I ordered a chicken souvlaki plate and a pork souvlaki salad for takeout. The souvlaki itself was good. The salad was marginal - limp and tasteless vegetables. New owners do not provide the same quality of food as the original owners. It’s a shame as the restaurant use to be a great place. If you are not familiar with the menu and know what each dish is to be served with you...will not receive it. Will not be coming back after being a customer for over 25 years.More
When wandering the mean and faceless streets of Burlington, there is only one safe-harbour where one can feel truly embraced by both the food and the staff. That place: the Charcoal Pit. My husband and I split a regular sized poutine, and when presented with...our order, found the portion so gargantuan that no matter our effort, we could not finish it in one sitting and had to walk away with some still left over. Delicious as it was, it was just too much food for average mortals. We overheard one employee ask another how the gravy was doing. His response? “Still brown.” What more can you ask for?More

I’ve been coming to this place for 45 years now and it still makes my mouth water every time I think about it. It’s nothing special to look at, no great atmosphere, just good affordable fast food. You can’t get a better hamburger deal anywhere....Hamburgers still requires two hands to eat them standard toppings but the have the stewed/fried/sautéed onions (call them whatever you like) that you can’t get at any chain burger joints. Real potato French fries and great onion rings. And not just burgers they have hot dogs, steaks, chicken giro, Greek salads and more. Service is fast and flavours are the best. The last of a dying breed of independent burger places, I’m never disappointed!!More
Classic burger joint with made to order hot food. Home cut fries, large burgers on fresh buns and delicious Greek souvlaki / gyros. For people tired of factory burger sites. My kids loved it.

Now that I work nearby I have had the pleasure of indulging in their delicious burgers, amazing fries and the best Greek Salad with grilled chicken you can find...in town. I have passed by this restaurant hundred of times but never tried it until now. Ahh just another hamburger joint I thought. Wow, was I wrong. Due to circumstances In the matter of 3 days I have visited twice and plan to again. The cheese...burgers are awesome. The fries are scrumptious. The pork souvlaki on a pita was great and was able to substitute a Greek salad instead of fries at no extra cost. The gyro on a pita was as good as I've ever had with plenty of meat and very tasty. Can't believe I waited so long before trying this Burlington fixture, but think about it, that's why it is a Burlington fixture. It is darn good.More
We love this place. It is a small greasy spoon type place. ( you know the kind of place You would love after a night out back in university) now we got for the delish Gyros and burgers. It is a staple downtown and I...hope it stays around forever!! So friendly and fun a Greek restaurant and burger place. But they also serve the best Greek salads ! An unreal veggie burger - huge portions and very affordable. Quick and friendly service I had the combo with fries a pop and a burger. I loaded on the veggies. I'll eat here again
The place has been in the same spot serving burgers for over 40 years. Best choice in town for a good quality product of this type. Other choices on the menu but I go for the burgers
Been eating here for over 20 years, and parents before that. Never get tired of the great food. Staff is a bit brusque but in a charming old-world way. Just be ready with your order and know how you are paying. Can get a bit...busy but the line moves quickly. Really good classic Greek-diner food. Start with the burger but eventually you may want nothing but the gyros, they are that good! Sometimes go just for the fries.More
We both had the banquet burger combo. Burger was great (with pea meal bacon!), fries were nicely done and they even offered malt vinegar. We were just passing through and this restaurant was not too far off the QEW, so it was a very convenient...stop. The bonus was being located right across the street from a nice waterfront park. We ate there with our dogs, but indoor seating is also available.More
