Had a wonderful dining experience on a Saturday evening. We ordered 3 different martinis which were all great. My husband really enjoyed his green salad appetizer. I ordered the beef short ribs with potato purée and it was delicious. Everyone else ordered the Italian pizza...and they all raved about it. My nephew and his girlfriend ordered the cheesecake dessert which came with a scoop of pistachio ice cream and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The waitress was excellent. Thank you Martini House for a lovely evening out!More

After our favourite restaurant closed because of the weather last night we were left scrambling for our 20th wedding anniversary. Lucky for us, we came upon Georgia who made room for us at the Martini House. We were greeted with such warmth and kindness from...all the staff including a few extra specials from the chef and the bar staff. They offer an extensive wine selection by the glass or by the bottle. The elegantly prepared dishes balanced layered flavours with the comfort of good eats. Portion sizes were unexpectantly generous for a fine dining restaurant. Highlights of our meal included the salt spring mussels, tuna takaki (with black aioli sauce), striped bass, and by our incredible server Sarah's recommendation, the dragon bowl. Although we didn't order a martini, this place offers so much more! Thank you Martini House, Sarah and Georgia for making our 20th so incredibly amazing. The food stands on its own here, but the staff stand out!More

The Martini House continues to offer delicious food and great service. I've visited this place many times for both lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. My friend and I visited for lunch this week and we both loved our meals. The server has...been worked here for a long time and she's always friendly and professional. There is a lovely patio with beautiful potted flowers but it was raining so we sat inside. Each table is now separated with plexiglass framed in wood that is stained to match the decor. A nice touch is difficult times. Therefore, we felt very comfortable when other diners arrived. We both started with a soup of the day--an AMAZING cauliflower creation. I loved my HUGE burger, served with a fresh salad. My friend loved her fried chicken, that she said was tender and crispy. Her dish was also served with a side salad. Her husband loved the leftovers! Good wine list. Great value. Recommended for lunch or dinner.More

This place is jam packed all the time and I am definitely not surprised. The food is amazing and service is great. If you’re going to have calamari anywhere in Burlington, it has to be here!

It is completely unacceptable that this place is not following any of the Covid Protocol. How can it be safe for servers to be so close to clients without a mask? No hand sanitizer in site, no contact tracing, no cleaning table between customers, no...cleaning menus ( yes they are still using menus while almost everyone else have move to on line menu). I actually left today after having just been sat down at a table. I could not believe it. I fully appreciate that the by laws mandates it only inside but it makes no sense from a safety perspective to have waiters who are exposed to hundreds of people daily and cannot social distance with customers not wear masks. Not going back. Too bad.More

I used to love going to the martini house, especially for the yummy tapas. I was so disappointed to see that the servers were not wearing masks. It may be outside... but they are handling food and drinks and going INSIDE the restaurant. They were...not taking phone numbers for contact tracing either. If you walk around downtown Burlington you will see other restaurant servers wearing masks, why does the martini house think they are above wearing face masks????? Not going back to a restaurant that does not take covid seriously.More

Definitely not COVID safe! Pros : - amazing food - friendly staff - interesting drink menu Cons: - the servers were not even wearing a mask and serving and chatting with every one. I’m cool with the chatting part but hey! Where is your mask?...- drinks are overpriced. Like 15 dollars for a shot of Jameson? I have worked in a bar and hence I know a reasonably priced menu - FOUND A PIECE of glass in my friend’s drink. This just sums its all. Will I go there again? Nope!More

We had reservations a week ago, and were really looking forward to dinner there after months of being cooped up - this is one of our favourite restaurants in downtown Burlington. We walked by the restaurant the night before, and observed staff with no masks...serving within 1-2ft. of tables. We called and asked the restaurant what their COVID safety protocol was and were advised that they wiped down menus and tables/chairs between sittings, but that their staff were not required to wear masks. Needless to say we cancelled - very disappointed that safety does not appear to be taken seriously. I hope that they will amend their protocol, for their safety and their customers. Ultimately, it's their business and their decision, but it will truly unfortunate if cases increase (tragic if associated with their restaurant) and we are forced to move back to Stage 1 - most especially for other restaurants who are taking proper care.More

My wife and are residents of Burlington and have enjoyed dining at The Martini House. We did not feel it was safe to dine there this evening (June 24), and may not have gotten a table in any event, they were quite busy. Our concern...- - staff, particularly the servers, were not wearing masks. When I questioned the Hostess, she said “yes we are not doing that”. What is the point of placing physical distance between tables and then allow unmasked servers to approach and serve patrons as if we live in a COVID free world. Why not taking steps to protect your staff and your patrons. It’s inexcusable. I hope that you are at least recording your patrons phone numbers for tracking purposes should it become necessary?More
