Based out of a hotel, I expected the fancy drinks to be “better”. We ordered line margaritas and there was no crushed ice and a Ceasar with no celery/pickle/bean/asparagus which I found odd. The margaritas were served in little whisky glasses with a salt/sugar rim and the Ceasar was served in a Mason Jar glass. The drinks were “meh” for flavour. On the other hand, the food was amazing. We had the nacho platter and it was plenty for four of us and we also ordered the cheese balls. We had a nice waiter and the view was beautiful.

For valentines they had a 3 course set menu for $45/pp. For the first course I had pulled duck confit and my partner had crab cakes. I enjoyed mine although I was worried because it looked like cat food but with the jam it was delicious. My partner said the crab cakes were okay. For our main course we had steak with truffle fries. The demi glace with the steak made it feel cheap and the fries were not fresh cut but frozen and you could barely tell they were truffle fries. Lastly the dessert board was cute and our waitress was nice. I got a rose at the end which was a nice surprise. The food was okay overall but we didn’t have a bad time.

We wanted to support the Kingston Licious program and after looking through he list of participants decided that the menu at Wharf and Feather was our best option. To be honest, I was thinking that at $45.00 per person the "deal was not cost appropriate. However, we were both very impressed with the meal. Size of serving and Quality.

What a fabulous experience we had at "The Cove". The restaurant exceeded all of our expectations and our host/waitress "Tania" was an absolute delight to our whole family. She went above and beyond to make sure that our family Christmas lunch was a great one. She was particularly lovely to our 87 year old Mom. The meals were ALL delicious...thanks to your amazing chef! The front of house staff were also very pleasant and helpful, even the young man who moved a sign so that Mom could easily maneuver her walker around. We would certainly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

My 93 year old Mom had invited myself and my Wife to attend the Easter Sunday Brunch at the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront Wharf and Feather Restaurant. We were greeted warmly by Bipin at the door and shown to a beautiful table overlooking the waterfront. The atmosphere was nice and there were lots of others enjoying the brunch. Our server welcomed us and offered mimosas which we thought was a great touch. We wandered up to the buffet which was amply filled with roast pork, honey glazed ham, eggs florentine, antipasto bar, desserts galore and bottomless coffee. We ate like Kings over the next hour while we sipped Mimosas and watched the activity on the waterfront.
What a great venue for Easter Brunch and all the staff were very accommodating, friendly and were eager to help us with any questions we had. We had brought in our parking ticket and were delighted to find out our brunch included free parking.
The place was clean and tidy and everyone attentive. We will be back to enjoy a breakfast in the future with Mom as now we know where to take her!
Great job!

We were staying in the hotel and were really looking forward to having dinner on the patio by the water. As we were waiting to be seated, someone called from inside and said “Sorry we’re closed”
There were people seated and it was at least an hour before closing - she yelled back and said the didn’t have enough staff and people were still waiting for food.
Understand their frustration but at least put a sign up, and come to the front to explain in person.

Four friends looking for a good meal for lunch.
Two of us had the fish chowder. two had the fish and chips.
The fish chowder had two small shrimp and three small mussels. Tasted fine but poor value. When it was served their was a "skin" on the surface. The biscuit that accompanied the chowder was cold and dry. The server returned the biscuits for warming (she said they were supposed to be warm) and they were returned to us cold and dry. The server was made aware of this. Nothing was done.
The fish and chips were not much better. The fish was tasteless and the French fries were well underdone. No crisp to them with mushy centres.
This restaurant in the Holiday Inn says they are "serious about our food".
We found them less than caring and not serious at all.

What a fantastic gem tucked inside a local hotel. Absolutely charming and beautiful to see, it was overshadowed by the tremendous service and exceptional food!
I had the burger on special that evening and my partner had the salmon.
The food and presentation was immaculate, and I would come back any time to try their many other tasty options.
Thank you Wharf and Feather, and more Importantly, the Holiday Inn for allowing a truly unique and special restaurant to be a go-to destination in downtown Kingston.

My wife and I made reservations for dinner to celebrate New Year’s and her birthday as they are on the same day. The 6 course meal offered by W&F was outstanding. It was so tasty and cooked to perfection along with great service and leaving stuffed a great night overall. Kudos to the chef! Will definitely be back to try the regular menu.

This was such a nice romantic meal for my and I on a cold wet winter Friday night. We booked one of 3 domes that they have available for winter seating. The clear wet (from the rain) dome allows the lights outside to take on beautiful odd shapes under a dark sky.
We arrived 45 minutes early and told the maitre d we don't mind waiting until our reservation time. As there was a dome available at this time, he proceeded to seat us.
Our waitress was phenomenal. She provided outstanding service with a smile and was quick to make excellent recommendations. We went with the Salmon. We also had the Cheese Cake truffles for dessert.
The only problem we had was trying to make a reservation. It took almost a week of emails. When I called they told me the only way was to use the online email booking system, but that they had table available for the next weekend. After a few more emails we finally got our reservation. Recommend when you email them tell them everything they will need to know in the first email. Date you want, time, and number of people. Even though we did we still had issues. But it was all worth it.
To the Wharf and Feather, please consider allowing phone reservations.
Thank you for a great evening

I came to this restaurant multiple times and had an absolutely amazing time. The spot was great the food tasted great but overall the bartender Tom made our experience. Not only did he know then food menu and what was good but he also made us cocktails that weren’t on the menu that were insanely tasteful. I would recommend this bar to anyone.

Our group of four enjoyed a delicious appetizer (mini tacos), an impressive main dish salad (“Tower of Power”), wonderful sandwiches (pear, Brie, bacon), and fish and chips. Service was friendly and efficient. The wait for our food was nearly an hour, apparently because the kitchen had trouble keeping up. Lovely ambience, on the water’s edge looking toward a Martello tower.

Arrived there because all the restaurants were closed, we ate well. Warm service but the dishes not unforgettable. Be careful if you take a wrap, it’s very spicy! Go there for the view, why not, but in the evening….plus, the prices are quite high.

My daughter and I ate here 3 times during our stay at the adjacent hotel, 2 breakfasts and 1 supper. The pancakes are enormous and my big eater daughter couldn't even finish it. The bacon was perfect and the potatoes, I could have eaten a plate of just those! While the scrambled eggs seemed a touch under cooked, the omelet was perfect. For supper we ordered a burger and club. I loved that the club was on a flavourful foccacia bread and my daughter said it was the best burger she ever ate. Definitely on the pricey side, but a lovely treat in a beautiful location with fantastic staff

I have stayed at Holiday inn at least 30 times yet never tried the restaurant in lobby. Last night (October 13) they offered a thanksgiving buffet and it was absolutely awesome…. Quality and selection of food was amazing…. Staff were fabulous. I am returning next year if they offer this buffet again.
