Breakfast is very good at most locations including this one but the coffee is terrible unfortunately. For a restaurant to be known for it's breakfast quality and not have good coffee makes no sense. The coffee is weak and tasteless as if it has been watered down. It doesn't even look like coffee in the coffee mug (murky light brown in appearance). My server even agreed with me and said that is what a lot of people say including her about the coffee. The eggs benedict was very good and the service was very good. I wouldn't go back just due to the coffee. If I go out for breakfast I order both together - not coffee at one place and food at another.

Hello. We're sorry you did not thoroughly enjoy your experience with us. Our coffee is derived from high-quality 100% Kenyan/Colombian Arabica hard beans chosen for their smoothness and less bitter aftertaste. We will forward your comments to the District Manager and they can look into the brewer itself to ensure it is working properly. My wife, son and daughter in law went to this location for a Sunday morning breakfast. I had waffles; my wife had pancakes; my son a big French toast and eggs breakfast, and our daughter-in-law had a salmon omelette. The Omelette was supposed to have hollandaise sauce on the side; instead it came smothered. The other meals were satisfactory.

Hi there. We're sorry to hear about your recent experience with us, however, we do not offer salmon in omelettes. We do offer the Salmon Eggs Sunset which includes three eggs over easy with smoked salmon on English muffins, topped with hollandaise sauce and served with home fries. Sunday morning and the place was busy. We actually got the last available table. The home fries were good and the pancakes were so fluffy. The waitress did slip our hot water but overall pleasantly surprised.

We have been to a number of Sunset Grill diners, and even among a usually reliable restaurant chain, this location stands out! It is clean, the food is fresh and delicious, the staff is very welcoming and attentive, and even the washrooms are pleasant! We happily recommend it!!

Went there for breakfast twice and the service was great. The first time my aunt and i visited the waitress ushered us to our seats and was readily waiting to take our order. Our breakfast was hot when we received it and it was very enjoyable. would definitely visit again next time i am in Canada

Service was diner service it’s not going to be fine dining but the job gets done. Place was clean good looking atmosphere and the food was actually very good I had the chicken Greek salad and it was excellent price wise no more expensive then going to a fast food chain the difference this is all fresh and basically homemade made to order no microwaved food. For quick and fast definitely recommend this especially for all day breakfast!

We came to this location at 11:30 in the morning because it advertised an all day breakfast. The place was less than half full when we arrived. We both ordered eggs with sausage and toast, along with a coffee. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food and when I complained to the waitress, there was not even as much as an apology. We also overheard other customers complaining about the same thing. We finally finished and when we got the bill, we were very surprised to be charged over $30 when all we had was eggs, sausages, toast, and coffee. Needless to say, this will be our last time at this establishment.

Went there for breakfast twice and the service wasn’t good. The first time we went the waitress never smiled and looked very cranky. It took a while to even get coffee let alone our food. Went there again recently to give it another try and the service was even worse. They weren’t busy at all. It took about 20 minutes for us to even get coffee. Then they never came around again to ask if we wanted more. I will not be visiting this location again.

So a few months ago, wrote in a review to head office about my past experiences in their restaurants. First of all, just to be clear, I’m not looking for anything for free or reimbursement but it took them 3 weeks to even acknowledge my concern and then an official from their office emailed me to let me know that they would have to pass of my concern with the individual location/franchisee only to never hear from anyone? Great customer service! I was merely trying to make it aware that their chains are obviously lacking communication. Very poor customer service. I won’t step foot in another Sunset? for the money they charge for breakfast I can go somewhere else.

I’m starting to rethink this chain for breakfast. Tried a different location today since my last experience at the location on Steeles was horrible. Nope still same, unprofessional service. The only thing I could say was that the food was good. We walked in and literally stood at the front where it says please wait to be seated. We stood there a good 5-10 mins, while a table of 6-7 staff members were all sitting down chitchatting and on their phones. The girl shouted across, sit anywhere you like...umm ok. We picked a table, as we walked through, most of the tables were dirty? Being in this industry my entire life, honestly I was disgusted. We finally sat, the server took our order, but it kinda seemed she was frustrated we interrupted their staff party...the food came and it was good, however I thought was unprofessional that servers be sitting on their cell phones while customer can see them. I had to ask another server for more cream for my coffee since we didn’t have enough for our coffee. I mean she was nice but she just wasn’t overly aware. When we asked for the bill, she brought it over and put it on the table and didn’t say anything, not even, thanks so much guys and was still talking and shouting across the restaurant with her coworkers. Is there no management here? If not, I can see why it was so slow. They obviously need adult supervision. When we went up to pay, we had to wait in a line for about 5-10 mins, when we went to pay, I tried to use a couple gift cards and no one at the restaurant could figure out how to use them. So I ended having to pay for the entire bill without using them. This is my last visit to a Sunset grill. I might contact their head office to reimburse me for the gift cards I was unable to use. Horrible!

Here's my thing, breakfast is breakfast, so of course the food was good. However service is where true effort is required and this place has amaaaaazing service. They want you to feel super welcome, but still they dont bother you. they pass by, "everything okay" "yea" "cool" Done. You never have to wait for anything because everyone there is your server and everyone is willing to help. I must say I also really love having my bill ready so I can go up and pay when I am done rather than having to wait for someone to come to my table with a debit machine and so on.. Anyway t'was great.

My family and I ate there this past Sunday , It was a first time for us, I ordered the eggs Benedict and my wife had the French toast, we had to wait a bit due to the volume of people but not too long, The food came out on a timely basis and was hot , my small negative about my Benedict was I found it a bit tasteless , but my wife's french toast was totally awesome, the service was truly excellent and the employees all seemed happy. I will return but probably order something different. Hint: if you want to go on Sunday my suggestion is go early , they get extremely busy.
