We expected much better seafood considering where this place is but found it be just average. It's in Digby and my scallops were somewhat rubbery and very small.

If you like fresh seafood and pine furniture then this place(plaice) is for you, it's like being in Scandinavia only a heck of a lot cheaper. Cosy with booths and tables, licensed, and a large menu, friendly staff and owners. Platters were very generous and overall very good value.

Stopped in for lunch while sight seeing in Digby. Had the daily special hot beef sandwich and the soup of the day vegetable soup. Good food at a decent price. Nice little restaurant with friendly staff.

Loved the food had clams n chips great place to eat and feel right at home. Lovely staff as well. Right on the main street close to the waterfront so can take a walk and see all the boats and marina.

Digby, the land of some of the best seafood in the world! Don't be fooled at the Captain's Cabin. The seafood chowder has lots of potato which is okay for we all know that is a filler but when you find processed fish (you know the seafood salad mix from the supermarket, red in color) in the chowder that is... We go there a few times in the summer, the food is good, although we find it a bit expensive for the amount of food.

We were brought here by a friend who lives in Digby. all four guests ordered the scallops and fries. The scallops were perfectly breaded and cooked, and were bite sized. Just right! Good service. Good price.

Gimme a break. A scallop is a scallop, right? Oops, not so. Turns out that there's a Digby scallop, a species harvested from the Digby Beds in the Bay of Fundy, and the rubbery kind, from China, artificially bloated to increase their weight, and sitting sloshed in their juice, at your local fish market. Just back from whale watching in... More
