We had heard and read that the Purple pear was an excellent place to dine. And based on the number of people that were seated, it would prove the point. However, my wife's fish was drastically overcooked and my prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, I/we could have done better at home. And I had to ask for the "jus"! When... More

This is the second time here. The first was Easter and now Thanksgiving. Both times the food was well prepared, and well presented. Good flavours and good service. Everyone in the restaurant was well attended and appeared as pleased as were we. It is very reasonably priced compared to other similar venues and we will be back more frequently.

From the moment you walk in the door, it is like stepping back in time when a steak house treated you like a somebody! Love the owner's touch, love the staff's commitment and love the selection and prices. Great date night! Thank you again :D!

My husband and I were looking for a close by restaurant before the Ticat game and was recommended by a co-worker to definitely try the Purple Pear. We had been to this location many years back when was named Martin's Steakhouse. The outside of the building was very inviting with its stone front, large wooden door and has ample of... More

A large group of us went to the Purple Pear for dinner Saturday night to celebrate a few birthdays. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I am looking forward to go there again. Cheryl

I attended with a group of friends and both the service and food were top notch. This was my second time at the Purple Pear and both experiences were great. I started with the Escargot, something that you rarely see on menus these days. It was buttery, garlic deliciousness. I couldn't help but sop up the remaining butter with the... More

Enjoyed a lovely evening here with a large group of people. Prime rib and sides were tasty and service was excellent. Has a nice neighbourhood vibe. Would love to go back!
