This is a relatively new addition to the Locke Street food scene. In the past two months we've dropped by at least six times and have never been disappointed. Their soups, burgers and fries are all first class. It's a relatively small venue with a friendly relaxed crowd. Great value for your money

This is a very simple cafe type restaurant that serves excellent soup, salads and sandwiches/burgers. The menu changes frequently and there are a number of delicious sounding options every day. I had the arugula salad topped with sirloin and it was delicious. Very fresh tasting and lightly dressed. Definitely will be back.

This small restaurant was recommended by a number of young artist in Hamilton. The name alone was intiguing enough for a visit. We each ordered one of the daily soups and agreed they were delicious and filling.

It was our first visit to the restaurant, We had the Brazilian fish soup and Cauliflower soup. They were both very tasty and fresh. The frites are also very good and the sauces are different and had a slight bite to them. The restaurant is small but turnover is fast so the wait was not long. The staff is very... More

My son and I visited this location and loved the food, the vibe and ambiance. This is a small restaurant with an equally small seating areas. Some patrons were ordering take-home. Unique pricing GRID classifies the specials for the day. We enjoyed one of the special soups of the day. Yum, yum. Would return in a heartbeat.

Was really looking forward to my first visit after reading all of the great reviews and The Burnt Tongue did not disappoint. It was a pleasure being welcomed warmly by a young man who explained how the menu worked and helped me with my order as I am lactose intolerant. (It is great to see celiac friendly, dairy free, vegetarian... More

I have been here maybe a dozen times in the last couple years. Always great food, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Prices seem to have shot up lately, last time I was there 2 soups and a large fry were pushing the $30 mark...

Thank Lain C
