In pre-Covid days Geneva had a cook and a server. Now the cook does everything (except clean the place). The savory crepes are fine but it can take a very long time for them to arrive. It feels like it is in decline. Sabbatical Bill

Waiter/ cook needs a lesson in manners!!! Went to grab breakfast with friends and there were 3 other groups in the cafe at the time. After waiting 5 minutes at the door to be seated, we were told we would have to wait 30 minutes...for food which we were fine with. Within the 40 minutes we were there we witnessed the waiter, who was also the cook, role his eyes at the group next to us when they asked for water, be rude to someone while they were paying and yet did not get asked if we wanted anything, were not told he would get to us shortly...nothing. After the 40 minutes of absolutely no service, we decided we would go elsewhere. We got up to leave and he then asked if we were ready to order. I responded, very politely, saying we had somewhere to be so we wouldn't be able to wait longer. He then begins to get annoyed saying he told us we'd have to wait, passive aggressively says that it's fine that we changed our minds and is just over all annoyed and rude. Not too sure if this is the owner or just an employee.... but if it's an employee, they need to go, and if it's the owner...he better learn a lesson...or 10 in manners if he wants his cafe to remain open. Side note, I never write reviews so that goes to show something.More
Extremely rude waiter!! I don’t normally post reviews, but I feel this needs attention. It actually happened to my boyfriend. I persuaded him to write the review, but he didn’t want to cause any problems. I feel obliged to say something. He had taken me...and my parents out for an after-dinner dessert and he had ordered for us the Deep Dutch Brownie Sundae and Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe. When he asked the waiter, “Do you think this will feed four?” Mind you, we hadn’t known how big the crepes were and the portion size. The waiter looked at him and laughed under his breath and said “I don’t know, I’ve seen a person not being able to finish 1 and I’ve seen one person finishing 3 crepes. That’s a dumb question.” My boyfriend just laughed it off to get rid of the awkwardness. I felt bad cuz I know he got embarrassed. This waiter needs to know basic manners and how to answer common questions in restaurants. I believe others have encountered his rudeness too. Please hire waiters/waitresses who treat customers with respect, expected in the service industryMore
The crepe and strawberries that my friend had was delicious according to her. My Bombay Crepe was also good, but need something else on the plate, A smooze of sauce beneath it or on top of it? It just looked like a big burrito plopped...onto the plate. While we were waiting we noticed that the floor was dirty, and it looked like it hadn't been swept in a long time. It did put us off from coming back. If the floor is dirty, what else is dirty?More
Wow! What a nice spot! The selection of crepes was unbelievable. The one i choose was tasty as hell. The maple lattee was also very tasty. Great place in Kingston!
Great gluten-free crepe buck wheat Alsace. Great cappuccinos good detour from 401 wanted to see Kingston. Great view church and book mark
Just go there knowing what to expect - far from fancy, a bit of a dive and enjoy the crepes. I've been twice now and had the Elvis and really enjoyed it. Just go in knowing what to expect.
Waited 1.5 hrs to be served. Food was OK. They forgot one of our orders. Overall a very mediocre experience. Would not attend again.
Checked out this restaurant on TripAdvisor and it's menu ahead of time, and expected a nicer looking place when I walked in. The decor may be cluttered and plain, but the food exceeded my expectations! The cheese fondue was big enough for 4 people, and...excellent. Two of us had sweet crepes and two ordered savoury crepes and they were all delicious. The Bombay savoury crepe was unusual and amazing. The creme brule latte is also highly recommended.More
The owner of this place is extremely rude and refuses to serve families. If you show up with kids or a group of 4 you will be given a hard time for seats. We waited 45 and they served the people behind us with the...same size group. They served a white couple who walked in right away while an Asian gentleman waited in line alone outside. Yes discrimination is alive and doing well in Kingston Ontario at this place.More
This a gem of little place in downtown Kingston. I was super excited that almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free (I have Celiac Disease). I had the Monet Crepe and it was delish! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about cross-contamination...and ensured that the grill/crepe maker and cooking utensils were cleaned before making my crepe. I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a crepe (savory or sweet!). Definitely will be returning when in Kingston!More
We decided to try Geneva Crepe Cafe as the reviews were good and yes the Crepes were good but the restaurant is clutterd and needs a good cleaning which in these Covid times is a concern.
My husband and I came to Kingston for a nights stay and found this restaurant for brunch. The food was fantastic and good portions. Beverages were below average- coffee and tea! Everyone was wearing masks so I felt comfortable. My husband did notice at another...table two people got up and moved to another and then seconds later they sat a family there with out clearing the cutlery or wiping down the table and chairs. I thought that wasn’t good especially since that’s just good practice in the restaurant business. With Covid19 I feel like they need to be a bit more diligent with table cleaning. I’m giving a 4 because of food and I found the service good.More
We decided to try this restaurant despite the mixed reviews. The crepes themselves were very tasty, but the interior of the restaurant wasn't appealing. Messy, lots of clutter and at least 2 of the people working there weren't wearing their face masks. Someone carried a...big bag of garbage out the side door right past our table - gross. And one of the servers was loudly complaining about some customers that had just left the restaurant and didn't like where they were seated - this is really inappropriate to do in front of other customers. I agree with other reviews that talk about how there are so many other great dining options in this area - I would stick with those next time.More
Absolutely delicious, creative combinations. The portions are generous, and everything was so so tastey. They dont cheap out on their ingredients. The owner could not have been more kind, patient, and courteous despite facing a slight hiccup that delayed service. Well worth the wait, and...will certainly go back anytime we are in the Kingston area! We were so happy to have found somewhere to go late night for an incredible sit-down meal. The milkshake and homemade ice tea really hit the spot. My only regret is that the dinner was so filling and satisfying that we didn't want dessert!More
