Being able to spend time at the Gahan House with friends and family was great, but to have such a wonderful server as Tanner, made the evening even better. Tanner handled our 8-person order without any trouble. He was comfortable and confident, chatted with all...ages of our party with ease, checked in on our tables with perfect timing, and made us all feel welcome. I recommend a night out at The Gahan House. And if possible, sit in Tanner’s section!More

Reservations for 4 adults, 4 youth, on a busy Saturday evening of March break 2022…the tables were ready on arrival, the service staff were AMAZING, the atmosphere was energetic with a happy vibe, and the food was delish. We went to the Gahan House during Halifax Burger Week. Their burger was absolutely Delicious! The service was perfect. We had absolutely no complaints. This was our first time to order food here and will definitely do so again!

This our first time here. The food was really good . I had chicken pasta and we shared calamari. So delicious. We shared a bottle of wine and the prices were much lower than other restaurants. The waitress was very friendly.

Went here while staying at the Sutton Place hotel for an appetizer Husband really wanted oysters Sorry to say service upon walking in not the friendliest once seated we waited a long time for our server to take our order however our server was friendly...cheery and made great beer suggestions even offering sample tastes Husband ordered oysters I ordered lobster dip It’s a great bar for atmosphere and oysters were fresh Lobster dip was just ok the taste was just not like any other lobster dips I have ordered and I have tasted many!More

Great location with available indoor parking. Very good food. Service was initially very slow - took 15 minutes for a server to attend our table. All dishes were very tasty. Would recommend.

The evening began nice, drinks were brought promptly and service was friendly. Things went downhill after that. We sat for 20 minutes with empty drinks and no food order taken. We tried ordering through another server and were ignored. It seemed our server was actively...trying to ignore us. Avoiding eye contact and coming over at all. When food finally was ordered it had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp as the sauce had coagulated and the calamari was hard and rubbery. The chowder had a thick layer of sludge on top. We had to eat without drinks as our second order didn’t come until we wanted to pay. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, and I even saw a server come in and sign the ‘cleaning chart’ and then leave - leaving it dirty. Our server apologized for the slow service but it would’ve been nice to know they were understaffed at the beginning. We won’t be back.More
