My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for years and it has always been good, yes the odd time we may not have the very best meal or the very best waitress but it is rare that this happens. As a matter of fact the consistently good food and value is why we continue to go back... More

Visiting Swiss Chalet is always good. The service at the one on Lacewood is over the top. Dinner was great and our server was excellent. When visiting a new city, it's great to find a familiar restaurant.

Great chicken and ribs and sides! What's not to like? I find Swiss Chalet fries to be my favorite of anywhere.

I tried the new roast beef meal and it was very good. My guest had a chicken meal which was also very good.

We were there for my sister's birthday. The restaurant was quite busy and but the service was prompt and the food arrived quickly. The food was hot and very tasty and tender. The restaurant was very clean considering the amount of activity there.

We dined at this place on the way back to our motel after visiting Peggys Cove. It was my first encounter with a Swiss Chalet, so I didn’t know what to expect. What we got was an experience typical of mid-priced franchise eateries catering to families. The place was clean, the vibe was friendly, the décor was just fine, the... More

Visiting family in the Halifax area, was decided we would eat out. Swiss Chalet on Lacewood Drive was the restaurant of choice. I had no interest in going to Swiss Chalet, chicken was not my meal of choice. Was I surprised, "Roast Beef", tender and delicious. Plus they didn't skimp with the plate size. This was by far the best... More

I just had supper here yesterday with a friend and I found this location to be an average Swiss Chalet. Service was fast, food was consistent and there is a large variety of items on the menu. I had chicken and shrimp with rice. The shrimp were very good but I was disappointed with the chicken. It had to be... More

Tired after a long week and drive back from the Valley, we opted for take out of the quarter chicken (white meat) and baked potato. Swiss Chalet is always predictable, and we enjoyed what we bought. Not fancy, tasty food but not the dipping sauce.

Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?
