Everything seemed perfect, but we didn’t find the food spectacular. The staff were excellent. What was telling was when my husband said his pizza reminded him of a frozen one he has had. The salad was very fresh but the dressing was bland.
This restaurant had been suggested to us by a number of people so we decided to try our luck at getting in. It was a very busy Saturday night here but if you were willing to wait you could wait for a table on the...patio. We joined the others waiting and eventually were seated in the outdoor patio area. The service was friendly, with all of the hustle and bustle downtown, it was a fun atmosphere. It appeared to be very busy and bustling inside as well. Our food was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed by pizza (Alla Patricia) and my husband LOVED the chicken dish that he had - Poulet Baton Rouge 2.0. Well worth the wait!More
Service was awesome at first. I order my pizza crust well down it was burnt. Waitress ignore that when I mentioned to her. Plus two toppings we’re missing. Definitely not gourmet pizza. This restaurant was highly rated. No reflection on bill about burnt crust definitely...will not be back. Place is way over rated.More
Very poor service unfortunately, the restaurant refused to accommodate us ( my wife and my 3 kids), the waitress said that the reason is that they want ro maximize the number of tables and customers and that if they will need to break another table...to fit us. Very disappointing !!!!More
My wife and I try and spend a few weekends a year in Kingston and last summer we walked by Wooden Heads quite a few times and finally a few weeks while staying the night in Kingston we decided to give it a try, we...did curbside pick up, pulled up and they brought it out before the car was even in park. It was amazing, would definitely recommend trying it, plus its in a great location to go for a small walk after eatingMore
Picked up pizzas curbside for my wife and I. She had Prosciutto and I had the Loco. These two pizzas were recommended by locals, and they were excellent choices. Leftovers even tasted good the next day!
Just visited Wooden Heads downtown Kingston. Always love dining there. You are never disappointed. The pizzas are a wonderful fusion of different tastes and texture and their Poulet Baton Rouge is awesome. I had the special which was a lovely fettuccine with tarragon sauce and...melt in your mouth scallops. Yum! You can't go wrong at this fabulous restaurant. We think this is the best restaurant in Kingston hands downMore
We really enjoyed our lunch at Wooden Heads.
A blackened shrimp appetizer was very tasty although a bit expensive for what you got.
Never expected to have spring roles in an Italian restaurant but this riff was very cool. Lovely stuffing of purple cabbage ,...blackened chicken and feta made for a delightful taste experience.
The pizzas were also excellent. Even though the crust was not bubbly it was still light and fluffy. Somewhat less impressive was my Spaghetti Bolognese. Nothing per se wrong with it , but the pasta was clearly not house made and the sauce was a bit bland.
All in all a very good experience .More

I can't recall, I'm afraid, and as I wasn't there with children, I wasn't specifically looking. That being said, there are all kinds of options for wood fired pizza which would potentially meet the needs of children.
