy, and we would have had to wait way too long. On our second attempt, we were able... More

Hello. I called Governors for you. Oysters are a regular menu item. They are served raw with sea salt, pepper and lemon and cost $2.00 each. I have never had them (and never will, lol) so I can't review them for you... More
