we brought home fish and chips from this restaurant. The fish was tender, in a light batter and perfectly cooked. The French fries were not greasy and plentiful. The Caesar salad was made with fresh greens but needed more dressing as it was huge. We...have neighbours who go regularly and stand by the hamburgs and perogies as well.More

It's a lovely, comfortable pub in the Irish style. The music is contemporary, alas, but it's also bar hours. I had the green salad with vegetable lentil soup. Absurdly delicious! The salad was crisp and plentiful. I appreciated that the cherry tomatoes were cut in...half so they didn't squirt everywhere when I bit into them. The soup wasn't very hot but i appreciated that, too - nothing quite as bad as starving but having to stir the soup for twenty minutes to make it possible to eat. Loaded with lentils and the broth was nice - not too much of the tomato taste (I'm not a fan of tomato but the only other option was a Cheese soup that sounded very nice but is off limits to me). Definitely one for my revisit list.More

You have to wonder why some eating establishments get good reviews, and others get raving reviews....when you walk in, first impressions on the greetings, the table service, the accuracy if your orders, the non intrusionary nature of the wait staff, and the excellent array of...foods on the menus. We came in for a late lunch on Saturday at 3:30. I had one of their all-day breakfast items - 2 eggs cooked to order with bacon, toast and home fries. The home fries are always spectacular with small, well done, cubes of potatoes and...onions and the price is reasonable. One top of that at 4pm there was very good live music.More

We ordered off the menu. Hamburger $10.00. We got the bill. Hamburger $12.00. Questioned the server, she said " you need to read the fine print. It says prices subject to change ". WTF !

Great local pub, been coming for years. Menu is nor the most extensive, but what they do, they do well and it's not expensive. Live music frequently. It's been spruced up and refreshed since my last review a few years ago, Just what you'd expect...in your "local".More

One of the best pints of Guinness in town. They serve enough that the kegs are always fresh, and the temperature is in the sweet spot. What makes this place special is the spirit of the ownership and staff. They are genuine. There is low...turnover, always a good indicator of good and caring management. Customers are treated warmly, and this little place is infused with an atmosphere of peace and friendship. The food is consistently satisfying. There are often special dishes for dinner which are from time to time outstanding and well worth inquiring after. Service is prompt and unobtrusive. Overall, this establishment draws a friendly clientele, that generally welcome newcomers and freely engage in conversation. A great place to head to for a hearty breakfast, lunch, a time to connect with friends, live music if that's your thing. Well run and deserves to succeed.More

This pub has live music and we attended for a Sunday matinee specifically to see JayDee Bixby. We were not disappointed. The music was good, the food was good, and the service was excellent. Nice little neighbourhood pub conveniently located to where we live. Would...like to see the speakers turned down a bit and then it would be overall excellent. I had read the favorable reviews on TA and I was not disappointed. At first when you pull up, it doesn't look like much from outside, in a kind of run down plaza I've driven by a 100 times, but this is a great pub...with good food, friendly service and local owners. Not one of these mass franchise operations. You can tell this is a pub that has loyal locals when you walk in. There are pictures on the wall of patrons past and present. You have this odd feeling that everyone knows everyone's name but yours. Folks come over and say hi though, and you soon feel welcome. One of the owners introduced himself, saying he hasn't seen you before and thanks for coming. Myself and 3 friends had gone for what we call Wing Night. We never have wings anymore. Their menu has all the regular pub grub, limited selection of (mostly domestic) on tab beers and is relatively inexpensive. I ordered the home made steak and kidney pie and it was delicious. My friends ordered the same with the exception of perogies (also home made) and he said they were very good too. We had home made brownies and ice cream to finish. I can not say anything bad about the food at all (that's rare for me). We stayed longer than expected. They were having poker night so a number of tables were reserved and the place was packed on a Thursday night. Apparently the place is very busy on Friday and Saturday with live entertainment. Carrigan Arms is a great neighborhood pub. On weekends, they have live bands Saturday and Sunday afternoons, often with a packed dance floor. There are food specials which come out fast and hot. They feature a full service bar with a number of import beers...as well as domestics. Chris and Amy give fantastic service and are always friendly. Clientele ranges from young families to older singles and couples and groups. They also have play for free poker nights, Sunday and Wednesday. My wife and I visit two or three times a month.More
