Whenever I am in Halifax and want to experience a local pub with live music I head over to the Old Triangle. Food is pub fare and you won't be disappointed- it's not fancy but it is good and not too expensive. The beer is cold and the servers are always friendly. Enjoy!!

First when we walked inside the restaurant, nobody there showed us where to sit then we choose to sit to a table but nobody came to ask us if we want to order anything. We had to went to the kitchen area to ask someone come to take the order. During the meal, nobody asked us for refilling water. Well,... More

We went there with another couple for dinner then upstairs to see JP Cormier perform. We all had the steak n steak which had a lot of flavour, was a good cut and there was no waste. The roasted potatoes could have been better as they were rock hard, no flavour and definitely needed ketchup. Drinks and service were great.... More

Don't know of any other place that you can get a well-poured Guinness with a shamrock drawn in the head by a skilled pourer. On Wednesdays the liver and onion is the best in town. Can't cook it at home so I rely on the Old Triangle. Wednesday also a flight of whiskies is only $10. Great as long as... More

This restaurant has delicious food. I ordered the steak and seafood and my friend ordered the fried haddock, they were both delicious!! I would certainly recommend this restaurant!

This is one of our favourite spots in the city for a great casual meal in a cozy and friendly setting. The menu has all the Irish classics and we've never been disappointed in any of them. The atmosphere is fun and the servers really contribute to this. Located just a few steps from the waterfront, the location is convenient... More

We were here a few years ago with some friends and we sat in the first room. The place was packed and we were lucky to even get a table. I think I ordered the fish cakes, and the food was good but there were so many people there that night, talking, that I just couldn't hear what my friends... More

We just love going to the pub to eat and the staff are amazing there to boot. The live entertainment is always worth the listen and it's always busy as soon as people go more keep coming in that's a good reputation and performance. The reason we keep going back when we are in the city for a night.
