I arrived a little late which might explain the slow service, but waiter was friendly. I chose the special signature lobster, accompanied with a clan chowder. Food is pretty good, but we can regret the cheap service: paper cups for the salad, paper napkins, etc....Price was correct.More

We had the poutine starter and garlic bread sat at a table by the window. Very large and filling portion for a starter, so very good value. Nice poutine but the Montreal poutine has the edge on it. Great local wine and beer and a...very down to earth atmosphere in this old established Halifax restaurant. This is a very popular restaurant that was fully booked on the Sunday of the Victoria Day weekend.More

Excellent food, excellent service and close to Scotiabank Centre and the waterfront. Do yourself a favour and have the potato skins, they're fantastic. We also had the calamari platter and clam chowder and both were excellent. The sangria is light and lovely. We will be...back.More

When I worked downtown, eating at the Bluenose II was a regular event. Well over 30 years later, I was feeling nostalgic and my son and I went there for supper. Still very clean and a nice atmosphere. Our server was very friendly. I neglected...to ask his name but he was a great server. My son enjoyed fish and chips and my clam chowder and spinach salad were well presented and tasty.More

So easy to find, close to all the hotels and the Casino. You really can't miss it, right on the corner of Hollis Street. Lots of windows, very bright inside. Vintage style diner seating, very comfortable. We had the breakfast special, large serving, very good...food. Prices are very reasonable and the service it typical East Coast....family like and all smiles !! Great way to start the day !!More

A family favorite everytime we visit Halifax. Very friendly place with a nice and affordable menu. Breakfasts are great and so are the clam and fish chowders. We'll be back!

We came into Halifax for the Doobie Brothers concert on Friday evening. I made reservations a few days beforehand. My friend and I split a seafood platter and potato skins. It is the first time in my life I was ever served corn and carrots...as a side on a seafood platter. Four scallops, one small haddock tail triangle, 6 clams, and 4 shrimp with a handful of fries for $27.50. The potato skins were so greasy there was literally a puddle of oil in the basket. So disappointed, I have eaten there several times in the past few years and always had good food. Will not be going back.More

Eggs were extremely overcooked and rubbery though I asked over easy, Sausage were gross and the bacon was undercooked and rubbery. Would never go there again for breakfast.

We visited for dinner and had the Atlantic Salmon. The meal was very good, however the portion size was smaller than at other establishments. This wasn't a problem as the price was smaller also and gave us room for dessert.

Stopped in for lunch. We were in the mood for lobster rolls. Thoroughly enjoyed our rolls, served with a side of coleslaw and clam chowder. The lobster rolls were very generously stuffed (most meat of any roll I’ve had in Halifax) and the clam chowder...was fantastic - rich, creamy and full of clams. Our server, Habib, was exceptionally professional, most attentive and very friendly. The restaurant atmosphere was great - casual with lots of wood and big, bright windows. Prices are very reasonable and food quality is excellent.More

A modest place with great food and service. The lobster dinner was great and the lobster was quite large. Very good clam chowder. This would be a must go place if we lived in nova scotia

This restraurant was a great relief for a couple of hungry travelers, who had spent the morning hopping off and on throughout the city. We wee at the art mudeum and it was recommended aboout 2 blocks away. Had very good service, prices seemed reasonable...for the location and the lobster rolls were everything you cold ask for and more. The pile of fries was more than I cold eat, and I usually finish them. That was partially due to the very large portion of lobster on the roll. At a table nearby a couple were each having a whole lobster. Those were very large also. If I am in Halifax again, I will definitley try to go back.More

We were there twice and didn't see any dogs in the restaurant. There is no outside patio and the restaurant is located at the corner of a busy street so I wouldn't suggest leaving the dog outside.
