We Had an early dinner here. It was a hardy and flavourful meal (souvlaki dinner and lamb shank special), with tasty spanakopita and bread to start. Service was friendly, a bustling spot. Make a reservation — we were there on a Thursday night at 6pm and they were turning people away.

Warm restaurant, good welcome on Princess Street in Kingston. It is always difficult out of season to be able to eat after 7:30 p.m. and we were very well received. The menu is varied and the dishes are copious for good value for money. We had the moussaka

My family and I were visiting Kingston Canada from San Diego and what a gem this place is. This is the second time we’ve been here in two years and we ordered food for 10 people. It was unanimous, by far the best Greek food in town. I would go to the extent by saying it beats all the Greek restaurants we’ve been to in San Diego. The service is top notch, the atmosphere is cozy and private and the food was unbelievably amazing. We will be back here on our next visit, guaranteed.

I’m almost at a loss for words but let me take a crack at it…. For my parents birthdays I advised them that Greco’s had great food. So they decided on Greco’s but wanted take out. They are in their 60’s and 70’s so they eat fairly early. When I checked the website it said it was open at 4:30 and I called as soon as they were open, placed my order and waited for delivery. I figured they were busy but after 1 hour 15 mins I called them back to make sure they didn’t forget. A young lady answered and then put me on hold. A gentleman picked up the call next and started assertively telling me it’s busy and there are 2 other orders that need to be delivered first and it would be another hour. I told him I was surprised because I called right at 4:30 when they opened. He then told me that wasn’t possible because the girl that took my order didn’t come in until 5 pm. I promised him I called at open and even offered a screen shot of the time of the call. His response was “I can cancel your order if you want” I responded no, if our order was still at the restaurant I would come pick it up. At this point I just wanted to feed my hungry parents for their birthdays. Then he said it was going to be 15-20minutes before it was ready. So off I go to pick up our food and when I got there I went through the side entrance which is right beside the kitchen. A wait staff came over and took my name, went back in the kitchen and announced I was here. Initially I wasn’t really paying attention but then realized someone in the kitchen was yelling about something. Imagine my surprise when I realize the guy yelling was complaining about me and how there was no way I ordered it at the time I said I did. He was 1 person doing 3 jobs….and so on. When the waiter came back out he said it wouldn’t be long. At that time I asked to speak with a supervisor, to which he responded “the owner is here but he’s really busy”. I said “oh, is that the guy yelling in the kitchen?” And he replied “yes he’s just angry, it’s ok”. But it’s not ok, I paid for my food and considered pressing the point but the owner was obviously already angry and busy and I didn’t want to add fuel to the fire. I ordered as early as possible to avoid crowds and I think the girl I ordered from maybe forgot to put it in? I really don’t know. What I do know is that I would never treat anyone like that. The fact that this was the owner is shocking to say the least. It’s unfortunate but I’m not a fan of paying over $100 to hear the owner talking smack about me to his staff.This will be the last time I order from or recommend Greco’s.

This is THE BEST restaurant in Kingston and area. There are many items to pick from on the menu, my favourite being the shrimp platter. It’s a hard choice for my husband between the pickerel or the lamb shank. Each meal is served with the freshest vegetables cooked to perfection with delicious Greek potatoes. The service is professional and friendly. We are never disappointed!

The BEST place for greek food in the city. We frequently order takeout (have never dined in but I'm sure the atmosphere is great). Meals come with a giant salad (upgrade it to a greek!) and most come with potatoes and rice. 2 meals and an app can feed 2 of us for 2-3 meals each.

We were accommodated without a reservation in a small table, but comfortable enough. We ordered ouzo, tarama salata and shared a generous mixed grill of meats. Quality of the meats was good, but the tatama wasn’t what we have expected. It tasted as if was made with far too much starch (potatoes?). This is me of my wife’s favourite dish, but here is fell much below three bar. Service was very good and the experienced server made an effort to make us happy.

Grecos is my # 1 restaurant choice. Besides offering the best quality and extensive menu in Kingston, Jimmy & his staff exude old-school top-notch customer service, genuinely caring about your food experience. Every time I go to Grecos, I feel like I’ve been invited into a loving family’s kitchen, and I leave knowing that someone went out of their way to make me happy.

Greco's is an amazing local family owned restaurant that has serviced Kingdston and area for many decades. They continue to offer outstanding meals with fabulous personal servie. They go above and beyond to make your dinning experience memorable. New items on the specials menu constantly add new favourites to my desired food list as well as old standards that keep people coming back repeatedly. Jimmy and his woinderful staff always make you fee llike you are family when you dine at Greco's, If you are visiting Kingston or live here full time, you cannot say you know great food in our city unless you have eaten at Greco's.

Once again an amazing meal at Grecos despite our terrible server. We began by moving our table a couple of inches so our other guests could squeeze in. David our server reprimanded us saying "don't do that, I've done that already" With room to spare on the other side, we did anyway and our arriving friends still barely squeezed inÂ
Next we ordered glasses of wine. As he left we decided on a bottle instead. My friend went to inform him of the switch and to that he said "I can't deal with this, I have another table, I'll come to your tableÂ
Now time to take the orders for 6 people and he asks" How are we doing the bills? " After some friendly banter because we all wanted to pay, he, with the most sour face and running out of patience said" I just need to know, how you're paying" He may as well have said cut the crap, how do I split the bills
With the main course finished, he brought large take out containers to the table. We then sat for 20 minutes, containers on the table with no return check in. Celebrating 2 birthdays, dessert would likely have been nice but when he finally returned to say, "you guys ok?" no one was feeling like dessert anymore. It would have been nice to have just been asked if we wanted dessert, coffee or tea earlier as he brought take out containers.Â
Grecos is consistently great and we will return but will make sure to ask for a different serverÂ

Ahhh Jimmy! Grecos hosted our 13th annual Kingston conference, we have eaten there every year! Servicemaster Franchisees from Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Niagara, and more agree that Grecos has the best in authentic Greek food anywhere! 18 hungry and thirsty people were served in professional and excellent fashion as always, the lamb!! The veal chop!!! The Lobster Pasta!!!! A HUGE THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS for serving and hosting us on Jimmy's birthday.

Absolutely amazing service at Grecos. We didn’t have a reservation, didn’t think we’d need one on a Thursday, but we should’ve - even during the week.
We sat at the bar, which by no means was a downgrade… in fact, I think we hit the dinner lottery! Brian was great! He offered no bullsh!t advice on the different dishes, drinks and desserts and he was 100% accurate on everything suggested.
We’ll definitely be back, next time with reservations and AT the bar.

I used to think that I didn’t mind spending money on a restaurant as long as I felt I enjoyed it for the money I spent. After going to Grecos I think that I’m going to re-evaluate what makes a good restaurant for me! I now feel like a restaurant needs to surpass my expectations on every front! The menu was large and varied making me want to come back to try other things. They had specials that were interesting and turned out to be fantastic! The pricing was better than other fine dining offerings in the city. The portions were large (even with expensive fair like lobster!) which always makes me happy! The bar had a great selection of varieties of spirits that the bartender was obviously proud of. The waiter had a great personality and the couple we went with was laughing and enjoying every minute! I can’t wait to go again!!

We found this place for lunch many years ago and it is a 'go to' when we are in the Kingston area. Now just serves dinner. Greek focus, of course, but broader 'mediterranean' menu as well. Not that big so reservation suggested. Attentive service, friendly and helpful. The Kalamari is quite different from the norm ... and very good. I took a feature, which our server said was a specialty of the house, Greek - a braised Lamb Shank that was so tender it popped off the bone with my fork. Very properly perpared veggies on the side - not mushy!! She went for the lasagna and pronounced it very, very good! Actually boxed some for a late-night at the hotel. Nice bot of wine to share. Lovely evening!

Grecos is a major winner.
100% gourmet on every selection on the menu. I've been going to Grecos for 35 years and have tried every dish on the menu and many that are not on the menu. Every dish is gourmet . The owners are the cooks and ensure your dining experience is the best. I've gone through years or being a vegetarian and now I'm a carnivore and I always find the food and service at Grecos the best for anyone.
