My husband and I heard that new owners had taken over and there were several changes. We went in with our 2 kids on a Friday night. We were pleasantly surprised by the new decor. It looks much cleaner and very updated. We were greeted at the door and explained the rules (masks, social distancing, sign in form etc). The menu is smaller than it was before but there are some great choices. The service was very friendly and helpful. I had the pan fried Perch with lemon pepper seasoning and masked potatoes with gravy, my husband had the Philly Steak and cheese with fries, my daughter had the Julienne Salad and my son had wings. My fish and mashed potatoes were delicious, my husband could barely finish his Philly (it's loaded), the Julienne salad was huge and my daughter loved it and my son loved the wings. I tried one of his wings and they are just as good as they used to be (maybe even a bit better). It was busy but the staff ensured everyone was distanced and wearing masks. The staff sanitized tables after each person left and always wore masks. I felt very safe here with my family and am looking forward to going back.

Great service, delicious food. My family and I were in Fort Erie for the weekend and we went there for dining there. The first time there. We liked a lot. I ordered Fresh Lake Erie perch with garden salad and ranch dressing, my wife and my daughter mushroom Swiss burger, one with sweet potato and the other with French fries. The portions were generous and the prices fair. Due to the pandemic the service was in the patio only. We will go back when we come to Fort Erie again.

Had the Philly steak sub. Served on what looked like a hotdog bun. Grease soaked into lower bun so was difficult to pick up and eat. Had to use the cheap steak pucks, tasteless. Upgraded to sweet potatoes fries, good and piping hot, sauce was ??????Tried the jalapeno poppers, good inside but the outer shell was real doughy like maybe Walmart brand.

Was very disappointed in this place. I heard they had new owners so we thought we would try it.. wings were not like they used to be very little sauce and greasy. They were not crispy at all and were really fatty and looked freezer burned. Couldn’t even eat the fish and chip because of the amount of grease on my plate.. The plating was sloppy and looked a mess. My silverware was dirty and my glass had lipstick on it. The service wasn’t bad but we waited a long time for our food.There was no social distancing and the servers were always taking there masks off.. didn’t feel safe there at all I’m surprised they haven’t been turned in yet. Overall experience was horrible. I guess I’ll be looking for someplace else to order my Friday night meals from.

After not being able to get our food from our usual dinner place due to high volume, we gave The Plaice a try. It was … absolutely disgusting. We ordered 4 fish and chips and a burger and no one could eat their meals. I tried for a dish-free, cooking-free night and ended up wasting $100 and cooking anyway. Never again.

Besides the food being good, it was overpriced and the servers we're complete utter failures. I hope they get fired. we came as a group of 9 after a days of work the Server's ended up singling out one person in the group and telling them if they leave on there own thay will call the cops this person did not drink or anything but they Insisted he did which led us all to leave If the owner does not fire these savers, I can see this place going downhill fast

My husband and I went to the Plaice to watch our kids play in a volleyball tournament yesterday. We were thoroughly disgusted by the unprofessionalism and negatively that we witnessed from the owners. It became increasingly obvious that they are not very well liked or respected and now I see why. I watched them yell at players, change rules on a whim, and just treat people downright rudely.
In talking with some of the other players, I was told that the wife treats the staff terribly and is nothing more than a bully. I cannot support a business that treats their own staff and clientele in such a way. A few teams told us they would not be back next year because of the owners. The changes to the rules and the treatment of staff, coupled by the unnecessary, unprofessional outbursts will most certainly cost them a lot of business. It has cost them my family's.

We went to the Plaice last night for fish and it was the best fish I've had. We had haddock and perch and it was delicious. The service was great, thanks Shannon and Nicki.

Went to listen to Midlife Crisis band play at The Plaice Restaurant & Bar in September, and we really enjoyed the band and the pizza and wings. Great pub grub at a reasonable price.

First time at The Plaice and while it’s easy to drive by (as it’s pretty nondescript), it’s worth the stop! I’m always on the lookout for good wings and they are exceptional!
Very friendly service and prompt. Very clean. Super reasonable price point. We were both pleasantly surprised and we will definitely be back
