About
It's a little of this, a little of that and a whole new take on Italian. Our story is simple. Everything we can make fresh daily, we do. Including our hand-stretched mozzarella (made-to-order every day between 5pm & 11pm), our pasta, our signature 1/2 lb meatballs, our dough and desserts.

Friday night girls night out and we’ve been dying to try Scaddabush. We were given a booth between the bar and the dining room. Booths very tight if you’re a bigger person you need a table and chairs, booths also your feet dangle don’t reach the floor. I personally found this very uncomfortable as I have a bad ankle. Anyway on to the food ..appetizers ... spinach dip very tasty one of the best I’ve had. Charity bread cold and very small. Mozzarella plate also cold I would have thought this would be served warm Our entrees .. carbonara is one of their most popular dishes it was good but lacked a little flavour needed to be seasoned. Other pasta dishes were good only the spaghetti was given rave reviews by the diner. Overall as a dining experience I would give it 6 out of 10. It’s just another chain. The one thing that would stop us from returning was the noise. You honestly cannot have a conversation as the acoustics are so bad. The service was spot on our server was a lovely young lady very pleasant. We liked the fact that the manager delivered an allergen meal making sure it reached the right guest.

Having been to the downtown Toronto location we were looking forward to a local visit. Unfortunately we were not impressed. Extremely long wait between appetizer & main meal. Dinner was both hot and cold at the same time. Chicken was hot (slightly overcooked) but pasta was cold. Dessert was cold when it should have been served warm. Ordered an after dinner drink and no ingredients to make it? Might return based only on experience in the other location. MAYBE JUST A BAD DAY?

Lack of staff training was the most obvious. Had to change tables. The caesar salad was excellent but had to ask for salad plates instead of the small bread and butter plates. Mains arrived before the plates were cleared. We had to hold all our old dishes so there would be place for them. My wife quite enjoyed the Mushroom and Truffle gnocchi and while all the ingredients of my chicken and shrimp were tasty, they were floating in an abundance of oil.

I have been to this location many times and enjoyed it so we decided to get delivery during covid19 as they are closed to sit down visits. I ordered a social size pasta (which I’ve had many times before) and got totally ripped off. When we received the food there was hardly enough for one serving never mind sharing as we would with a “social” serving. I paid 40 bucks for 10 bucks worth of pasta. This restaurant seems to be taking advantage of the take out option during this time. Disgusting. Very disappointed. Also the pizza we ordered had like two small pieces of chicken on the whole thing. Not sure if they are trying to conserve or something but they cheeped out all around. Avoid takeout from here as you won’t get any where near your moneys worth. Such a shame.

We became huge fans of Scaddabush when it opened in Oakville so we were so happy it opened in Burlington (10 minutes away). This restaurant has become our favourite! Food is incredible; all homemade dishes. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff all seem great. Prices aren’t too bad so pretty good value; appetizers a little expensive. The only negative is the noise level, very hard to carry on a conversation. Between the too loud music and bad acoustics it really is noisy. However, the fun atmosphere and great food are worth the trip.

We have gone to Scaddabush a couple times now and have been very happy with the experience. The service has been great and the food has been high quality and plentiful. The scratch made pasta and mozzarella are to die for. Even the steak (which I normally don’t order at Italian restaurants) was cooked perfectly and a very high quality piece of beef. The rustic looking pizzas are also amazing. As someone who has traveled through Italy staying in small towns experiencing local and not tourist foods. I can say the pasta and pizzas are inline with the flavours and textures of the regions of Italy I’ve experienced. Great pricing on the food and great wine list and price (go with the 10oz glass as it’s just as economical as buying a bottle). From the apps to the mains we were very happy with the portion and quality. If you are feeling like having a little Italian tonight give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Two cold meatballs and a shared "Caprese" salad totalled $64. The atmosphere is high-end here, the "Italian" food is not. The "fresh mozzarella" on offer is, in my opinion, both expensive and ordinary. We had big lumps of it in our salad and on the meatballs. I love freshly-made Italian mozzarella but could have choked on this, which was more like chewing gum than cheese. On top of paying a lot for our food, we were encouraged to download an app, and sign up to join the restaurant corporation's database. The app required both your email and cell #. In return for your personal info, the management promised to reduce your bill by 15% at the end of the meal (after you confirmed your cell phone # to your waitress.) Having "gone the distance" by signing up, I now regret relinquishing my privacy for a "$10 savings" on what turned out to be an expensive, unexceptional, franchise restaurant meal. I have asked to unsubscribe from this database and have deleted the app from my phone. My final impression was that other franchise Italian chains, although less glamorous, offer better value and better-tasting (hot) food.

Our party of four enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere at this casual restaurant. for lunch on Saturday. The menu is varied with many items cheese, pasta being made in house. We enjoyed the baby spinach salad with pecans, goat cheese, pears and beets as a main course Other dishes enjoyed was the fettucini. As a starter we enjoyed the freshly made mozzarella with tomato relish on foccaccia.

We arrived at 6PM on a Sunday and found that there was no pizza available. Not a slice either regular or gluten free. In addition, no gnocchi available. Service was spotty. No salt, pepper, chili flakes or extra cheese on the table. When the pasta dishes finally arrived, they were dried out from sitting under a heat lamp too long. Avoid like the plague.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and wasn’t very impressed. The food was okay, nothing special, just the kind of food one would find in a road house type restaurant. However, I was shocked by the wine prices, $14.00 + for a 5 oz. glass of wine. The waitress was lovely and when I complained about the wine prices she offered me a taste of the house wine which was more moderately priced. It was too sweet for me, so for perhaps the first time in 30 years, I ate dinner without a glass of wine! When the bill arrived, we noticed I was charged $1.70 for the offered sample of wine….unbelievable! It was galling, especially as the seat in our booth was ripped….

went on a busy weekend, place was full, no parking spots to be had. Service was very friendly. we had the taste of burlington option, salad, main and desert. The garden salad was very fresh and large, with right amount of dressing. the main was chicken parm- it was nothing to write home about, the fettucine were way overcooked and clumped together in a solid bunch, needed a knife to cut my pasta, the chicken was very dry. was 30$ for the meal, not worth it.

If you think this is “Italian” food, you’ve never left Burlington. Absolutely terrible food. Cardboard pizza , tasteless gnocchi, dry meatball. I can’t believe we wasted money here.

Terrible food and service. One of us ordered a pizza, but they screwed the order up and had to make another one. Cheese for my pasta took 15 minutes, by then the pasta was cold. Service was slow and no discount for the issues. Never again.

First time visit, but won't be the last! Shout out to JOE our server who was knowledgeable about the menu and wines and was friendly and attentive. The food was SO good - bruchetta LOADED with tomatoes and avacado, all of the pasta was amazing and the pizza perfect. Then there were the Italian donuts - hot and crispy dipped in chocolate sauce OMG. A perfect dinner.

Great food. Service was good. Fresh mozzarella was delish. A bit disappointed with reservation system. We called 5 days ahead and they didn’t have anything available between 530-745 at all. How few reservations are you taking? So be prepared to wait.
