We regularly visited the Slye Fox from its opening in 2000(?) until 2015 when it was sold to (ahem) unusual owners who had no idea what they were doing. We went nowhere near it for two years, until it was sold again to proper owners....We regret the current lockdown, but ordered takeout, off the menu, tonight. The food was excellent, the staff were cordial, and we will certainly do so again. This is a great community resource, once again under competent and able management. The parking is excellent, exceeded only by outstanding staff. Fred CrockettMore

Freedom Train Band was great. The Food was just average. Our waitress was trying, it was busy but the person that brought our food was loud and definitely not presentable to serve food. Would I go back, maybe for a beer.

I have been to the Slye Fox a few times recently, a couple of times for their Trivia nights and a couple of Fridays where they have local bands. The place is busy but you can find a table. Our fave food we had was...their Ale & Cheddar dip with toasted bread and pita wedges. When you dip the bread it tastes like a great grilled cheese sandwich. Last night I shared this with one of my friends and we didn't finish it, it's very filling. Service is a little slower than other places, but I think the food is house made versus a lot heat and eats you get at chain places.More

So I had submitted a positive review back in 2017 but my wife and I had a ridiculously bad lunch at the Slye Fox - hence this update. We arrived for a late lunch - no one else at a table, couple of people at...the bar. Took just under 30 minutes for our food to come out. Food came out bland and dry (chicken was rubber). Server had no reaction to my complaint. To be fair, the food was removed from the bill. Won't come back here for food. Still looks like a decent place for a pint.More

Stopped by for a pint an hour before closing. Walked in and sat a table. We ordered drinks and were served. Several minutes later we were told by another staff member they were going to add 5 dollar cover charge each on our bill. They...did not tell us at the door. The band was not playing and I was told later by a third staff member that they had already done 2 sets and were coming out later. The 5 dollars was not the issue. It was how extremely rude the staff were with us when we questioned why there was a cover charge when the band was almost done. Would not recommend this pub.More

I went with a friend on a Saturday night for the live music and we have a great evening. The servers were very nice and the atmosphere made us feel at home right away. The band was clearly well loved by the patrons.

A couple of weeks ago we went into the pub because we had just moved to the neighborhood. It was a Thursday and there was Karaoke. It was a little on the loud side but we had a great time, saw some decent singers and...a bunch of laughs! The lady that was serving us was new to the place as well. Her name was Trish. She was very friendly and recommended a few things that we tried. She told us about the different events you guys have on a weekly basis, and said to come in sometime for dinner because the food is outstanding. She also said there would be a new menu coming in the near future. What was going to be just a quick drink turned into a night out. She made our night! We look forward to making this our local hangout and checking out the trivia and live music nights.More

Recognizing that it was busy due to St.Paddy's day, service was non existent. 45 minutes to get a beer, so we ordered a pitcher right away. Apparently some servers decided not to show up (they likely wanted to party themselves... but then they shouldn't be...waitresses should they? At any rate, not a customer's problem, but I did take it into consderation). To compensate, maybe a few bones/apps could have been thrown our way with the 6 pitchers ordered over the evening at our side of the 'party'. I could see an equivalent number of pitchers and at least 10 food orders eventually made it to the other side of the tables/room. What we saw on the plates was enough to not order food. Not the best representation given it was an event night, but it was enough for us not to tempt fate again at this establishment, and we were not the only ones echoing this sentiment. Sorry guys. The Live Band was a nice touch, but didn't make up for the waiting time, poor food & service.More
