My daughter in law and I were quite excited when we arrived here and saw the cafe, very homey and welcoming. Our disappointment came when we had the seafoood chowder. It was flavourful enough but had very little fish and seafood in it. One small piece of haddock in mine and my companion just got a few flakes, 1 small... More

I am very sorry to hear that our seafood chowder did not live up to expectations. We are very proud of our products and start out with a large amount of seafood per batch to get that nice flavour you were mentioning. It may have been the end of the pot, not an excuse but perhaps an explanation. There is... More

We enjoyed a tasty lunch ( taco salad and Thai chicken wrap) and fortunately had enough room to share a piece of the decadent chocolate cake. Warm and cozy spot with very friendly staff.

Nothing real special about this place, not top notch, but much better than average at the same time. Service was a little slow, but the prices were reasonable. Overall a good place to stop for lunch. The cheese toast was very good, the lobster sandwich good, and the Seafood chowder very good. I would skip the salad since it was... More

Really nice sandwich and soup. Server could have been a bit more friendly, it costs nothing to smile and greet someone. No tip on that basis, hope you take this on board !

It was a very busy lunch time at this small cafe. There was a line up to get in --- always a good sign that the food is delicious. I had the seafood chowder and it didn't disappoint. It was piping hot, and VERY tasty! The portion was generous and was served with a heated homemade roll. The sandwiches, also... More

Found this tiny little gem purely by accident driving down the Main Street of Pictou. It is no mistake this restaurant is rated #2 on TripAdvisor. I had a cup of the seafood chowder, wow, it was hot and fresh and actually tasted like the sea it was amazing with chunks of fresh seafood. Then we had the lobster club... More
