Very good service from Khalil, a lot of wines to taste and he is a good guide Very nice atmosphere, the only problem: it is so far away from Germany

Great wines, the food was good but in my opinion, a bit overpriced for what you receive. Overall a good experience and the service was friendly
Amazing wine. Great service. The waitress had a vast knowledge about everything on the menu. Cosy atmosphere. A must for every wine lover.
I booked a reservation hours in advance just to get told I could only sit outside on the patio when I arrived. It was a colder night and my friend and I were fairly uncomfortable the entire time. The host told me that it was...because one of the employees accidentally made a note of our request to sit on the patio, but we were met with no apologies whatsoever. The food and wine were great but we were disappointed given that we did call ahead for a table inside.More
Hi Alicia, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were somehow able to book a reservation when we were full. We have since looked into this issue and addressed it. We can also understand how you might not have wanted the two...More
Food was fantastic but choice was limited and price was high given portions. They serve small plates but only have 4 options other than two tiny cheese/charcuterie flights. The scallop ceviche and tuna tataki were outstanding, albeit a bit small.More
Thanks for this feedback as we gradually expand our food program at Obladee! It is great to know that what you had was delicious, but that you wanted more! Next time we hope to have more selection for you. (As a side note: the full...More
My husband and I had a great time at this wine bar. We had a charcuterie platter and a chocolate platter along with a wine tasting flight. Heaven! We visited pre-covid, but the website won't let us choose a date pre-June 202 (?)
A great time at Obladee. The bar, a small but welcoming venue, hosted a group of about 16 commencing around 5 pm on a Saturday. At the start time of the event there weren't many patrons at the bar. The hostess, junior sommelier Erin, was...exceptional. Great enthusiasm and energy, very knowledgeable and professional. It was clear to see she loved her job. Conditions got a little more difficult as more people came into the bar and the noise increased but Erin and the whole staff adapted well to deliver a memorable event. Had a lot of fun at Obladee. Great vibe, great staff, great wine. Highly recommended.More
The relaxed atmosphere at Obladee is always welcomed when out for a glass of wine. The chocolate board is fantastic as well! Cheers!
Enjoyed the wine and local charcuterie plate. Found the seating disappointing - too uncomfortable to relax and actually enjoy the drink and food. Other restaurants offer nice wine and more relaxing seating for a nice date night.
We were there on a Tuesday and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. We had a couple of nice pours of local wine (our choice). Both a good standard. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Definitely go again.
A great place for a glass of wine late night. They have a fantastic selection of all types of wine. You can do flights as will as lots by the glass.
Went here for just over an hour for a drink with a friend. Our server was also the sommelier at the bar. Erin was lovely. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Their menu looked quite good as well, but we had already eaten. Next time I’m in...Halifax I’ll definitely come back.More
Thanks for this great review, Matthew ! Yes, Erin is great ! So happy you enjoyed your visit - Heather
I did not eat here when I came. My friends and I stopped in on a cold rainy night for some wine. I had a red wine flight and the waitress was super helpful with picking out the wines I would like. Very knowledgeable! Looking...for a cozy place to have some wine? Obladee is it.More
Conveniently located at Barrington & Sackville. A short stumble down the hill from Neptune, whose bar is closed after Intermission. Friendly staff. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Muted music. More wines than you can safely drink, then drive.
Great location on a corner of Barrington Street which made it open and airy. My wife & I were there in the late afternoon so it wasn't busy. We sat at the bar where we received great service. In addition to enjoying a great, local...white wine we had a charcuterie plate accompanied by roasted nuts. We had come here after seeing good reviews. I suspect this is more of a locals hangout although given how casual and quiet it was, it should be on more tourist lists if you are looking to decompress from your daily excursions around town. I can't attest to dinner since we left after our appetizers. It does appear that this would be a great place to meet friends for a pleasant conversation while watching the street scene stream by.More
