We all know what the food is like and the atmosphere. Wide selection of appetizers, entrees and what appears to be store bought desserts, and ice cream. My parents visited London and I was happy to bring them to the Mandarin since they this type...of restaurant is not usually available to them. We walked in and the man at the entrance podium put my name on his list for a table. He looked at my parents who are seniors and said "it's a 45 minute maximum". My parents did not hear this and they were looking forward to this place so I did not walk out which I wanted to do. That restaurant attendant was rushing seniors because he wanted a fast turn over and more money. I did not rush my parents. Took my time and let them enjoy their food. I just thought everything kind of had the same taste. Anyway, the main point here, this place does not care about the customers, but about making as much money as possible, even if it means rushing seniours through their meals. Maybe things have changed since then? I have not gone back.More

This Mandarin far exceeds many of the other Mandarins. Service is always top notch, managers go around and make sure everything is excellent and food is always fresh. Very clean and always good. Been to many Mandarins but this one always is the best. Love...the Wellington St Mandarin....More

It was great. Busy but, that must say something. They food was great. Hot, tasty, a good variety, it was pretty epic. Our waitress Kathy was super friendly and very attentive. We will be back.More

We arrived before they were open but once they were we got to open a lot of the dishes and as usual everything is simply amazing! We have been there a few times and never disappointed!

We were very pleased with the service and the food, a wonderful & clean buffet. You can always find food- even for the pickiest eater. The variety is amazing. We do find the price a bit high but understand the overhead they must cover. People...only think about the cost and amount of the food they consume yet fail to realize all the other costs involved providing this type of establishment. I suggest using the Mandarin for special occasions, if this is a concern. Otherwise... enjoy your meal.More

The mandarin is no longer a budget-friendly visit. 2 adults +2 kids (fountain drink each) = $150. Sure, you can eat as much as you want, but a 45 year old doesn't pound back the plates, nor does a 5 or 10 year old who...pay 1/2 adult fees. The quality of the food is alright, but nothing particularly specacular, and the birthday rules now force you to have 4 adults to qualify for a free meal. Food good for people who enjoy quantity over quality. Won ton soup was very disappointing…watery broth, mushy oatmeal texture inside noodles.Hot and sour soup was very bitter. Small steak pieces were inedible…tough, tough, tough.Spring rolls had texture of a heated up leftover. Maple spareribs tasted...like pieces of fat and gristle covered with sweet sauce. Our young grandsons loved it all, not the adults.More

My family and I attended the London south location to celebrate a birthday. I was parking my car as my family went inside. As I entered I saw my 4 year old son crying and everyone in a bad mood. They advised me that the...manager Margaret was giving my 4 year old son a hard time and drilling him with questions for his age. And then she was demanding to see my 82 year old dads ID because of his sr discount. Margaret the manger totally ruined everything. They didn’t even bring out a little cupcake like they do because of her. Terrible terrible person. Ruined the whole experience.More

Doesn't seem that anyone has reviewed Mandarin since they are BACK ON LINE. 5***** Changes.... Cvd19 passport.......... good................ same team with some new faces as per expected. Tables are about same distance, well spaced. Plastic gloves are worn when you go on the buffet line....Very good to be back, pretty much the same layout, and items. Wife missed the deep fried breaded shrimp but there was another shrimp preparation. Definitely will go back, Friday? Great Canadian Chinese......... second to none, like the Wellington location better than London North.More

I order from Mandarin at least a few times per month. I ordered again today and it was so great! A number of times they gave me a free slice of pie with my order, today though they gave me four free butter tarts and...they were so good! I am single so when I order its enough food for my dinner and enough leftovers for the next day. Today I had some extra money so I thought I would add Moo Goo Gai Pan to my order because I love it so much but never tried it from Mandarin. It was so great and there was so much of it that along with the other food I ordered (I always order the same combination a) I have enough food for lunch and dinner tomorrow. Their chicken fried rice is the best chicken fried rice I've ever had (that's not my favorite though, the sweet and sour pork is amazing!). I had it delivered and was so impressed again that I called them back to tell them how great it was, thank them for the free butter tarts and tell them that I am going to write a review online if I can find a place to do it. She asked my name and phone number and was so happy and thankful for my call that she added a $5 credit for my next order! I thought Mandarin was already great, today they became even greater! I tried to upload a picture of the Moo Goo Gai Pan but it won't let me so I can only add a picture of the combination a which is so much better than it looks! Jason McCombMore
