After doing some shopping we came here for lunch. It wasn't very busy when we arrived.
We were quickly looked after and we ordered parmesan fries to start. They were perfect, not over done. We really loved the aioli garlic dip
My mother had the roast beef in a yorkshire bowl. The bowl was unique, large rectangular with everything inside. We swapped out the mashed potatoes for mixed vegetables.
I had the Buffalo Flatbread, it had a great kick to it.
Our server Louanne was lovely, when we were packing up the leftovers she gave my mother some extra gravy to take home.

Stopped in for a late lunch - sat at the bar and watched World Cup soccer. We had the fish and chips and the chicken fingers, as recommended by the bartender as local favourites. Both were fresh and tasty. Cozy environment, very friendly servers. Would definitely return to maybe try the burger next time.

Just introduced to The Black Bull Pub last weekend. Great food, friendly staff and Glen was great entertainment. We are looking forward to a return trip soon. Highly recommend The Black Bull, you won’t be disappointed.

Went with the family today for lunch. Had a burger lunch special for $11.99 with fries. It was a great burger (not frozen). The fries are the large pub fries. Would definitely go back.

Perky little waitress, so helpful. Great selection on draft. Good selection of food which was excellant and plentiful. Considering the inflationary time, great value by comparison.

Been here but once before and enjoyed and variety of menu choices and typical pub fare. The bangers and mash were great as was the schnitzel.
But today’s visit, omg one of the worst dining experiences (besides jakes boathouse) since joining tripadvisor.
A nearly empty bar and the service took for ever! 20 minutes before we got the food order in and then we had to wait just as long to get it.
Menu change really limited the food food options to fried everything except the salads and beef bowl! Gross!
Over saturated in salt the orders were terrible.
And again we waited for ever for the bill.
Not returning here anytime soon

I had the Fish and Chips, while my daughter had the Shepherd's Pie. Both were excellent! Reasonable selection of ciders ofr me while my daughter stuck with the local microbrews. Again, both good.
Pricing and service were both good

I visited for an early dinner last night and loved the place. My friends knew the owner who was a very helpful and happy gentleman. The menu has a great selection of steaks and burgers and many other options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was great and we were able to take the leftovers home. It’s has a small homely feel and great for sports fans as well with plenty of tv screens.
Worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Wife and I dropped in for a pint and nibbles on a Thursday night around 8pm. Also whanted to catch some of the hockey game (LOCAL BLACKOUT RULES SUCK!...WHOLE OTHER STORY!)
It was fairly busy but found a spot. Little rough on the cleanliness side but not surprised as to traffic flow. Waitress tried to get Canadiens game on tv but (very surprisingly) even blocked on their broadcasts. Hmmm...sports bar?...blocked??
SOOO, oredered pints and food. Great daily deal mini-jug of REALLY COLD beer (subzero), great wings and wife had the fish n chips. Fantastic, fresh and tasty!
CHEERS!! Going again very soon!

We recently made a reservation and went to the black bull. We arrived at 6:00pm, ordered food and drinks and the food started to arrive sporadically around 9:00pm. As the food started to arrive the waitress told one party member we don’t have what you ordered, really after almost 3hours in and you didn’t realize you don’t have what we ordered??? Tables that came in after us ate and left as we waited hours for our meal. Avoid this place as their are lots of other better restaurants in Burlington. This was our first and last visit to The Black Bull.

I has the chicken wings with a blue cheese and hot sauce that wasn't even on the menu, but should be because it's pretty awesome! 10 wings for $6.90 is a good deal. My son had an excellent burger with fries and my wife enjoyed the chicken sandwich. No complaints and they have a great beer selection.
