We were a party of 7 for lunch. Our server was awesome. He went across the street and got us coffee. Very nice and attentive. Food was excellent.

Great atmosphere! Excellent Waiter! The food was superb! Highly recommend the Jalapeño Popper Mac and the the Zaatar Fries!!
Loved the local beer selection and there was choice for all tastes (the American pale ale and the stout were excellent). Food was good, prices very reasonable and the service very friendly.
We recently visited Charlottetown and while standing outside this spot we ran into the owner Mike and he was super helpful telling about his spot but also other local restaurants he highly recommended, also discovered he was originally from our neck of the woods in...ON. We decided to check out his spot first and Mike sent over a flight of beer tasters to the table, on the house (a very thoughtful and nice touch). The menu was really interesting and it changes every two week so you may never get the same thing twice. Our choices were all super tasty, nicely presented and great value for the cost. So refreshing to see a spot that is not serving the ho hum nachos, spinach dip and all the other regular bar food. All in all this was a real gem of a spot and only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was if there is anyone in the group who would prefer wine over beer you would be out of luck, but other than that it is top notch Charlottetown go to spot!More
Good vibes! Live music and very good burger! Beers very very good, perfect service and atmosphere for a perfect night. We will come again!
The food is very good. The menu changes frequently with many vegetarian and vegan options. This was our first visit after Covid-19 changes. The tables are well spaced, they have new stools which are much more comfortable than the old ones. Unfortunately the wait staff...were not wearing masks which made me uncomfortable, I probably won’t be back until the pandemic is over.More
Dropped in for our first post Covid lunch. All government protocols inplace and the food was fab. My burrito was flavorful my friends equally as good. Going back for sure for a dinner experience.
Tried to send a private message to Hopyard instead of posting on social, but there is no contact information on their website. The Shwarma Hot Pocket did not have anything in it except a little rice with savoury spice and no sauce (I had to...use the leftover banana pepper mixture and quinoa mixture from my husband’s ribs and wings to turn it into something edible). Our server offered me a cider with hops in it after I told her I was allergic to hops (thankfully I knew better) and she did not check in on us to see how the meal was going. Awful acoustics made the vinyl pointless. The only redeeming quality about Hopyard is their French fries and sweet potato fries - both are excellent - and both you can get just about anywhere else that does homemade fries. Hop away to spend your money elsewhere instead!More
I came for the beer and decided to get dinner as well. Both were average. They have a selection of local craft beers and focus on the less hoppy variety. They play vinyl records but there seemed to be a lot of distortion which seems...odd when they emphasize the music. They were out of some of the menu items so I went with the Asian beef noodles. They were flavorful but had only 2 small strips of beef, again just an average meal.More
I really, really, really don’t get all the wonderful reviews of this place. Maybe they had too many flights of beer before trying the food? We went for dinner. All the tables are high tops with either an uncomfortable stool or a straight back booth...seat. The beer we ordered wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best beer I’ve ever had either. We ordered the artichoke bruschetta—artichoke dip with pita triangles and the Cluck Burger—a deep fried chicken breast. First, it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive when the restaurant wasn’t all that busy. It would have been nice to start with the artichoke dip and nosh on that while waiting for the burger. But no matter. The dip should have been hot and bubbly when it arrived, but instead, tasted like it had been sitting around for 25 of the 30 minutes we waited. It was tepid and the cheese on top congealed. And it was way too garlicky for me. The chicken was so tough I had a hard time even tearing off a bite. The best part of the meal was the French fries. The service was not good. Our server never checked back to see if we wanted another beer or to explain why the food was taking so long. Take a pass on this one.More
Wide beer selection with an even more interesting food menu. Plus they played NFL Network which doesn't hurt.
First of all, the acoustics in this place suck, so don't go for the "play vinyl gimmick". I ordered the calamari, it was dreadful, overbreaded and greasy. I told the waitress and then the manager came over and explained that it wasn't there fault because..."that's how the calamari comes, we don't bread ourselves and that maybe I was used to a different kind of calamari!?!" What a joke. They still took it off my bill but the fact that they had such a lame excuse for their frozen "featured" dish looses any chance of getting my respect. Good thing there's lots of idiots would just love craft beer!More
I’ve never been to a restaurant where they change their menu every two weeks and the prices are so reasonable at $9 a plate so I thought I would try it out. Well it did not disappoint! I’ve tried about 6 dishes now on 2...separate occasions including 1 dessert and they were all amazing. I look at the website every time the menu changes just to check it out. I will 100% be back!More
I felt like having interesting beer and expected to get that from HopYard, knowing they have 10 different craft beers on tap. Besides the great beer, we ordered supper and the food was much better than I expected. I had expected pub food and that's...not at all what they serve. The menu changes every two weeks and this week it had an Indian flavour. Both of our meals were delicious. We go to Halifax regularly and we will absolutely be back. Overall great atmosphere, nice staff, friendly, we had fun (and we were the oldest people there...it's not hard to tell when your 70 and everyone else is 50 or younger). Loved it.More
There are records that you can peruse and then hand over to the bartender to play! J. Geils Band Freeze Frame album; The Knack; Elvis... so many choices. There were 10 beer on tap and a flight of 4 available. But truly, the food was...excellent. We ordered the Veggie Momos -- super spice combo and flavorful dumplings. Also the Butter Chicken Nachos - amazing! Smooth, tasty chutney sauce and the wontons as nachos were a great change from tortillas... wish there were more wontons per serving. Prices were great. Menu rotates every 2 weeks, so we will be back again soon to sample the new creations. This is a creative, positive spot, complete with cool music options and well thought out food combos. Don't miss this one!More
