Last night we revisited this ‘superb in every way’ restaurant located in the Best Western hotel in Kingston, Ontario. Was it as good as we remembered? Absolutely. The food was exceptional in taste and presentation. The service was equal to that in timeliness, accommodation and...More

Lighter. brighter, uncluttered. Quartz counters, new dishes that you have to see for yourself. Still serving amuse bouche , (tasty morsels on cucumber, or a biscuit), and chocolate coated strawberries. In between there is prime rib, surf and turf, lamb shanks and more.

The portion of salmon is perfectly cooked and could easily be shared. The lobster, crab and cream sauce brings toast points to mind but why not enjoy the presentation as is ...with quinoa and vegetable ribbons? They've also added a fried tofu skewer & cucumber...More

We are staying on the hotel that Bistro Stephan is located in and decided to have dinner there. We are glad we did. The oysters, the lamb, the prime rib, the creme brulee, it was all mouth wateringly good. The atmosphere reminded us of a...More

The atmosphere is quiet and low-key, the dining space intimate without being crowded and it feels cosy. The wine list is well-balanced and the menu extremely interesting in its choices. The service is well-paced and friendly. I believe French is spoken too.

Sorry to hear.

We are seniors and were not interested in prime rib. However, we found the soup; appetizers; strawberries delightful. We were not treated as unimportant because we were not splurging on a gourmet dinner.

Ok. I will say on this visit the service was exceptionally good. We had Howard and he was fabulous from start to end. So attentive. Food was nice. I love the house salad. Prime rib was very nice. Great atmosphere, really cozy.

HI Kevin, no there is not a dress code, it is fairly casual although some guests dress up. The atmosphere is warm, charming and receptive so either attire works. Thanks for inquiring Joanne (Manager)
