Friendly staff , great food from wings to old fashioned maritime boil dinner . Hot wings best in town . Drinks offered at reasonable rates but not a great happy hr . Pedway takes you right to the casino ...

This is a great place to eat. Very friendly staff and awesome tasting food. Ate here during my university years and would recommend it to all. It will add to your experience of visiting Halifax.

We were there on a Friday evening and it was very busy. We did not have to wait too long as folks had three spacesempty at their table and waved us over. The service was fine and waiters pleasant. They were too busy to have time for chatting. The food was okay. I think they were putting things out in... More

There is nothing fancy about decor and menu but the food is delicious with generous portions and the service is efficient and friendly. The place is always packed before the Mooseheads games and I've been trying to go for a while but the line up always discouraged me. I'm glad I decided to go a bit earlier and get in... More

The Midtown is a old school pub that doesn't offer much in the fancy side for fine dining but if you are out to catch the Mooseheads play a game at the Metro Center and just want to have a quick fill up on some pub grub this is the place for you... The staff are a bunch of older... More

You don't go to the Midtown for great food or great beer. You go there for 67 years of history, some of the waiters have been there for more than 20 years.

Met one of the staff members before I visited the Citadel - and she asked me to come for lunch - SUPER friendly staff - family atmosphere - good food - and the staff went out of their way to direct me to more 'must-sees' while in Halifax - including looking up phone numbers and tours for me !!! Went... More

If you have time in Halifax, head to this iconic spot. Located in the downtown core near the Scotia Bank Centre, hotels and waterfront, this is a great pub. Food is basic, but excellent and at reasonable prices. Owners are sons of founder making this a Halifax pub landmark. Not fancy, just good quality for money.
