We heard many great things about this restaurant but unfortunately, it just didn't measure up to the hype. Our experience was fine but not outstanding. The live music was lovely but a bit too loud for the elderly persons in our midst. The food was...adequate but two dishes- the Filet Diane and Caesar salad prepared at our table were above average. The wait staff were run off their feet and seemed rushed. We were advised that they were short-staffed. Maybe this restaurant deserves a second try (but not on a busy Saturday night).More

By far the best dining experience in London. Visiting my son studying at Western, and staying at Park Hotel, so enjoyed The Tasting Room and Garlic’s (walkable) but cannot say enough about finding this gem! We will be back once more before we leave in...a few days… that’s how good it was. Food out of this world… table side specials all the way! Service impeccable, music and art work outstanding… Can’t say enough about this truly well run gem. Thank you Michaels on the Thames.. so lucky we got your last table for 2 tonight! Took advantage of the meals prepared at the table. Caesar salad was fabulous as was the château Chateaubriand. Todd prepared both dishes well and with flair. Great night out that included live music.

I used to love the place they have a nice view and I used to love the live piano music and the food and service used to be 5 star The service was pretty disappointing thruout we made reservations weeks in advance and our table...wasnt ready when we got there Anything from the bar took half an hour I ordered a drink when my dinner arrived and it showed up after my bill The waitress whose section we were apparently supposed to get came over to apologize we got seated in another section which she told us was more busy this puzzled us Oh and my menu was missing the beef page (which is what I wanted) I found out when my wife asked me later why I didnt get the prime rib and I said they didn't have it she said yes they did and I found out my menu musta been missing the page The food was okMore

My husband and I very much enjoyed our dinner this past Saturday evening. The restaurant itself has a nice calm romantic feel. The live music coming from upstairs was a special treat. This was the first time I had ever seen French Onion soup served...with Tempura Onions on top. Very good! Our steaks were prepared to perfection, and I especially enjoyed the mashed potatoes with sour cream and green onion. To finish off our meal we indulged in the Cherries Jubilee! Excellent! Special thank you to our server Karen, great job. We will definitely come visit again when we travel back to London.More

We made a reservation for dinner for their Thursday Jazz night last night. When we made the reservation the girl told us that she would try her best to get us in the "Jazz" room and if not we would be just outside in the...room adjacent where we could hear and see all. We went for the music and it was a great opportunity to get out again with friends. Well, we didn't make it into the "Jazz" room, the speakers were not on for two of the music sets, and we couldn't see because of the window posts and the glare on the glass.More

Had a lovely dinner with friends. I have eaten here several times over the last 30 years so lots of nostalgia attached to this experience. If it is your first time, the ambiance/decor may feel a bit dated - except for the new art work....Menu is very heavy on meat dishes. No table side preparation is being offered at this time which is disappointing because the price is higher due to that enhanced experience. Service was impeccable- so very polite and attentive. Taste of food was delicious. We ordered caesar salad, strawberry salad, lime shrimp, steak Diane, lamb and the scallop pasta. Portions were generous and well presented. Paid corkage fee and brought our own wine. An aerated decanter was provided. Only disappointment was dessert. We had the drunken monkey - value not there for serving size and bananas were too firm.More

We had not visited this restaurant in quite sometime. We went on a Thursday night so that we could enjoy the group that was entertaining on the patio as we knew their music was great. We decided to order what we had in the past...which was the Chateaubriand. We were not advised that due to covid it could not be prepared tableside. Had we been told we would have ordered from the special menu. Everything was cold by the time it got to the table. The meat was not of good quality. Not once did any staff come near us to ask how we were enjoying the meal. Our empty plates sat on the table for a long time . The dish the sauce was in was left on the table until I asked the staff to remove it about twenty minutes after she had finally removed the plates. Another feature that we have enjoyed in the past was the staff pouring the wine for us. After she brought our dinner she never came back until she removed the dishes. We eat out a fair bit at much cheaper restaurants and receive far better service. The saving grace for us was the entertainment was great. All in all it was extremely disappointing. For the $180.00 we were charged for two, we could have ate at less expensive restaurants a few times. We are not in the habit of giving bad reviews and we know that Covid has impacted the restaurants greatly, but this was unacceptable for a restaurant of this calibre.More
