Simply the best sushi restaurant in Kingston. It's small, welcoming, the sushi is superbly prepared, always fresh, and nicely presented, and it's a family-run business. What's not to like?!

I have been enjoying Sapporo Sushi for years. Never fails to be anything but delicious, fairly priced, and a welcoming atmosphere. There are several good sushi places around Kingston but this one is the best in town.

Roll out the red carpet.... is how you feel when you walk into this humble restaurant. The staff makes you feel like family. Every dish served quickly and with a detailed description. Food was fresh and delicious. Our favorite was the Red Dragon, Chicken Teriyaki...and the Black Sesame Seed Ice cream. Thank you for a memorable dining experience for our family We will definitely be back for more.More

I went here with my girlfriend on a Friday and we both had the King "All you can eat" option. Every dish was incredibly tasty and fresh and we loved all of it. The absolute cherry on top was the humble and personal service we...received. Each sushi item was personally served by the chef and he described each dish as he was serving it. Definitely a must try for sushi-lovers, and a very cute "hole-in-the-wall" type spot.More

Came here Thanksgiving Monday, and what a fresh break it was from too much turkey on the weekend. This is a small family restaurant. Staff was welcoming, friendly and most importantly food was absolutely delicious! My daughters were even asking for more! Don't forget to...ask for the black sesame ice cream, very creamy and a neat experience! A must try when visiting beautiful Kingston, will definitely come back!More

If I have a choice will won't give any star at all. I am extremely disappointed with their restaurant. I placed the order on phone . I told the person who took the order that I want all white fish change to Salmon. She told...me there will be $2 charge. I agreeed to pay the extra $2 when I picked up the order the guy told me that extra $16 for the changes. They have my phone number they should call me to confirm if I want to pay the extra $16. Their the employee made a mistake they should just take the lost . I asked for extra soy saucem the guy not willing to give me. Very poor Customer service and rude not even apologize for the for their mistake and they charge wrong. Lucky I checked the bill. Food quality be is so bad all not fresh at all. I won't buy from there anymore. Ruin my mother's Day dinner. Everyone said bad food quality and u can see no heart to make the sushi. Everything looks ugly. I warn you thing twice before you order.More

We ordered the 20 nigiri (raw fish on rice), 12 roll medium sushi combo, the gyoza appetizer and Dynamite B roll - it was so fresh and delicious. They used a really nice spicy sauce instead of spicy mayo like other sushi restaurants on the...dynamite, that was way better and tastier, but definitely spicier as well. Would go back soon and highly recommend!More

This is a unassuming hole in the strip mall wall restaurant. We ordered lots of maki and I think just about all of it came with large pieces of cucumber. Presentation was excellent. I would describe the place as unassuming and the maki as middling....Good value for money. We will return. Try the Jamaican rolls.More

The place is very unassuming, but don’t let that fool you. We were looking for a dine-in sushi place to celebrate our anniversary. We were very impressed with the freshness, quality and service. We started with the seafood salad (fresh and tasty) and Miso soup...(hot, delicious). We had the Kings menu each, which is an all you can eat. We tried many different sushi makis including red dragon, dragon, Sapporo, dynamite, spicy dynamite and the house favourite (which name I can’t recall plus several nigiri. I normally don’t care for butterfish nigiri but the regular and especially the torched versions were superb. The service was friendly and quick. I would happily eat here again.More

Sapporo restaurant is owned and run by a delightful husband and wife duo known as Karen and Mark. They started out downtown and moved uptown to a smaller location some years ago. Smaller venue but big flavor. Homemade everything and the BEST miso soup in...town hands down. They offer excellent deals - Queen/King sushi and apps for only 20-25! (As good as all-you-can-eat) they are also willing to make substitutes for those who have allergies/prefer milder seasonings. All topped off with Marks signature housemade hot sauce and housemade soy sauce. Large menu, al la carte, bento boxes, teriyaki sizzles, appetizers, and boats to name a few. Been coming here for almost 20 years and the service is always very friendly and food always delicious. highly reccomend sushi lovers don't miss out and give this place a try!More

If you’re a Sushi lover appreciating freshness, quality of ingredients, presentation of food and personable, excellent service - this could be your place. I’ve been there with my son first time today; I am a frequent Sushi eater and came out totally enthusiastic about the...whole dining experience. Don’t get thrown off by the simple strip mall location, we got Incredible value for the money in my opinion, cannot recall when I’ve last had Sushi that was so great. Which is all the more astonishing with an all you can eat formula that tend to cut corners on something. Will go back next time I’m in Kingston for sure. Thank you, Sapporo team!More

Me and my husband were in town on vacation for our anniversary and googled sushi places nearby and we ended up at Sapporo. The menu was a little overwhelming for us but the owner came over and explained the queen and king all you can...eat. We started with the queen combo and shared it to see how we liked it. We were able to choose exactly what we wanted and the food was absolutely amazing. It was so fresh and the rice ratio was perfect. We ended up having a second queen combo and it was more than enough. The owners were super nice and even put a candle on one of our plates to congratulate us on our anniversary. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope to go back soon!!!More
