We didn't have a reservation on a Friday evening, and the parking lot looked full. Luckily, it was early-ish, and SHIKI had room for us. Service was fast and very pleasant. Deep fried panko crusted oysters; two complete dinners: Ume (sushi & shrimp combo), and...Sakura (teryaki chicken & beef). (Salad, miso soup, appetizers, veggie & shrimp tempura, rice and ice cream). Magnificent. Highly recommend SHIKI.More

After we were finally able to order, we eventually got our seaweed salad appetizer, and our feelings of frustration turned to delight -- welcome crunch accompanied high quality seaweed. We each ordered a Deluxe Sushi platter and were glad we did. Except for the maguro,...the quality ranged from good to excellent and the breadth of selection was definitely excellent. We were sorry that the miso soup arrived in the middle of our meal instead of at the end as we had requested, but it was hot and tasty enough even after waiting to provide a very satisfying period to the meal.More

This place is amazing! They have a small sign at the door letting you know if they have uni available that day - that's all I need to know! Fresh fish, crispy, fresh produce and friendly service make every visit very enjoyable. Word of caution,...you will want to drink the salad dressing straight out of the little pitcher - but don't :D. I don't know what on Earth they put in that dressing, but it is absolutely finger-licking (or pitcher gulping) good. As for uni, if you like your sushi you probably love uni and know how hard it is to find it and how much it costs. At Shiki, they serve uni relatively often and at a fair price, always fresh and a solid size per piece. I have never had their hot dishes, but I often see people having them so I would not be surprised if those are as good as their sushi. This place is a London must!More

Owned and run by Japanese. Food was authentic and delicious. The staff, believe he is the owner, told us the fish name when deluxe sushi arrived. Udon soup was light and in-house made, highly recommend to finish the soup. They also offer some authentic Japanese...side dishes. Service was slow so make sure you are not in a rush. Highly recommended.More

Best Japanese food anywhere. Im a sushi / sashimi lover and this place is beyond delicious. Soft shell crab is the best ever as are the Scallops. Their home made sauces and dressings are out of this world! Definitely do not miss this incredible food...experience! 5stars all the way! Service is attentive and quick. The menu accommodates raw and cooked preferences... even good for vegans however who wants to dine with a vegan..;) one of the top 3 restaurant in London .. don’t miss outMore

My family and I have been going to Shiki in London since I was young. There are not too many Japanese options in London but I find their food quality to be more consistent and has a good variety for a la carte. For a...recent family dinner we ordered Sashimi appetizer, soft shell crab, shrimp & veggie tempura entree, Hokkai Don (spicy salmon / Ikura on top of rice with cucumbers) and Sake Chazuke ( grilled salmon + rice, with green tea to be poured in). We also originally ordered Tonkatsu but unfortunately the waiter forgot to add in our order, we didn’t bother to order it again as we were full from everything. Out of all the dishes Hokkai Don was my favorite. If you ever go during lunch, they have a bento called Shiki Special that is a favorite of mine as you get soup/salad, small sashimi plate, a bento with tempura/sushi/chicken/fish + dessert. Great deal for approx $18.99. Lastly, due to covid I recommend making reservations as it gets filled up quickly at night :)More

took our first year university student niece out for dinner last night and sushi was requested. Not the easiest place to find if you don't get beyond the other sushi shop just 100 m away! the place was pleasant, with music at a conversationally acceptable...level. We were offered our choice of tables (even though we had booked ahead) and ordered drinks and edamami. Not overly salted but fresh and warm. We also ordered a spider roll (soft shell crab) but interestingly, there were only 4 pieces. Seemed like only half the crab was there! :) different style, I guess. for mains, we had a sushi plate, an udon soup and chicken teriyaki. All were delicious. The fish was fresh and the teriyaki came on a bed of bean sprouts with side of white rice. It was hot and tasty! So, if you are in London and are looking for an excellent Japanese spot for dinner - check this out. It is so much more than sushi. Sadly, there was no Ramen..... but you can't have everything! :) Oh, although we didn't mention it.... the waiter noticed a birthday bag on the chair and so brought an ice cream bowl with cut fruit garnish and a sparkler! nice touch! :)More

First time here and will definitely be back! Friendly and great service. The food was delicious and generous portions. Going to make reservation next time as it is smaller and would not want to have to wait.

Checked out reviewsfirst. I have driven past this restaurant for years. It is well signed, but tucked away in a small plaza. I was promptly greeted and seated by friendly staff. The seating area is divided into 2 sections each seating 25-30. Decor was a...little tired, but clean and pleasant. Service was prompt and timely, without being rushed or intrusive. I ordered the Tokyo Platter which consisted of sushi, sashimi and a couple pieces of cucumber roll. Choice of soup or salad to start, I got Miso soup which was as good as at most other Sushi places. The platter came promptly and was nicely presented. The Sushi was fresh and tasty and turned out to be just the right amount for one. The bil with tax tip and a small hot Sake came to approx $40. Overall a very pleasant dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back again.More

We've been coming here for over 20 years, hands down the best Japanese food in London. Service has always been great, and the food is consistently high quality. Lunch specials are especially good value. We've never been disappointed.

I'm not going to talk about "authentic" because I'm not from Japan. I know that the food here is consistently good over three years of stopping in there on dates or solo.
