OK but not spectacular. Restaurant devoid of any ambience. Food. Obviously not memorable since I don't remember! Used to be a nifty Jazz bar. A lot of fun, with creative food. Seems they are trying to turn it into a "Country Market"! Why?

Excellent food and drinks! First time here and would recommend. The atmosphere was quiet. The wait staff was super friendly and the food was amazing!

So Disappointing….asked for utensils three times, 45 minute wait for food. When the food arrived we then waited for condiments as the food got colder. We received a small plastic cup less then half full of ketchup for two orders of fries and a burger....The burger wasn’t a burger…..it was loose ground beef sprinkled on a less then fresh bun. Gravy was brown paste with little flavour. Oyster Rockefeller was the poorest I have ever had. The table beside left after they received burnt nachos. Awful.More

Not typical at all. We apologize and have looked into the fragmented food/service.

A study in how NOT to run a restaurant. Owners, please decide if this is a restaurant or a dive bar, because the food quality and wait times in addition to the stench of cigarettes, better suits the latter.

Thank you for your visit. Our restaurant is 'no smoking' so we do not know where the odour would be coming from.

This place was a favourite at one time and we went often. Then we stopped going as it was not so great anymore. In the fall of 2022 tried it again and had a really nice meal (salmon/beet/pear salad) so I thought it was ok...again. Nope. This time was terrible. Not very clean. Booths now jammed uncomfortably together to make room for a “store”. Stingy food portions. Bathrooms not serviced (no toilet paper and soap dispensers were both empty, had to add water to the pump bottle and shake it to get enough soap to wash my hands). Omg. Server was nice and very agreeable but she clearly was no reflection on kitchen. Food took forever even though there were only 6 patrons and most were just drinking at the bar. My very hungry vegetarian friend struggled to find anything on the menu. Finally settled on a cheese pizza. They didn’t have anything to put on it so he asked for basil as a topping. Came with 1 small basil leaf. The pizza was small. Still starving, he ordered a second pizza and asked for LOTS of basil. Got 4 leaves. I ordered the 1/2 price wings (reg $17) which I recall were generous in the past. There were 7 small wings. Meh in taste. No carrot. Some celery that was not fresh and blue cheese that was liquid and runny like it has been watered down. It was so small I ordered a second serving but reluctantly because of the time it took for the first ones . By the time I finished the first 7 wings I didn’t bother eating the rest as they were not very tasty at all. Took them home but they were worse the next day. $70 for this food and some soda water. (including a good tip, it was not her fault) I don’t know what’s happened but it needs fixing. :-( Don’t think I will try again until I hear things are better. So many great restaurants in town now.More

This place has really hit rock bottom. My friends and I stopped in for some half price wings and quick beer. The service took over an hour to get 4 pounds of wings. The server felt bad that she made us wait so long that...they gave us a free pound of wings. When the wings came out they were uncooked. We asked for the waiter to comp the uncooked wings and after making a call to the manager they stated that she couldn’t comp our meals. I then asked her if she would eat the wings she served us and she flat out said no but was still going to charge us for them. She continued to let us know that the reason they’re uncooked is because they’re frozen which is a whole other can of worms. I know the wings were half price but I still wouldn’t like to pay for salmonella poisoning. If I could give this place a zero star I would. Hamilton has some amazing spots, this one is definitely not one of them.More

The vibe was nice, the Chicken Antojito Bites were super delicious and the Caesar drink was good but we ordered the Charcuterie Pizza and was told they burned it. We received a new one...45 mins. after we first ordered. We took it home in a...box and enjoyed it later. It was my birthday so I was hoping to enjoy the meal at the restaurant, especially during covid where it's still nice to be able to go out to eat in Hamilton. I mentioned it to a friend who said 'I went there a few weeks ago and they burned the hamburger and had to make a new one'. You guys might want to keep an eye on the stove...More

We had the medium wings which were milder than expected but tasty. They're meaty and crispy. We also ordered the Genoa salami pizza and were surprised to find the salami basically shredded into tiny pieces which were missing in action, I doubt more than 25...cents of salami was used so really a pizza with sauce and cheese. The crust is good and maybe another choice of toppings would result in something satisfactory.More

We were for a family closing day with a nice dinner. But it turns in a very disappointing experience. No oysters, no owen so no pizza, one of the dishes we wanted was pasta but then the waister came to say that they did not...have one of the main ingredients. The Thai salad with shrimps and quinoa was good, although it came just with 5 mini shrimps, unbelievable. On top of that, they trick you with the bill. The bill came with the tip (18%) already calculated (should be optional). If you do not pay attention and if you are paying via interac, the machine will charge you again with another tip (minimum 15%). You can imagine 33% just for a not good service? I do not recommend this restaurant, unless you do not have ANY other option.More

It had been years since we had One Duke. I had heard they changed owners but there it was on the menu “Bob Marley pizza” years ago this dish may have been the best pizza in the city. My wife ordered the fish and chips...and said it was ok, the BM pizza was fairly different. The crust was totally different, they went too hard on the jerk sauce base giving the pizza this clear liquid wetness which isn’t pleasant to consume. Now I understand why of all the menu items they’d keep that one on there as it used to be their most popular item. But why keep it there if you aren’t going to make the effort to stay true to the original recipe? To be clear the new pizza dough is actually still very enjoyable, I think a traditional tomato based pizza would really go down well. Bottom line. Through the pandemic, this restaurant helped feed the elderly living at a residence that was hit hard by the virus. For this they have earned my business and my appreciation!More

Had a good experience at One Duke with friends. Two of us had the hamburger lunch and they were very big and tasty. Had to take half of mine home. My wife had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. The server was very nice...and efficient. A gentleman , probably the owner, came by to ask if all was well. Nice gesture. They have lots of specials during the weeks and football parties. The Super Bowl Party looks like it would be nice to attend. Saw lots of good deals posted, like wings and pitchers etc. Will come back again some time probably in the summer due to their very nice patio.More
