I came in with a friend today to Sea Shanty Fish and Chips. I've been searching for a new "go-to" fish and chips place since my other one changed ownership. The two ladies running the restaurant were absolutely delightful. The dining area was as I would expect from an authentic, smaller fish and chips shop. I ordered the Halibut and... More

Homestyle meal for that feel good eating! Would definitely recommend them to a friend who was looking for an authentic fish and chips experience. Nod to William Wallace was simply a bonus!

The haddock was quite tasty and enjoyable. The French fries were recooked and combined with new ones. The recooked ones were rock hard . I watched as it was a takeout order and some of the new ones were left in the basket. Therefore the next customer will again get some recooked fries that are hard, potatoes are not expensive... Got take out fish and chips - despite living in this neighbourhood for awhile, I'd never taken the time to go in. The fish was tasty, with a crunchy, light batter that reminded me of tempura coating. Chips were good, and I had some extra left. The cost is comparable with other fish and chip shops, and I'd definitely go... More

I'm basically a "The Thistle" fish & chip guy, and strictly "take out". I was told about this place and decided to give it a try. The current owner has been at this location for 20 years and was previously owned by a Liverpudlian for 30 years prior. Outstanding halibut fish & chips and I will definitely go back. My... More

My fiance and I visited Burlington recently from the US and ended up at Sea Shanty Fish and Chips one evening for dinner. We both tried the haddock and chips, which was AMAZING. The batter on the fish was to-die-for. We were going to order coleslaw as well, since we'd read another review on how great it was, but they... More

Dined in for lunch had English style fish, and chips. Nice selection of food without being too much. Serves beer, and soda. Owner is community oriented. From the first time I visited, I felt like a regular.

This cosy eateries serves the freshest halibut lightly breaded. The chips are superior. We enjoy friendly accurate service with concern for our dining preferences. Sea Shanty. Is definitely my favourite Friday dining place. A Scottish style menu allows a good variety of dishes. We have never had a problem in five years patronizing the Sea Shanty.
