I visited the pheasant plucker Friday night for the first time with some friends and had a great time. The service was perfect, not over bearing but very attentive. The 2 waitresses were fantastic and the manager was brilliant . He recommended different drinks for the girls and he knew his scotch! My friends and I will be back to... More

Was here for Panam soccer games and could find nothing close to the stadium with a patio so we ventured out and found this pub. We were just looking for beer and wings and were very happy. Wings were huge and when I ordered suicide I actually got suicide - homemade sauce with scotch bonnets and no hint of "Franks".... More

The friendly greeter led us to our reserved table for eight. We all delighted in the historical building this small, quaint pub is located in. The service was efficient, the beer selection was suitable and the food portions were huge. Everyone was completely satisfied with their meal. A nice place to drop in and have a meal and a pint.

We often go to the Pheasant Plucker. The smallish but super friendly pub has great food with wonderful staff. Whether popping in for a pint and some appetizers, a full dinner or just a drink in the evening we have never had a less than great experience. One of my favourite places to go in Hamilton.

A smal but quaint pub. We have the nachos and chicken wings. Wow great portion size, we order 2 lbs of wings and had to take more than 1/2 home, the wings are huge. I just wish a chicken item on the menu other than wings and add to salad. Would definitely go back here, and the staff were so... More

Heard about their weekend breakfast and had to see for myself. Great! I had the breakfast poutine and my friend had the humongous breakfast. Service was great for a busy Sunday morning. Definitely be back again

We went with friends to get some apps. We planned on staying about an hour but ended up there much longer. It is a nice place to sit and fun if you want to go somewhere a little different. the food was great! The building is unique. Hoping to try a real meal next time. We had poutine garlic bread... It's cool here, right around the corner from Chateau Royale. Good for a cocktail or pint and you can walk home at the end of the night!

Great Pub and Eatery. The service was fast and friendly. The beef was excellent and the pub had a nice intimate feel to it. Would eat here anytime.

Description
Besides being the original pub in the Unique Restaurant Group, our location has the distinction of being the oldest, as well. While the exact construction date is uncertain, it is known that the music professor, R.S. Ambrose, resided here from 1876 till 1891. Along with our beautifully original British Pub atmosphere and decor, the team at The Pheasant Plucker is dedicated to delivering quality ingredients and high level service to all our guests. With original wood plank floors, rough-hewn beams, cozy fireplace, and fieldstone walls, our pub exudes classic British pub charm. Come for our fish 'n' chips and stay for a tasty pint.
