Stopped in for lunch. We were in the mood for lobster rolls. Thoroughly enjoyed our rolls, served with a side of coleslaw and clam chowder. The lobster rolls were very generously stuffed (most meat of any roll I’ve had in Halifax) and the clam chowder...was fantastic - rich, creamy and full of clams. Our server, Habib, was exceptionally professional, most attentive and very friendly. The restaurant atmosphere was great - casual with lots of wood and big, bright windows. Prices are very reasonable and food quality is excellent.More

A modest place with great food and service. The lobster dinner was great and the lobster was quite large. Very good clam chowder. This would be a must go place if we lived in nova scotia

This restraurant was a great relief for a couple of hungry travelers, who had spent the morning hopping off and on throughout the city. We wee at the art mudeum and it was recommended aboout 2 blocks away. Had very good service, prices seemed reasonable...for the location and the lobster rolls were everything you cold ask for and more. The pile of fries was more than I cold eat, and I usually finish them. That was partially due to the very large portion of lobster on the roll. At a table nearby a couple were each having a whole lobster. Those were very large also. If I am in Halifax again, I will definitley try to go back.More

I visited this restaurant with my 3 kids. The atmosphere was friendly and unpretentious. The menu had a great variety of items, very reasonably priced. I had the lobster dinner and my son had the lobster roll - some of the best we have ever...had.More

Average food, average service, average prices. Sensing a theme? Don't go out of your way for this one. It's not horrible, but really nothing special.

Stopped here for breakfast before our drive to Charlottetown. Prices were moderate but quality of service and food was excellent. We had no wait and staff was friendly. If you have time, make the half day juant to Lunenburg to visit the boat.

Based on ratings here we visited this restaurant in July 2023. There was steady flow of people and we had to wait which we thought meant it was a promising sign. Service was good. Food was ok. Fish and chips were a bit disappointing. Fish...had a very thick batter and one of two pieces seemed dry. Fries were a bit soggy. Clams and chips were similar. The souvlaki came served on garlic bread which was different. Not poor but there are better restaurants.More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local. She said this is where locals go to eat seafood - any place else you’ll get overcharged and all the food is good. She was right! It is not fancy - just a local dinner with...booths and paper mats with ads on the table. But I had the lobster dinner and it was excellent! And it was about half the cost of what I’d pay in the states. It came with the clam chowder which my husband and I both thought was very good. He had the chicken brochette with lemon potatoes (yum) and loved it. If you’re looking for good food, this is it. If you’re looking for fancy, go someplace else.More

The restaurant is a bit dated but the food was very tasty and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the lobster roll with a seafood chowder. The lobster roll was the best I had so far in Halifax. The price was very reasonable. We had...a very attentive server.More

Really loved the old world atmosphere at place in central Halifax. Amazing seafood available and beef stuff if you want. Very friendly staff and great location. Quite affordable too.

We came here on our first night in Halifax and it was okay. It's like a diner. My husband got seafood chowder and a Caesar salad. He has since gotten clam chowder 3 times in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and it just doesn't...have that much flavor but I think it's pretty much the same in places around here. It's not as good as Boston or the east coast chowder. I got scallops that came with plain rice and green beans and carrots, the green beans were really good as were the scallops, but the rice was completely flavorless. We were trying to get a piece of banana cream pie, but they had already sold out. Our waitress was nice.More

Lobster roll had lotsa lettuce and-tiny amount of chopped up lobster. Whole lobster was old as evidenced by thick black tarry slimy goo when the tail was opened. Clam chowder was thick gelatinous and tasteless. I have no idea why they have been in business...so long. Praying on tourists who don’t know any better. Shame!!!!More

Went there with my mom, she recommends this place to everyone but she admits it's been awhile since she last ate here. I started off with the clam chowder which was very tasty but left me wondering where the clams were. I ordered a pop...for 3.95 and it was gone in one gulp there was so much ice in it. We both ordered the seafood platter and were very disappointed in the portion sizes. You get 2 shrimp, 4 scallops, a clump of clams and a very small piece of Haddock. It was all very chewy like it had been microwaved and we both left there sill hungry. We didn't get much for an 80 dollar meal and will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.More

We were there twice and didn't see any dogs in the restaurant. There is no outside patio and the restaurant is located at the corner of a busy street so I wouldn't suggest leaving the dog outside.
