Had a really great burger there. The service style might seem a bit odd but you place your order at the counter and then pick it up when it's ready as opposed to having a server wait on you

Went for the $6 burger week special. This year they had the "wimpy" for the featured burger. A good size beef patty, with bacon and cheese sauce with russian dressing and pickle. Good burger except for the bun. Way to much bread, almost like an egg dough bread. Good atmoshere, I will return to try other utme on the menu.

Had fries and beer. Kind of weird they have to be ordered and paid for separately (with the booze side being cash-only), but worth the weirdness. Great fries. Stage is really close to the dining area. Hard to imagine a bad seat when they have music.

Atmosphere a little grungy but the burgers are to die for. French fries are fresh cut potatoes. If you are a snob dont go there!

We went to drink and be social. We were not disappointed. Gus' Pub is old and sometimes a little smelly, but serves up a great mix of drinks, music, food (Ace Burger) and attracts a wide age range of patrons. As luck would have it we arrived on a night with punk bands on stage. THEY WERE ALL AWESOME!! They... More

Gus's Pub has a set schedule for entertainment, details of which are available in The Coast newspaper. The only night I'd advise skipping is Mega-Comedy Mondays; this has been a dud every time we've been. The bar staff are friendly and efficient, but you do need to behave yourself, low shenanigans-tolerance is in effect. The clientele is quite eclectic for... More

This pub wasn't the best looking place, but it's proximity to us and posters advertising it's food awards brought us in. The halibut po'boy was one of the best things I ate on our trip and one of the most reasonably priced. The poutine rocked as well. The beer was a bit expensive for craft, but they seem to be... The staff are friendly, the variety of beverages is very good, and the ACE Burgers are Great...This is a cash only pub but they have a cash machine if needed. Not a big place especially considering that they have live entertainment. This place is not flashy but I don't care for that anyways.

The place is a tavern featuring local talent and the most amazing burgers I've ever had. Seriously I almost wish I had never gone because all burgers will pale in comparison! There is no table service. Food and drinks are self-serve and cash only. Some people are being divas about that - honestly I couldn't care less. It keeps the... More

We are rock and rollers and love to see local rock bands in any city we are visiting. Gus' Pub in the north end did not disappoint. We saw some great local hard core bands last night and the venue met the "dirty rock bar" reputation to a tee. We hear if you get there early they have amazing burgers.... More
