Excellent Hellenestic Flavors

Warm cosy place. We shared a few appys. Well done. Mousaka is always my favorite and I have to have it and it was delecious. Served hot and less greasy. The sea bass, squid, salmon all were prepared well and good service to top it up.

Amazing Greek Food

I highly recommend Mythos Greek Cuisine and Wine Bar! The food is fresh and homemade, with extremely generous portions at very reasonable prices. I tried the featured sea bass dish, while my friend enjoyed the moussaka, and both were absolutely delicious. We also indulged in the feta cheesecake, a secret recipe from the chef/owner, and I can confidently say it’s the best cheesecake I’ve ever had (and I’m a cheesecake lover!). Be sure to make a reservation for lunch or dinner—you won’t be disappointed!

Such fresh, light but cozy decor! It has a understated elegance. The service was spot on and they were busy. We ordered a very crispy / tender calamari with a flavourful sauce. We probably didn’t need this as the mains also came with your choice of salad or soup appetizer. The Greek salads were cool and crisp dressed with a lovely light vinaigrette. A generous amount of feta cheese topped these salads. Yum! Lamb chops were good as was the chef special. A chicken dish bathed in a creamy roasted red pepper and fresh basil sauce. The chicken was cooked a little too long for my preference but the flavourful sauce made up for it. An abundance of tasty vegetables and lemon potatoes or rice pilaf accompanied the mains. All arrived very hot with steam arising! Very generous portions and reasonably priced. We will be back to try other tempting dishes.

Not family friendly especially to seniors in your party

We are a family of 4 adults, an 87 yr old senior, and a 12 year old. We ordered 2 platters, 2 saganakis opas, and a kids meal, along with 2 cokes. We said that our 87 year old mother was going to share this huge order with us, but they refused and said she needed to order her meal individually. Our waiter said it was a restaurant policy, and this had nothing to do with him. We were very shocked as this was our first and most likely our last visit to this restaurant/ wine bar.

Ripped Off

We ordered for 12 people for lunch and I asked for 12 chicken skewers, plus 4 extra rice, salad, 6 pitas and Ttzatziki sauce. I didn't ask for the price and it wasn't provided on the phone. My colleague went to pick up the order and tipped. The bill was $450 for lunch (we left a $50 tip as my colleague didn't know what the price should be)!!! They charged for 16 dinners - NOT LUNCH. There was food for 25 people.....insane. A complete rip off. I tried multiple times to contact the owner through multiple channels and NEVER received a call back or even an apology. Absolutely disgusted in the customer service. We feel completely ripped off.

Disappointing Return Viist

We were expecting more! Going to a movie in a nearby site, we decided to “revisit” Mythos, a restaurant we have enjoyed in the past. The reservation process was fine. The dessert - pistachio baklava - was very nice. In between…not so good. First, the restaurant, (on a cold evening) was very cold. We were not near the door, but my wife had to put on her coat to keep warm. The salads were watery. My main course - sea bass - was basically AWFUL - tasteless, gooey and almost invisible on the plate (my wife asked where the fish was). We had a reservation for the movie so had to leave … unfortunately before having a chance to give our feelings to those in charge. My hope is that this review will prompt some changes. We drove a fair distance (the movie was the incentive), but would probably NOT return; this restaurant used to be “special” … no longer.

Placed an order on Wednesday for Saturday night, Mother’s Day Dinner for the Grandmas’. Went to the restaurant on Saturday evenIng to pick-up the order. It was wrapped tightly and I assumed that I did not need to check that all the items where there. Brought the order home, which is not around the corner and when we began unpacking the order we realized that the order was missing the appetizers. I called the restaurant and began speaking with the person whom I paid, I said that I was missing the appetizer from my order and said I was just there 16 minutes ago. He’s exact words were “Hold on buddy” as though I was inconveniencing him with my phone call. I let him know to not call me buddy and that I wanted to be refunded for the missing items. He put me on hold and the phone went to buzzy signal. I called back and and they didn’t apologize for hanging up and said no they don’t do refunds and my choices were to get the food delivered or have a gift card. I said I would not be going back to the restaurant and that I wanted a refund because I did not receive the food. He said they would deliver the food to the house or gift card. I was not going to give them my money for free so I told them to deliver the food. Why would I want the appetizers 45 mins after we have eaten the entrees or why would I want a gift card for a restaurant that’s customer service was so poor. 10 mins later while I was eating my dinner with my family the restaurant called my phone and said that they did not charge me for the items because they did not make those items for my order and that they will not becoming to the house to deliver the appetizers. I explained that they messed up the order and how they whole experience was just a joke from taking the order to how they handled their errors. I have no issues with honest errors but I do have a problem with people who feel they are entitled to my money for goods not rendered. The only saving grace was that they did not get the extra money due to their own incompetence. I am giving two star because the food was good but not enough to make up for their professionalism.

Good food, service and atmosphere need improvement

The food was the best thing about our visit to Mythos— delicious pork souvlaki and lemon potatoes. But the service was quite slow, I had to ask for cutlery and wait while my meal was getting cold. With dated decor and lacklustre service, sadly this was not a memorable visit.

This is the worst Greek Restaurant I’ve ever been to. We were 3 adults, one senior and a toddler. Everything we ordered tasted awful. The men’s washroom was dirty and one can see the kitchen on the way to the washroom and it too was very dirty.

First & last time in restaurant

My hubby & I went to Mythos on a Saturday about 2pm. We both had a Greek salad which was really delicious. My hubby had chicken souvlaki & I had lamb souvlaki. Most of the lamb was chewy or tough. The so called lemon potatoes had no taste at all & had been regrilled by the look of them. Absolutely tasteless. The rice was okay. We were the only customers at the time.

First time coming to this restaurant during lunch time, with my coworkers for lunch. We started with many appetizers such as the spanakopita, saganaki and calamari. They all tasted good and fresh. As our main meal, two of us ordered the lunch menu chicken souvlaki on a pita, that came with a choice of side. It was very good and filing. My other co worker had the paidakia (grilled lamb chops with rice and potatoes). He very much enjoyed his meal. Overall all the food tasted great and fresh.

The food was excellent and in quite large portions. We felt well taken care of by the wait staff--attentive without being annoying. The meal was a little slow to come, but the atmosphere was lovely, so it wasn't a problem.

Very nice visit! We went for our anniversary. Service was fantastic and personable. House wine quite decent. Ordered the seafood platter for 2 and saganaki. The food was fantastic, massive portions. The seafood platter came with pita and 4 dips (all were very good). A soup or salad, then a huge platter of rice, potatoes, 2 fish fillets, 6 shrimp and 4 calamari. The saganaki is a must have. All were perfectly cooked. Very pleased with our visit

Another great meal at Mythos

We go to Mythos about once a year and always enjoy the food and excellent service. Today we took our daughters (12 year olds) for the first time and they really enjoyed it. We had the Cyprus Meze and it was amazing (as always). It comes out in four courses and is absolutely delicious. It is a ton of food and you are certainly going to be taking a lot of leftovers home with you!! It’s very reasonable ($32/adult and $16/children). The Greek beer was perfect and a nice change from the usual beers offered locally. The Pinot Grigio was also excellent. We will come back again as Mythos continues to be our dine-in option for Greek food!!

Flavours were more Arabic than Greek

Let’s start with the positive. Elegant atmosphere with Greek music playing in the background. Our servers were very attentive and amazing. I came here with big expectations only to be disappointed. We ordered the Cypriot meze for two. Portions were actually out of control HUGE! You can’t go wrong with portions. We needed up taking a lot home. This is where I was disappointed. As a Greek I tasted the tzatziki and it was not authentic. After looking at the menu, I realized next time I should read it better and not assume. The tzatziki was made with sour crème and mint 🤮I found all of the flavours and textures were completely off from authentic Greek. I am not from Cypress and perhaps the flavour are more Cypriot and the restaurant should not be called a Greek restaurant. The chicken souvlaki and pork came out dry. The gyro had no flavour. The lemon potatoes had way too much lemon and the rice was bland. Over all I was excited to get great Greek food and experienced the flavour of turkey instead. The village salad was not authentic as village salad is usually tomatoes, they used cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers and onions . This was mostly peppers and there was barely any cucumbers. The flavours really threw me off. Not a place I think I would visit again if I am craving Greek food.
