An unpretentious old-school diner a few blocks from the waterfront. If you're willing to trade a nautical name and decor for a water view, the hearty, well-prepared meals will reward you with better value than the usual tourist traps. The corner location is clean and...well-lit by large windows. Our server was very amiable and efficient. The menu is refreshingly varied, with a Greek touch to some of the offerings.More

The lobster dinner was excellent. Although the prime rib my husband ordered was too rare for his liking, the kitchen gladly took it back and gave him a more well cooked (medium) steak that was very good. The part of our experience that really stood...out was the service. Our server, Thomas, was attentive, provided good recommendations and was happy to make accommodations on the meal and bill for the undercooked beef. We left vey happy and would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Halifax. The rice pudding dessert with the lobster dinner was outstanding.More

We stopped in for breakfast. The ham and eggs special was well priced and tasted delicious. The service was efficient and all the staff were very welcoming. Definitely recommend.

We had seafood chowder and lobster dinners...food was very good but their service was super slow...took more than 30mins for our lobster dinner to arrive and they're not that busy already that night as past 8pm. They also don't take reservations so have do walk...in instead.More

Staff were friendly and nice, the menu had a lot of choices, but the actual food was disappointing. Roast potatoes were mush, vegetables overcooked and bland, scallops not much flavour either. Not terrible but there are a lot of nice options in downtown Halifax. Maybe...their all-day breakfast would be a better choice.More

Visiting in Halifax, decided to go ‘where the locals go’. Although restaurant was busy it didnt appear overly busy. I think the owner or manager sat us as other servers were busy but didnt ask us about drinks or tell us about ‘specials’. Waited at...least 15 minutes before i had to go up to counter to ask for a drink and they apologized, said they forgot about us. Had to ask for an appetizer to hold us over. Other tables around us also waited an extraordinary long time even for ordering drinks. Food finally came after an extremely long wait, but brought one of us the wrong order. Its hard for me to accurately rate the restaurant. Food was very good, hot and good size portions. But customer service requires attention. Only realized they had drink specials as we left!More

This restaurant was terrible. Everything was very salty, to the point of being inedible. The service was fine, but the meal was the worst I’ve had in a very long time. Avoid. There are many good options for a great meal in the area -...this isn’t one of them.More

We were there twice and didn't see any dogs in the restaurant. There is no outside patio and the restaurant is located at the corner of a busy street so I wouldn't suggest leaving the dog outside.
