I had the buffalo chicken wrap. It was excellent. Not crazy spicy hot. It was just a the right amount of heat. This is an excellent food specialty store that features many German and British products. Basically a meat store with excellent quality meats, you can also find many of their own pre-made meals such as soups, lasagna, cabbage rolls, etc. Al lare excellent quality. They do...their own sausage and they are very good. There is a small selection of vegetables and a good selection of dairy (great cheese selection) as well as teas, jams, chocolate, cookies, etc. There is an in-store bakery and small deli counter serving meals that can be eaten in or taken out.More
Eaten here (usually take out) mannnnny times over the years and have never been disappointed. The schnitzels are all great! The options for toppings are plentiful (at the hot food counter is fried onions and sauerkraut, after you pay there’s multiple varieties of mustards and...seasonings!). The red cabbage is delicious and a healthy side option. Quinoa salad and tabbouli salad are both very good. You can’t lose with the sausages (although the buns are huge but freshly baked!) because there’s always at least 4-5 options and all are very tasty. The German potato salad tastes homemade. And I always treat myself to a Belgian cookie for dessert: it’s hard to find a good Belgian cookie but they know what they’re doing here! The store offers lots of unique finds and very good prepared meals (the cabbage rolls are my fave). Samples are out: their kielbassas are all delicious. Staff is very friendly. They don’t charge for plastic bags. And they carry lots of homemade baked goods as well as local Hewitt’s Dairy products. Definitely good value for good, homemade, fast food!More
We shop here on occasion when we want something different. The store is very clean and organized and the staff very helpful. The bread is freshly baked and the bakery section has a good variety. This is a specialty store and a little pricy but...the quality is good.More

Come here often with family, for years, enjoy the great food, the chefs are amazing and friendly. Extremely disappointed in cashier "Linda" or "Lydia". Charged extra $$$ for a side on dinner, it was only a tablespoon amount and her reaction was loud and unfriendly....No smiles. Don't ask for a condiment on your dinner, you will be charged $$$!More
We stopped here for lunch today. There is a decent selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and more. You order from the snack bar and seating is available. Prices are reasonable. I had the Swiss burger. It was fine. Fries were good. The real appeal...of this place for me is the gourmet food shopping and excellent meat counter, much of which is homemade.More
I have always enjoyed lunch here before I do some shopping. They offer up good German fare. Not sure about the cooked hamburger patties sitting in liquid on the steam table but people have been buying them for years. The set up in this cafeteria...style eatery needs to be tweaked. I find that the way the line moves you have to order before you are in front of the counter that displays most of the food. The place is always busy.More
Great spot for lunch if you are in a hurry! Food is quick to get as you walk through the cafeteria line, and prices are very reasonable. My girlfriend, a friend, and I went for lunch for under $35.00. Food was very tasty!! Highly recommend...the Schnitzel and Spaetzle. Been here countless times for lunch. Soups are so good and Friday is fish and chips day. Always had a great meal then enjoy looking around the store for groceries. Highly recommend this for a quick, tasty, fair priced lunch.
Although they have a good selection of grocery and hard to find food items I have had repeated problems with their prepared food. Stomach problems and quick expiry.

Denninger's is an upscale European meat store that also features grocery products from Europe, most usually Germany and the United Kingdom although products from a few other countries can be found. They have a bakery area that offers a wide selection of European breads as...well as excellent deserts (cakes and pastries). Their fresh meat counter is one of the best in the city and their smoked hams are about the best you can buy anywhere. They also have a very good cheese area as well as offering often hard to find condiments. Nice selection of tea and coffee is sold. They also have an excellent selection of chocolate especially around Christmas and Easter. A lunch counter provides a good meal at a reasonably price. Well worth the visit if you are looking for something different in the way of food. Especially good for European foods.More
