I'm from Texas so my BBQ palate is particular, this place is just an average place to get BBQ....I didnt see a smoker which is always a red flag when eating BBQ. Just had the brisket plate and the brisket was slathered in sauce (which...actually wasn't bad) but I didnt see a smoke ring etc...french fries were good...mac and cheese below average....BBQ in Canada and Cambridge is limited but better can be had just down the road. Food was all very good but not fantastic level compared to other southern BBQ restaurants in the area. The bottom line is that it’s good enough I would recommend and likely eat there again. I wasn’t overly impressed with the corn bread or the Mac...and cheese which I was told both were incredible prior to eating there. The setup they have for pickup with covid could also be better. They only have enough room for a single person to stand inside and wait while food is being prepared so I waited in the freezing cold parking lot while some skip the dishes lady waited for her huge order indoors. Overall it was pretty good and reasonably priced and would likely go back.More

The food is always excellent at the Q. It’s difficult to choose. My personal favourite is the taco salad with pulled chicken. The smoked meatloaf is one of my husband’s favourites. The service is great. If you are going at prime meal time, a reservation...is recommended as the restaurant is not huge. It is definitely worth a visit.More

We stopped in at the Q BBQ early on a Friday evening. We were quickly seated and our drink orders taken. The special was a half rack of ribs, corn bread and a side for $14.95. Both of us chose the special. The ribs were...excellent. Corn bread was fresh and delicious. I had the beans which were spicy and laced with pulled pork. The fries were hot and crisp. We absolutely loved our meal. We had ribs, chicken and wings. The wings were probably the best wings we ever had. The service was also good.

We stopped in for a bite the other night (our first time here) and were impressed with the service and the food. We went with the 3 meat platter (Brisket, Meatloaf and Chorizo), along with mashed potatoes, gravy and slaw (cornbread was also served.) For years, the Q BBQ was ranked as the number 2 BBQ joint in Canada, always losing to the Pig BBQ in Victoria. Don't know who the people are doing the rankings (or what the reason for the overall ranking in Trip Advisor is) but...I've eaten in both (as well as many BBQ places in Texas and the southern US) THIS is the very best Southern style BBQ place from coast to coast in Canada and can hold its own with most of the US BBQ joints. The brisket is amazing. The cornbread is moist, the pulled pork has just the right amount of tang, the ribs fall off the bones. If you're within an hour of this place and you enjoy BBQ, you need to add Q BBQ to your food bucket list.More

The food is pretty interesting (in a good way) but for the price it’s not really a good value. Hush puppies were pretty bland, Caesar salad was caked in dressing etc. For Cambridge it’s not a bad place but it’s not on the top of...my list of places to go. How surprised were we all being on a keto diet to find they also had an entire keto dessert menu. Kisha (Alisha) our server was amazing and very polite. I saw an episode of ‘You Gotta Eat Here’ featuring Q BBQ. I was so excited to give it a try and ended up being very disappointed. I know good BBQ and this was sadly not it. I ordered the brisket dinner (platter, not sandwich)....The serving was very small for the price and the brisket was luke warm and relatively tough. There were only about 4-5 small slices. My dad ordered the ribs. They were ok, but nothing to write home about. I would also like to mention the atmosphere. It was incredibly hot! Maybe the air conditioning was not working that day? They didn’t even have the fans going inside the restaurant - it was very uncomfortable. All the doors are open, but without the fans there was very little air flow. The one nice thing was the server - a kind, lovely lady. Nothing bad to say about that. It seems like the place may have changed ownership since its Food Network debut. I felt embarrassed to have hyped this up so much to my family and then received such a sad, tired and mediocre meal. I will not return. I wanted to write this review to warn others who have seen the program on Food Network.More
