Debbie and her staff are very kind and the breakfast was excellent. The best part of eating in PEC is that it forces you to slow down and enjoy the company of others.

We first discovered this treasure when were we involved in running a dog show at the hotel on the Belleville side of the bridge (currently a Ramada, recently a Travelodge, previously a Sheraton). After several days of "industrial breakfasts" we escaped over the bridge to...Debbie's. Wow! I am a particular fan of her homemade corned beef hash. We stop whenever we are in the area for breakfast or lunch.More
We were in the area at a family reunion and found Darlin’ Debbie’s near by for breakfast. What great “old fashioned” value! The breakfast dishes were what we would want, and they included coffee in the set price. The food was great, Debbie was great...and it started a day that turned out great!!!More
An early breakfast at Darlin' Deb's is a great way to start any day of the week. The Breakfast Poutine is excellent; as is the Eggs Benedict, both well portioned and are just two of her many popular dishes. Also recommended are the Reuben sandwich,...any of her soups and the hot sandwich platters. ALL food here is prepared daily, home made and well priced. Every day offers a different 'Special' which is extremely reasonable in light of all that is is included. The restaurant is very clean, has a homey feel; not large, has ample parking and service is prompt and polite. It is very popular based on the number of regulars that frequent on a fairly consistent basis. One major note*** As long as this establishment has been open at this location, there has never been to my knowledge any smoking permitted inside, nor have I ever witnessed smokers mulling around the entrance. Never ever... Some previous reviews have obviously mixed up another Deb's (Restaurant and Gas Bar) which is located in Shannonville, Ont., just on the city's outskirts east of Belleville, where smoking is permitted. Darlin' Deb's is open 7 days a week 362 days a year - 7 00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. Very convenient as it is just south of the Norris Whitney Bridge on Hwy # 62 located in a fairly new plaza. If needed, reservations are accepted. Kid friendly and booster chairs are available. Highly recommend.More
A great breakfast and amazing service! Had the eggs Benedict and home fries. The coffee was good! Haven’t tried other menu items yet!
Excellent breakfast. Smiling service. Debbie serves up good home cooked country food. The restaurant is bright and welcoming. I often joke with other customers, and even the customers are delightful. Enjoy yourself!
Friendly down home atmosphere. I really enjoy this place. The food has always been good and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. It can get quite busy at lunch and it is not a big place though they do not rush you. Definitely going...again.More
We go to Debbie's on occasion for breakfast and enjoy her fresh bacon and eggs, toast and coffee. Always good service and as much coffee as you want. Good work, Debbie!
First I will start with if you wish to see a bit about the restaurant please feel free to look at the website. It isn't the direct website as there is none though it gives you an idea of the menu. Now since that is...settled I will love to go into my family's favourite things to the start of the day. We walk in and Debbie notices us and grabs me a coffee and whatever the hot beverage of the morning is for my fiance. We sit down, fix our coffees (or wait for his tea to steep). We then proceed to order, to which I would give my usual. Debbie's special; bacon, eggs lightly basted, homefries (which I give to either my son or fiance as they like them) and rye with no butter (I use the egg yolk as a sauce per se). My fiance orders either the Hungry Mans Breakfast with extra sausages and home fries on the side (for our son). If not that then he would order one of the hamburgers. Debbie always leaves with a smile, shortly after she'll come back with our order. The bacon is that wonderful state of crispy but not too crispy, the eggs still have the yolk runny but the egg whites are cooked. Just perfect for me. Of course, ever vigilant Debbie ensures we do not need anything else and quick to appear when we require something. Sometimes we end the meal with an apple juice, sometimes not. The coffee or tea doesn't run empty, when it does, not for long. We never feel unwelcomed, we both feel like part of the family. Like everyone who walks in there just becomes adopted, regardless of age. I do notice 2 not so pleasant reviews, however acknowledging who her demographic is. Between the majority likely doesn't have review accounts, and lets face it if a person goes to a place once and it just so happens to be an off day. It can skew things. Either way I am excited to go back tomorrow.More
We'd heard good things about Sunday breakfast, but were so disappointed. Dry eggs, frozen hash browns, very little food. And the restaurant stunk of cigarette smoke. No customers were smoking outside, so I can only guess that perhaps staff smoke with the door open in...another area of the restaurant. Either way the smell was unbearable. We couldn't wait to leave. We were hoping for another choice for Sunday breakfast but this definitely isn't it!More
