Went there with some friends found the service to be excellent. Although the wine selection was extensive it was on the expensive side relative to the menu. Appetizers and mains very reasonable prices and delicious non rushed service will definitely return

We live in Hamilton, but occasionally venture to Burlington for dinner where Di Mario's is by far our favourite. Last week we went for a drive along the Burlington Lakeshore, and saw a sign out from saying they were open for takeout; we were so happy. Last night we ordered off the great menu which lists many of their regular, delicious options. We ordered Penne alla Vodka, Lobster Ravioli, Rotolo & Breaded Veal, Arugula, and Caesar salads. Everything was hot, delicious, and just like it is when dining in. The ordering process was easy (an email, and a phone call), and the contact-free payment, and pick-up was appreciated. Great job!

I went here yesterday for a work lunch. Due to the pandemic, we chose to eat outside on the patio instead of inside the restaurant. The patio has a nice view of the lake, and nice trees for shade. The service was good and the food was delicious! We ordered calamari, caesar salad, vitello al limone, ravioli shrimp, and spaghetti vongole. We all enjoyed our dishes. This restaurant came highly recommended by my boss and we were not disappointed. I will definitely have to come back again!

Because of COVID, indoor dining is prohibited in Ontario, so DeMario's is doing take-out dinners. We had two of them on our last visit. On both occasions, the meals were ready at the desired time. The first time we all had the veal limone which was excellent. The meals came in a nice box which doubles as a serving container, so they are ready to eat. We enjoyed the dinners so much that we ordered them on a second occasion. My wife and her sister had the veal limone again, and I had the lobster tail and cheese ravioli in a nice tomato sauce. The lobster tail was in bite-sized chunks and was delicious.

Since the new owners took over and revamped the restaurant and menu, the once highly respected restaurant is not the same as when Nicky managed the restaurant. The new management team needs to do a better job servicing guests especially when we made reservations asking for a certain table. (They blindly gave it away after we have confirmed twice over the phone) . The servers continues to be fantastic dispute of new management. The new menu no longer has the beloved Nicky's cheesecake, no more specials, over priced and portion sizes are half of what they used to be. However, hats off to the chef for the great food! Everything tasted really delicious

An amazing meal from start to finish! Burrata appetizer was fantastic (and big enough to share). Our mains (veal scallopini and the special veal cutlets with a rolled pasta side) were both outstanding. Creme brûlée and some grappa to end the meal. Attentive service throughout. We would definitely return if we are in the Burlington area again.

If you frequented DiMario's in the past, you will notice some changes as soon as you walk in the door. Not major changes, but changes nonetheless. The new ownership seems to place a priority on having multiple managers walking around checking up on the tables. While I appreciate the obvious effort they are making, they could tone that down a bit. Having 4 managers in suits checking on roughly 15 tables seemed a bit overdone. I felt bad for them as I watched them awkwardly try and figure out what to do to keep themselves busy. But credit where credit is due, they are trying REALLY hard to encourage the regulars to remain regulars. The menu is basically the same, for now anyway, and the food was still very good. I was particularly pleased to see that Nicky's cheesecake was still on the dessert menu, and still tasted the same, even though she's no longer there. Most of the staff are new. The biggest issue is the noise level. It's a small restaurant, but the noise is incredible. To the point where it can be difficult to speak with others at your table without having to raise your voice significantly. If you're one of those people with hearing trouble, or struggle with background noise, you're going to have an issue here. While it's not the same DiMario's, I still thought it was good. I'm willing to give the new ownership some time to figure things out and find their groove. As long as they keep producing high quality food I'll be back. And if they can figure out a way to dampen the noise level somehow, all the better! I wish them success.

Thoroughly enjoyed dining on their patio during the music festival in downtown Burlington. A perfect summer like evening but in late spring. Warm garlic piadina was a new and delicious experience for us. This is the Italian version of a flatbread that puffed up like a donut without a proper hole. Two good size pieces were served with freshly grated cheese accompanied by a white bean dip and tapenade. Oh yes, this is really good! We had already enjoyed their complimentary homemade focaccia,YUM! Next was the calamari and shishito pepper with yuzu aioli. Serving size was on the smaller scale but adequate. It was very tender and the coating was crisp and tasty. Probably the best calamari we have had in a longtime. The peppers were a nice contrasting touch and mild. Chicken Picatta was out of this world. Beautifully presented with flavourful Rappini. The caper lemon butter sauce was scrumptious. The smashed potatoes were so good I only wish there were more! However with all the bread we enjoyed it would not have been possible to eat more. These were all amazing dishes! The other main, linguine fruitti de mare was good. It was served in a white wine sauce and although tasty was less spectacular compared to our other dishes and a smaller size compared to similar restaurants. Service was excellent. Prices more to fine dining level. The calibre of presentation, flavours and uniqueness is right up there. It was certainly worth the drive to Burlington for us.

New ownership. New decor. New menu. Growing wine list. Experience and meal was equally as good between old and new ownership. Main room is tight and loud. We sat in the private room area. Calamari and burrata to start. One of the better calamari dishes that I have had. Mains were mushroom risotto and seafood linguine. Was prepared to spend a decent amount on a bottle of wine, but we were steered to a bottle that would likely meet our tastes at about half the price! Always a go to in downtown Burlington and will continue to be.

We chose this restaurant for a casual Friday lunch with friends on a beautiful day to enjoy the patio. The dining outside did not disappoint...the service was good, the food was about an 8 out of 10. The portion size was "adequate" for a lunch, however the pricing for pasta was a bit high. We do have to mention that we were quite surprised by an $8.50 charge for flat water. We were also surprised by the pricing for draught beer at $12 (the highest that we have ever seen anywhere). We enjoyed this restaurant, but find that $300 (tax and tip included) for a simple lunch for four people (no appetizers, no desserts, no coffee or tea) is extravagant for the average lifestyle.

This is usually a favourite spot, but tonight was a real disappointment, service was so slow. It was almost an hour before receiving our appetizer, marinated olives, our main courses arrived after an hour and a half, and would have been delicious but were not hot, tepid at best. the wait is normally ok, if you have apps or bread to munch on. I'm not sure if we'll return too quickly.

We visited on a Sunday. When asking about a wine we were told it was “cheap and cheerful”?! Bruschetta was a 1 inch square of focaccia with 2 cherry tomatoes on top. Dinners were ok, not bad, but not great and portion size was small. I wrote to tell them of my concerns, but never heard a word…This used to be my favourite Italian restaurant in Burlington, but not any longer. Save your money and go elsewhere.

This was our first time dining here since they changed ownership and the menu. We were very pleased with our experience. Firstly, we really liked how the decor has changed. It reflected a more fancy, fine dining, ambience which we personally prefer when we go out. The menu offers many choices, all written in the menu. In the previous experience, the written menu was limited but then the server would name off their many many specials….too many as it was hard to keep track of them as they were named off verbally so we had to keep asking the server to repeat some. Now the menu is all written so we can review it at our leisure while we had our before dinner cocktails. The server was very attentive and provided good descriptions of anything we asked about. Both the wine and meals we had were excellent and portions were fine for us as we even brought some left overs home. All in all we enjoyed the changes and will definitely return. In our view, DiMario’s is still the best Italian restaurant in Burlington.

Superb food, good wine selection, excellent service and terrific ambiance - all steps from the lake. There's always a good selection of daily features, but the Osso Bucco is always tough to beat. Just a superb family-owned and operated restaurant that always manages to blow you away. Note that it's a small place and VERY popular, so definitely make reservations for dinner.
