we had Puja at our home we requested them to give us food without onion and garlic. They gave us a lot of options for that with the good qty size. I really liked their malai kofta. They do the delivery at a very nominal cost and very punctual

This is a good place if you are a vegetarian and only eat vegetarian food. Prices are very reasonable. They have a daily buffet or you can purchase thali meals to go with different options to select from. Food is delicious.

Absolutely delicious vegetarian indian food. Fantastic and authentic. Great value for an all-you-can-eat style restaurant.

I have had a few frustrating experiences with the service. This is the most recent encounter.
I ordered 3 takeout thalis. There were 3 people at the counter chatting amongst each other but not one person asked for the order for over 15 minutes. Naan had to be ordered just before paying so the food has to get cold before Naan can be made and delivered. What's more Naan took around 25 minutes to "arrive".
On Food, well, There's hardly any Paneer in a Shahi "Paneer" and there is hardly a pakora in Kadhi "Pakora".

I visit them at least twice a month. Their vegetarian dishes are GREAT. The variety of dishes on the buffet is phenomenal. The price is hard to beat. Best food and Best Deal.
Their Naan and Bhartha ( Egg plant dish) are to die for.
Great choices in snacks, main course and dessert.

This is your place if you like so much salt that it it dries up the blood in your veins as soon as you set it on your tongue.
It used to be great! So the two score is in memory of thier formerly great food.
Last three times, same issue. Inedible due to salt. Three strikes, you are OUT!

One of the first Indian/Punjabi/vegetarian in Brampton area isn't just surviving but thriving. Thanks to clean restaurant, attentive and pleasant staff. Everyone make you feel welcomed with genuine smile. Although food is bit greasy (and could be little stale at times) but politeness of staff makes everything more enjoyable.

Its a average Indian cusine resturant , the food is average except the samosas, jalebies and bhature channe and the service and ambience is beLow average as the place needs some serious cleaning up. They make soya bean champs once a week which are must to have. Price is reasonable.

Looking for a good Indian vegetarian restaurant, we went to Village of India on a recommendation. We went for a Sunday lunch buffet. We walked in and I would agree with previous reviews that this place is very outdated and the lack of upkeep shows. There was no hostess/wait staff to greet us. When I got her attention and told her we were a party of five, she pointed to a table for four. There was a completely empty section of dirty tables which we were then directed to. After they cleaned a table, we put our coats down and headed to the buffet.
After getting a plate of food, we noticed that there was no naan at the buffet, so we got the attention of the waitress and she said "you have to order them". She then started to walk away - she didn't ask if we wanted to order naan or how much we wanted.
The food was OK, despite the fact that most dishes were cold (seems there may have been an issue with the warming burners, but they don't seem to care). When we told them the food was cold, the waitress said "no one else has complained". I can vouch that the 'black flies' seemed to enjoy the food! Where do you see black flies in December - apparently at Village of India!
When we told the person who recommended the restaurant to us about the experience, she was apologetic and embarrassed. We also found out that she had not been there in a couple of years. A lot has evidently changed. I learned a lesson as well - anytime someone recommends a place, find out when they last went there.
I am surprised that this place is still in business. Clearly, they have some 'regulars' because they have no interest in attracting new customers or keeping there restaurant up to date and modern. The wait staff's strongest skill seems to be removing dishes. One of the waitresses was spraying Windex on the tables right next to us while we were eating! I thought we were on some hidden-camera show being punk'd to see how long we could last. They lack total professionalism.
Needless to say, we won't be returning - ever. The rating of 1 should be considered generous.
